While I can't attest to the work done here I can definitely had a negative experience trying to get an appointment. After spending the morning(around 9) in the phone setting up an appointment I get told they can fit me today at 2. At 12:30 I get a call saying the doctor leaves then so my appointment is canceled. They told me to call their sister location, didn't offer to fix their own mistake even. I called the other location and they say the next day available is next week. Ridiculous. And I've had to scramble around town midday for someone to fit me in literally last minute. Completely unprofessional

Staff was friendly and the dentist took the time to explain everything that I needed and showed me why it was needed without pressure. I will be returning indefinitely

The office staff was really friendly. The dentist was amazing. Got my wisdom teeth extracted with no insurance coverage. It's affordable and quick and easy.

Best dentist in Reno, staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and caring. I can smile again after one visit..and my mouth is healthy and strong again. After interviewing several dentists Western Dental was the most affordable, and dedicated to stabilizing my dental issues and pain immediately. I have never met such a committed dentist office...truly here to assist those with extreme dental issues without judgement.

My regular dentist was unable to see me on short notice. But since I was going out of town in less than a week and I woke up with a swollen face and a bad tooth ache, I started calling around for anyone to see me. I got to the office and they checked my insurance and said that I would have to have a full set of xrays before the Dentist would see me - for a bad tooth. I decided not to make a fuss. They were going to take away the pain. I could live with paying a little more for something that was unnecessary. The office assistants were nice, caring, gentle and seemed to care about my discomfort. The dentist sat down and didn't want to talk about my tooth ache, just about all the other "bad" work in my mouth that needed attention and how he would not do any work until I agreed to work up a plan for the entire mouth. I let them work up the plan for 8-9 crowns (no mention of the 4 little cavities I know I have) and the root canal on the bad tooth. I have heard all of this just recently with the exception of how several of the crowns just a couple years old were so horrible they would have to be replaced. I was in pain - just fix the tooth. The Dentist was able to do the root canal and "build-up" that day. Great. No more pain. But since I did schedule the full crown at that time, I am left with a sharp nub in my mouth until I get back from vacation and can get back in to my real dentist to finish the crown. On top of all of this, the Dentist was rude to his hygienist. He treated her like some little servant girl barking orders and being very impatient. Before I left I asked her if he was always that rude to her. She looked like she was going to choke and said, "not always". While I was sitting in the chair, waiting for the dentist to return from one of his many disappearing acts, I heard a small child cry out in pain. A few moments later, I heard the dentist say, "He screamed like I was hurting him." This man has the bed side manner of a tree stump, the compassion of a rock and is rude and crass to his workers.
I cannot tell you if the root canal was done well. However, I can tell you that it normally takes two sets of shots to get me numb, and this time it was one set and I felt nothing. I was told that I would be in pain for the day, but shouldn't be more than that. I was given a prescription for an antibiotic to make sure that the infection was gone and did not flare up - normal. (I have done this a few times!) I was also given a prescription for Vicodin. I figured a couple of days worth. . . . no, I got a MONTHS worth! Ok so even if he was being nice and giving me a few extra in case I had a flare up while on vacation, did he really need to give me that many? they are a controlled substance and would easily sell for $5 a pill from the things I have heard on drug use recently. Just a little overkill on this part.
I will not go back to this office. Perhaps other of the chains offices are better, I will never know. I will not be going to them. I do have a lot of work to do in my mouth. I know that. I told the young lady at the front desk that I was looking for a second opinion. You would have thought that this guy would have sucked up a little to get a new customer. Too bad he feels that he is too good to be nice to his patients and staff.
Good luck in your quest for a dentist.

Do not ever go here! Completely dishonest and shady! They treat you like it's a cell phone company and make you sign contracts that you will have certain procedures done. The procedures are completely over priced and they will never explain any of this to you. Oh and don't ever give them your credit card because they will use that to charge you with out your authorization and then say you signed a contract. My two payments turned into like 12 payments that i was never told about.

My wisdom teeth started killing me. Called and was able to get in the next day. Everyone there was great. Was in and out pretty quick. Had zero pain during my recovery phase. Would recommend this place!

I went in on an emergency basis with a severe infection and in lots of pain. Everyone was very understanding and helpful. The Dr. was the best Dentist I have ever seen. He was caring, kind, understanding, and empathetic. I was so releived at the way I was treated and how quickly they helped me that I was literally crying tears of gratitude and relief. The only sucky thing and this has nothing to do with the doctor or facility is that after having 6 teetg pulled, 2 root canals, and two crowns down as well as battling a severe infection that I have to wait for the antibiotics to clear, Is that the State does not allow them to prescribe anything heavier than Motrin for pain. So a few more days of pain but then I will be right as rain. I owe it all to the staff at this Western Dental!

Awful experience. Not only are the other reviews completely accurate in that they are uncaring, unfriendly, and unprofessional, but they argued with me that my insurance did not cover a simple cleaning on my daughter, after going around with them on it for an hour, I paid out and set forth to call my insurance. After confirming with my insurance, that YES, I was correct, and shouldn't have been charged, I sat on hold for over an hour trying to reach someone to correct it, ended up going back down to the office, waiting over an hour and a half for the half wit office staff to refund me. And only AFTER I got in their face of losing my patience and how disgraceful their practice was. Avoid this place like the plague! (and yes, I got my money back, as I'm not one to be trifled with)

Terrible. Saw Dr. Thomas. Asked for an alignment retainer, was charged $315 for a flimsy retainer that was not an alignment retainer. Showed up to my appt and they said the orthodontist couldn't make it. Had me come back a week later. Booked me for the wrong time. Ortho said it would be another bill entirely for an alignment retainer. They are scammers
