I have been a patient here for a few years. I am very disappointed in the service. For one it's like "cattle call" and the dental assistant had a rude demeanor and left a sore in my mouth because she couldn't place the X-ray card in the right place. She knew it was hurting me and told me to breathe through it but proceeded to take her time to take X-ray. Eventually calling in another assistant to do it because she couldn't. Then the prior fillings that I got less than a year ago started falling out within 6 months. I go back and my insurance only pays for those same fillings every 3 years . I know that the dentist knows how weak the material is and now I have to come out of pocket to refill these and do not have the means. I will NEVER NEVER go back to this office. Oh and I was left with an abrasion underneath my lower lip from either the cleaning tool or the evil dental assistant. Horrible experience and now I even question the cleanliness of the place.

I am still in shock. The dentist, Dr. Kim, pulled out a whole tooth instead of the remains of one that had broken off at the gum line. How could this happen? He had the x-rays to refer to, as well as his own claim that he could not make lower denture for me until the broken piece was extracted. And yet he left it in my gum and pulled out a tooth !!! My mouth was numb. I could not know he was doing it wrong. I was horrified to find out, later, what had happened. Now I'm just plain ANGRY !!!

This is the best dentist that I've gone to n I would recommend him to anyone. I usually hate going g to dentist cause I usually hurt more after n I don't c want to go back. Most dentist that I've gone to just want to pull your teeth. This dentist fix my teeth and told me what all he was doing and going to do. The receptionist to the ones in the back made me feel confitable and I didn't wait long to be seen so I didn't have time to think of leaving . Thank you family smiles you guys are the best wish I had found you guys sooner.👍👍👍👍

I have been very happy with all the work I’ve had done at Family Smiles. I was away from them for three years during which time I had to see a different dentist. I’m so glad to be back and with Family Smiles where I have received by far- the best dental care I have ever had. I strongly recommend Family Smiles at 5505 Central NE in Albuquerque.

I had such a great experience with them! My toddler and I both had appointments. They worked so patiently and kindly with my toddler. Then when I had to have x-rays of my teeth, Sadie from the front desk came and held him, as he couldn't be in the room with me. She was so sweet and talked with him and kept him calm the whole time. My son loved her. She then brought him some little toys to keep him occupied for the rest of the visit. Everyone wore masks, and the waiting area was made so patients could social distance. They do ask you to sign a waiver that you're okay with being seen during covid, but that's not really too big of a deal for me. We have come here a few times, now. And everytime has been quick and kind.

I called to ask if they took my insurance and was told they did. I gave all my information over the phone so they could confirm. Was scheduled for an appointment that fit around my work schedule. When I showed up I was informed I would have to wait in my car as they reach their max capacity (4), but was not given a time limit. They also need to confirm my insurance information before they saw me. Once again I have them my info. I was in my car filling out the forms when they called to tell me they could not reach my insurance to confirm my appointment. The receptionist talked in circles before I bluntly asked if I was going to be seen or not. She said no. So I left and contacted another dentist and was seen promptly and they had no problem contacting and confirming my insurance.

I had made an appointment with a different dentist office, and when I got there they had told me that they do not take Western Sky insurance. Made me upset!😵 because my daughter has been in pain🤢😖 for a couple days she had an abscess on her gum😢. They didn't know where else took the insurance and told me to call and change her insurance back🤔😠.So I went and looked up on the internet to see how took are family insurance. I was please that Family Smiles on Central and San Mateo 5550 Central. Got my 10 yr old daughter in immediately!!! This was a first-time my 10 yr daughter had went to this dentist at Family Smiles, There stuff very outgoing nice gentle. The thing I loved the most was the stuff were all team player, it was a very happy positive, clean
environment. All the stuff members where happy and answered all and any questions we had with out getting bugged, or have a attitude,( like most place do) get you in and out fast. they comforted my daughter she had two cavities and one tooth pulled out.😲 and they made her as comfortable as they could😎. After seen this me and my husband changed over and have an appointment. I thing that caught my eye, they have new and improve Bridges that are not metal in your mouth. Good places. Thank you so much.

I have been going here for years and it gets worse every time. They always have new people, new dentists, equipment is old, and they make you wait super long because they have one dentist. The front desk is also not professional. My last visit they made me wait an hour and the place was close to closing and they never told me. I left because I was not going to be at the dentist for 2 hours. Go to another place! I just went to Dental Wellness I was attended right away and got out in 30 minutes. The equipment was new and ALL of the workers were professional and nice. I give it 2 stars because they are good at reminding you of your next appointment.
