Western Dental part of Brident Dental & Orthodontics

I was traveling through Reno and needed emergency dental work done. Western dental was there for me and I was able to make an emergency appointment. I received excellent service there, they were welcoming gracious and generous with me. I am very grateful for their service.

My experience has been nothing but positive with the front staff! Every visit I am made to feel welcomed with genuine care.They make sure to do a wonderful job accommodating my needs about any treatment I will be receiving & not to mention the wellness calls I received after every treatment! Keep up the wonderful job!!!

If I could have given no stars I would have. This was hands down my worst experience ever at a dentist The doctor and nurse was mean Rude And had no compassion for my pain At one point he hit the nerve and I screamed and he told me to shut up and Stop acting like a baby he even told me that they should just" cut off my head" because my teeth were so bad I paid over 2000 cash up-front then halfway through the doctor said I was acting like such a baby he was not going to be able to finish today so I have to go back in two weeks to get this finished or lose my money the dentist office gives me anxiety to begin with and now after being treated this way its worse I have never been disrespected this bad by anyone let alone by a doctor all because I was nervous and I know I'm not the only one who has anxiety going to the dentist and when I left they gave me no take home instructions or any advice on how to care for it if I can get the money back for the work he has left to do I will never go back

I must say I have one problem keeping my appointments with this Dental Office and the well mannered Dentist and staff I find so concerned, caring and professional. I have had treatments that have been deep yet not painful from injections to root canal . I am so glad I chose this office and lucked upon a great dentist. Since 2018 being a patient I recommend to friends and strangers1👍🏾

I’ve never had a great experience with dentists. However - my kind has changed .

Very grateful to this office. I was totally overwhelmed with the amount of work I needed. They helped with answering all my questions and with financing. I’m only 3/4 of the way through it and really excited for the final outcome . 🤙

I was there yesterday as a new patient to get my teeth cleaned. I was very disappointed. Before going to that office, I have been seeing the same dentist for 9 years in Maryland until I moved to Reno, NV. When I went to Western Dental for the first time they made me feel like they just like to make money. The doctor told me to replace my crowns, put bridges, pull my teeth out, etc because it will cause infection and will ruin my teeth if I don't do it. I told him that I've been going to the same dentist for years and told me that as long as it doesn't bother me to leave my teeth alone and as long as I continue my every 6 months dental cleaning, in which I have been doing and it really didn't bother me at all, but the doctor in Western Dental told me that it has to be fixed. They quoted me $6,971.00 to do the work. Another thing is that I did not fill out the care credit form that they gave me but when they showed me the quote to do my teeth, my credit score was there. I asked the lady who did it if she pulled my credit she said that it will not affect my score because it was just a soft inquiry. I never experienced that a dentist office would inquire about my score without my permission. When it comes to cleaning my teeth, it was so different. The dental hygienist did not even clean my teeth, she did not clean around my gum line and between my teeth, all she did was polishing my teeth. Very disappointing!

If I could give a 0 star I would. I get a call at 10:01am the day of my appointment while I'm driving to the office telling me my insurance isn't arroved for that office and I need to call my insurance company to get it approved my appointment was at 11. My daughter also had an appointment at 12:30 when we got there they told us they were 20 minutes behind then they didn't call us in until 1130 they took my daughter 1st, She was done before me they didn't do her cleaning appropriately. The orthodontist came in and told me they couldn't fix my teeth with clear alliners because I had a bridge even though my other orthodontist told me that that was the only way they could fix the gaps in my teeth and not with braces. There's one Dentist he didn't numb me before stabbing me with a needle and then told me not to cry, when he saw that I was clearly in pain he continued to work on my and not allow me to gather myself I was in literal tears gapsing from the pain and this person did not stop what he was doing. The office staff is rude. They're trying to tell me that I need $3600 worth of work out of pocket after insurance so that they can put crowns and feelings on/in teeth that aren't hurting and that I need a new bridge when mine is only 10 years old. I told them we had another appointment at 2 in sparks and that i was already an hour and a half past my 11am appointment and no one had see us yet, they then decided that instead of giving us proper service they would started to rush us out the door then they had the nerve to tell us that they saved us time because my daughter's appointment was at 12:30 and they brought her in early. I'm sorry but no we will not be visiting this office ever again. Unprofessional, uncaring and unacceptable behavior all the way around.

Update: Today the next day after this catastrophe, I get an email telling me my Appointment for September 21st at 1130am was CONFIRMED, I immediately called and told them I never scheduled such appointment and to remove myself and my daughter from the patient list. I can only assume they scheduled it knowing I would not be back so they could charge me a no show fee. SCAMMERS

I felt the dentist really understood my pain and was willing to listen and strategically figure out how to pull my abscess tooth as novacane and lidocaine doesnt work on me but only for seconds. He didn't leave me and made sure i would be ok. That dentist was the best .

I had a great experience at Western Dental. They made it easy which is great since I'm not so fond of the dentist. I would highly recommend it to my friends and family.

After dealing with dentists who were horrible and uncaring, we finally found an office where not only the dentists are AMAZING, but the hygienists and the front office staff are equally as amazing.

A few weeks ago, I took my two teen daughters to see Dr Thomas to have a ton of work done. My girls had some cavities filled at a Carson City Dentist and the fillings were falling out after a year and it was just awful. My girls had a fear of dentists after going through some bad experiences with dentists in Carson City.

Dr Thomas made them feel very comfortable and has an awesome bedside manner with the kids! He has a way of making them feel comfortable and has a great personality. He was able to make my daughters teeth look amazing by fixing their teeth AND making them cosmetically beautiful. He truly changed my daughters life. She is always smiling with her teeth now, whereas before she never smiled with her teeth showing.

The ladies in the office are very professional and very caring. The whole establishment is awesome. I'd give them more than 5 stars if Yelp allowed it. I highly recommend going here!!
