This place is awesome. Unfortunately for me tooth pain does not follow common dentist office hours. While searching for a way to deal with the pain I found this place and it was open on sunday. Since I had been awake in pain since 4am I gave them a call as soon as they openned. Since I didn't have a pre-schedule appointment I didn't except much. But I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to get an appointment with in the hour. Had to travel from Irving but it was worth the drive. Once there I didn't have to wait long. The doctor and the staff where super awesome. They told be what caused the issue (leaky fillings (from a different dentist) and fixed it and had me on my way with in 90 mins. I highly recommend them. I wish they where closers to me.

I had a fantastic experience for my first time at NTDC. I have never been so happy with any other dentist as I am with this dentist. Very very gentle dentist. Every time I so much as flinched, he gave me more novacain. I had 3 root canals and a filling done in less than 3 hours! And, I was so scared from everyone saying how bad root canals are, how painful.. I have had no pain since the procedure! And the temporary crown looks GREAT! I am so happy and will refer anyone to this office in the future! Thank you so much NTDC!

North Tarrant Dental Care has been my dental provider since they opened up in NoFo. Dr. J always does an amazing job with my fillings. Though I'm not a fan of fillings, it's always great to shoot the breeze with him before the drilling commences. The rest of the staff are great, too and are very welcoming. Also, you should look into their TDR Membership. My previous employer's dental plan was actually pricier than going through North Tarrant's plan. Keep up the great work guys!

I have always hated going to the Dentist. Even though every other Dentist office that I have gone to has been an okay experience. My last Dentist retired and closed his office, so I needed to find another Dentist office. I am so so happy with North Tarrant Dental Care. Truthfully, it is outstanding! From the moment you are greeted when you enter the office until you leave. The staff is friendly and professional and they make you feel welcome. Dr. Catherine Whinery is probably one of the best Dentist's I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She makes you feel comfortable even when whatever procedure that has to be done is a little scary. (I don't do pain very well!) I recommend North Tarrant Dental Care and Dr. Whinery wholeheartedly and think that if you do go there, you too will be pleasantly surprised! Great job you guys! Clean facility, excellent faculty, and no nonsense approach to treatment/pricing. They outline everything that should/needs to be done alongside recommended courses of action to keep you from later, more expensive, visits. Great place overall and no bad experiences as far as that goes with being at a dentist office šŸ˜‰.

I have been calling for 2 weeks for an appointment bc we have a family plan with them that is about to expire. I wanted to get us all in for a cleaning and no one will call me back. Then earlier this week I left a message in regards to my daughter and the space maintainer installed by this office that is hurting her. I got a return call for that, but not my original request for cleanings. Today I called and spoke with Erick or Derek and as I was explaining to him that after two weeks of no call backs; I finally catch someone. I explain about me trying to make an appointment for our family and that they have the worst call back. This is not the first time I have had some time getting them to call me back. The last time I was in they couldn't even find an over $400 payment receipt that I paid for services trying to charge me again. They literally wouldn't even start on her even though I showed them the receipt. Someone on their office staff had not applied the money from Care Credit. I had to log into my account to show them I'd paid it. So I tell him my daughter had a space maintainer and one of the brackets is hurting her gums. He A)Couldn't help me bc I don't think he knew what to do. B) Some lady named Tara was talking over him and he was trying to address me, but couldn't hear us both. Being that I am a client on the line speaking with someone who is charged with answering the call you would think to let the people with phones to their ears do the talking right?? I tell him I would like to get her in bc she's hurting. He offers for tomorrow, but I am unable to do that bc I work. I request a Saturday and I hear Tara rudely say, "Well, they can look, but she ain't getting work done!!" I was a bit in shock, because I felt like...I am sorry for asking you do your job. My 10 year old daughter has swelling in her gums that is causing her pain and that is your response?? I could hear more mumbling from her bc I guess she realized I could hear her after questioning why she just said that. Then I hear Tara say something about "Is she..." It was hard to hear her as she trailed off, but the tone she was using wasn't friendly or trying to be helpful. Her tone sounded rude so I asked if Dr. Whinery could please just call me back. She calls me a few minutes later and I miss it bc I am on the line for work. I hung up my line just as she was hanging up her and I called her right back. Derek or Erick answers and I am back to square one. At this point I am perturbed at the fact that all I needed was an appointment for the $60 a month I am paying that I have been unable to get an appointment on and they don't seem to care and for my daughter to be out of pain. I requested to speak to Dr. Whinery and he says she's occupied with a patient literally less than a min after hanging up. I request they just give me the number to corporate to address my complaint & Derek/Erick says he can't. I have to speak to Liana. I ask if she owns it and he just says she's who I have to deal with. I asked him if she owned the facility and he just kept repeating she is the one I have to deal with so I finally just hung up. Round and ROund...I spent over $600 on dental work with a doctor who told me to call anytime if something happened to her space maintainer and they would help. I found the front office staff anything , but helpful. It is unprofessional to stick your voice in a conversation that you are not actively a part of and to sit there and talk about me to the guy on the line is absolutely not okay. I don't appreciate it.

