Angie was my hygienist today for my cleaning and she was so nice, professional, and knowledgeable. From when I first walked in the door, the front staff knew me by name (probably because I was next in line for my appointment lol!) and I was called back very quickly. My friend recommended me this office and I could not be happier with their level of service. Something unrelated that I noticed are the propagating succulent leaves! I would suggest just to have them laid out flat (not stuck in the ground like they are unless they already grew roots this way, then leave them be) and not to give them any water until you see roots and new leaves. Even then, to only water the roots and ONLY when the soil is completely dry. The mama leaf will eventually shrivel up and you’ll have a new plant! This can take weeks and/or months so have patience. Happy propagating! ;)

Dr. Aguirre, Is the most caring and compassionate person! I was in pain and was able to go back to the office on a Saturday (Thank you, Lisa!!!! at the front) saw another doctor. However, Dr. Aguirre called several times to check on me. She also called me the next day (from her personal phone) to see how I was feeling and told me that I could call her anytime on her personal phone, if I could not reach her at the office. Her personal call made me feel even better!

The young ladies at the front desk are wonderful as well as her hygienist!

Everyone makes you feel comfortable and all my questions are answered with confidence!

My daughter and I love this place and has told many of our family and friends.

I've been attending this practice for roughly 2 years and have had the upmost confidence in Dr. Alexander and his hygienist staff as they are very polite and professional practitioners. However, the administration staff has tested my patience and confidence, as I will no longer continue using this practice. I scheduled a routine cleaning months ago and advised them that I had switched employers and that my dental insurance is now with Metlife . I provided them with my information regarding my identity and they proceeded to bill the wrong insurance carrier. After receiving a billing statement in the mail from UDA's office, I contacted the office and attempted to have this matter corrected. They did politely apologize for their mistake and assured me that it was a discrepancy on their end and they would have this matter resolved. One month later, I received a second billing statement. I then contacted the front office staff and spoke with Caitlin and expressed my concern and that the issue had not been corrected and that my credit score could be at risk. She then apologized, again, and assured me that this discrepancy would be corrected that very same day.-She also stated that she would contact me if there were any concerning matters regarding my new insurance carrier (which she never did). Three days later, I received a cautionary letter in the mail stating that I had a delinquent balance. At that point, my frustration with this office had become unforgiving. When I spoke to the administrators on 12/30/2019, they assured me that everything would be quickly handled but I've lost all confidence in this practice. As a clinical physiologist working in healthcare, I can strongly attest that patients having to get involved with staff discrepancies due to a lack of communication and competence is absolutely unacceptable!

I've been going to Chris for a number of years and she is awesome, professional, and wants the best outcome for you. So she's caring as well. I'm very comfortable with her and know that she's competent, knowledgeable, flexible and has a strong work ethic. I appreciate all she does in my care.

Angie, my hygienist, was AMAZING! She made me feel comfortable from the very start. I went in for a deep cleaning, Angie told me it would take up to 50 minutes.. but it felt like only 15 minutes! Time went by fast because she made it fun! We were laughing and joking in between the breaks that I had.. She did a great job too, my teeth felt so clean afterwards! After she finished, she took her time to look on her calendar while I was there, and she fit me right in for the next appointment. That made me felt very important. I can’t wait for my next visit! Best Dentist Office ever. Thanks again Angie!

What a disgrace this business is. They declined me cleaning due to I refused to get the un necessary X-rays done. They try to rip you off by doing absolutely un-necessary X-rays every year. If there is an issue I would understand but i told them I dont have anything going on and just need a regular cleaning.

So far, my experiences with the University dental associate was excellent. Dr. Alexander paul and his assistant Donna were helpful and friendly. However, I did not like dental hygienist services. She came and started pocking my gum without my consent or any explanation of her procedure. I will request a different hygienist for my next cleaning appt.

I had a 9:20 AM appointment for cleaning and was out by 9:45 AM. The hygienist was prompt and very efficient. She did a great job. I have never cared much for visiting the dentist office, but they do make it a pleasant experience.

My parents and I have been going to University Dental in Charlotte for well over 5+ years, I had never experienced any issues with them until just recently, which caused a disgruntling experience and this less than stellar review.

I recently moved to Nashville TN however am in the process of completing a permanent for a root canal I had through university earlier this year. Although it was extremely difficult to get the time off, I was cleared for a day off to fly back to Charlotte and complete this dental appointment.

After the purchase of a $250 dollar plane ticket I landed back in Charlotte last night only to find a voicemail on my phone from yesterday at 2:55 P.M. stating that I needed to call them back to reschedule. They didn’t say why I needed to reschedule in the voicemail.

This appointment was scheduled for today 9/25 at 8:30 A.M. , so I made a call to University and spoke with a woman who stated my appointment was actually on 9/24 and that I missed my scheduled appointment, pushing the blame onto me. After pulling up my google calendar I confirmed with the lady that it was in fact scheduled for today 9/25 to which she replied sorry they had entered the wrong dates in their notes. She then confirmed that they did need to reschedule my appointment due to scheduling conflict on their end and proposed I reschedule for early next month.

This wouldn’t be as big of a deal if I hadn’t just purchased a plane ticket and taken my own pto from work to make sure I’m at this dental appointment.

University Dental has a 24 hour cancellation for their customers, yet they were not able to follow their own rule or provide me with the same respect.

Aside from this incident I’ve never had any problems with this dentist office and I understand things happen, however his came off as extremely unprofessional and really put me in a bad spot as I now have to figure out a way to get back to Charlotte in a few weeks to reattempt finishing this permanent.
