Atascocita Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics

This is the best dental office in Houston by far. The front office is friendly, the doctors are kind and Ana, the dental assistant I had, was helpful and knowledgeable.

I had my first visit today and found it very educational and informative. I got to see my teeth up close with the xray technology at the office and Dr Parkening was very friendly and took the time to explain the procedures that needed to performed to keep my teeth and mouth healthy. I did not feel rushed like in some other doctors offices. His staff were all friendly and courteous and provided me with execeptional care. I highly recommended his practice to those who are leary of dentists 😊.

Ortho Dr and staff are by far the best experience we’ve ever had. Tried many dentist in the Humble/Atascocita area but none like the care and attention of Modern Dentistry!

The whole team was AMAZING with my 9 year old son who was extremely stressed and scared to go to the dentist because of previous experience at a different dentist. They took their time and reassured him throughout all of the procedures. Will recommend to all family and friends.

The dentist was great to work with until new guy shows up and wants to change it all up . Went in for extract , changed it to a deep cleaning first and added extra 600 dollars to bill when I got the quote over phone price had doubled from originally gave me . Wanted to charge same price to do a implant to do a crown 2400 each . They still owe me money cause I payed in advance thinking I was having the extraction but wanted me to do the deep cleaning first so I still short almost 300 dollars manger never calls back . Think I just report them to insurance fraud for there charges

The actual dental process was perfect. That is the ONLY reason for two stars instead of one. My son's dentist and oral surgeon were compassionate, professional, and his procedures were completed with very little pain or discomfort. However, the entire rest of the experience has been an *absolute* nightmare.

My ex-husband has an account with the office for his family. My son is covered under my ex's insurance. When we initially scheduled the appointment, the front desk person was unable to comply with OR understand that even though the insurance information is the same and through them (my ex and his wife) I am the custodial parent and need to be the primary listed on my son's account. I repeatedly asked them to NOT set it up under my ex. They did exactly what I asked them not to do, and then assured me that they could correct it in office when we came in. Upon arriving for his appointment, I was told they were unable to remove him from my ex's account, and instead, they created a 2nd account for my son with our information. This did nothing but create even more confusion, and thus far, they have been unable to keep the accounts straight, and are unable to remove or alter the unneeded account to reflect that it is not the correct account - because THAT is the account they used to file the insurance.

I paid for his procedures in full over 2 visits; and was assured that it was indeed paid in full - however they have yet (nearly 3 weeks later now) to comply with my request for an actual receipt showing paid in full. They also (last week) direct debited me an additional $360 - OVER the already paid in full balance - which took 5 full business days to return to my checking account. AND, they sent a bill to my ex-husband for over $1k - which is more than the original pricing I agreed to and signed a contract for.

Love going to this dental office in Atascocita. It is always so clean and runs efficiently. Dr. Chahal and her assistant Ana are always so warm and friendly.

I have excellent credit because I believe in paying my debt on time and in full. If I as a consumer decided to do business with a company, I have a natural feeling to want to do everything in my power to take care of those that take care of me. Once we "shake" hands to do business, and everything is paid in full, you do not get to attempt to try a back ally money grab by sending a fake account to a debt collector to retrieve the money I do not owe. The excuses of COVID restrictions are bs, and 3rd party billing are, guess what, bs. Frankly, if local companies do not "wake up" they will be out of business. I speak with a manager that points fingers at everyone else and takes no blame for their actions.This experience caused me to never come back, and I recommend everyone to look at other local companies before doing any business here.

Waited for an hour and a half after I was supposed to be there. Got four teeth extracted, and left with a mouth FULL of blood. I had to spit a large portion of it out in the parking lot. I've had a couple teeth extracted before, that's not normal. THEN to top everything off, the doctor FORGOT to write me a prescription for the pain. He made sure to write the other medication down, but not the pain medicine? Amateurs with new age equipment is all this place is. I can't speak for the children's department, but steer clear from any kind of procedure from this place. Your mouth and wallet will thank you.

I really had an amazing experience. This team really cares about their patients. I was refered to come here by my daughter and so glade I did.