Best dentist in all of dfw! They have the nicest staff and are always so helpful. They are very transparent with their procedures and pricing and will not do the work without you knowing how much everything is. 100% recommend.

I love Dr. J. The best dentist I've ever had. The hygienist is awesome too. The staff is very professional. The offices are clean. The really care about their patients well-being.

North Tarrant Dental is the best dental office in the DFW metroplex. All of the doctors and staff are the most friendly and professional. They make you feel valued and comfortable. The doctors explain everything before and during the visit. They use state of the art technology (Dentrix Management Practice software, digital X-rays and intraoral cameras... I wrote some of the original software as a software developer so I know it is good. LOL).

I usually get anxiety when I visit the dentist and especially during an invasive procedure like a root canal because of bad and painful experiences in the past; but I have had two root canals performed by different dentists at North Tarrant Dental and they make sure you are very comfortable and relatively painless.

They have great bedside manner and walk you through the process explaining everything along the way. If you do feel any discomfort, they stop and numb you up more if needed. They also offer nitrox gas as an inexpensive option which helps you relax.

They have extended evening hours (until 7 pm) and are also open on Saturday which make it easier for those who can't be seen during normal 9-5 business hours. They make sure you can be seen the same day for emergencies as well.

I highly recommended North Tarrant Dental Care and Orthodontics for you Dental needs.

This place has such fantastic reviews from so many people so that is why I chose to come here. I havenā€™t been to the dentist in about 5 years. So I was looking forward to my visit based on how highly recommended it came. Unfortunately my experience was not good. Itā€™s the worst dental experience Iā€™ve ever had. First, I was a new patient and the receptionists were every friendly and welcoming. After that not a single person that worked with me introduced themselves to me. No ā€œHi Bonnie Iā€™m so and so and Iā€™ll be taking your X-rays and photos. No Hi Bonnie Iā€™m so and so and Iā€™ll be your hygentist. No ā€œHi Bonnie Iā€™m Dentist so and so. I was surprised when I wasnā€™t given anything to wear over my eyes or cover my face with. I got all kinds of nasty stuff from my mouth and the equipment sprayed all over my face. At one point so much water and spit had built up in my mouth it began to run out of the corner like a tiny river. It flowed all the way to my ear and down my neck where it pooled at my hair. I felt disgusting. The dental hygentist while polite was extremely rough with my cleaning. I understand she was just trying to do her job and I had some build up since I had not been to the dentist in years. But I made several noises and scrunched up my face in an attempt to let her know she was hurting me. Finally I had to sit up and push her hands out of my mouth and say to her ā€œyouā€™re really hurting me.ā€ She was extremely apologetic and seemed genuinely upset that she had caused me so much pain. She was better for the rest of the cleaning which thankfully didnā€™t last much longer. This was also the first time I had ever had a cleaning done with the Cavitron instrument. I had only had sand blasting type cleanings before. The cavitron was awful from the noise to the sensation on your gums and teeth. It couldnā€™t be over soon enough. And I have an extremely high tolerance for pain. So if I have to speak up and say something then thereā€™s a problem. The hygentist attempted to schedule my next cleaning appointment prior to the dentist seeing me. I explained that I didnā€™t think that Iā€™d be back as I didnā€™t think this place was a good fit for me. She left to go to the dentist who when she came in also did not introduce herself. She did have a cheerful demeanor and attempted to strike up some small talk. However during the exam I felt like she just wanted to get in and out because sheā€™d likely already been told I was unhappy and said I wouldnā€™t be returning. They did recommend I get some minor dental work done but Iā€™ll have to try to find somewhere else to go. Very disappointed that my experience was so much different than most everyone else.
