I am currently a new Employee at Sweet Family Dentistry and today i had my check up and cleaning performed by Dr. Chan!
He thoroughly scanned through my X-rays that the excellent Assistant Miriam took on me, and saw that i had a precious filling from another office with a cavity trapped underneath it!!!😵 i was presented the treatment plan and we decided to re do that filling today... which means i knew i was getting a shot today☹️
Dr. Chan proceeded to get me NUMB, and i have to say (even though i’m biased) that he is seriously the best Dr. that i have ever had that has given me an injection. there was no pain WHAT SO EVER!! i didn’t even know that he was giving me a shot!!
Best Dental experience that i’ve ever had!!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! The staff is friendly, warm, and welcoming... You know you have found a good Dentist family when you can exchange Netflix shows... I was extremely apprehensive about going to the dentist, due to previous experience(s); however, Dr. Chan is the antithesis of dentist that want to do as much work as possible, just because... I am extremely happy that I found this "GEM" in Rowlett!

Ok...I'll be honest here. My father was a dentist for 50 years. I grew up (literally!) in the back of a dental office. I myself was a dental assistant for over a decade. Dentists? I'm picky about.
Seeing this is a new practice and close to me- I decided to give them a try. Boy am I glad I did! Dr. Chan is an amazing dentist. Lots of practices perform what they call a "comprehensive oral exam" on your first visit- but usually it's not much more than some x-rays and a quick lookover. Dr. Chan really DOES do a thorough exam with complete charting- it isn't quick or rushed. You would be amazed at the time and care he takes to not only examine the patient- but get to know them as well. This extends to his staff too, who are warm and friendly and a real pleasure to deal with. The entire office has a very inviting atmosphere and makes the patient feel like family.
I had been having gingival issues (lots of bleeding and some soreness) for several years, despite going for my regular checkups and cleanings to other places. Dr. Chan did my cleaning and was just as thorough as he was during my exam. Here I am a few days after the procedure and guess what? For the first time in probably seven years -I brushed my teeth tonight and not even the tiniest of blood in the sink. My mouth feels GREAT and my gingival tissue looks so much healthier. I can't believe how quickly his care yielded such optimal results. :) He was also very good at explaining every step of his procedures with his patients- not only orally but with visual representation. The office is new, clean, and very comfortable.
I would highly recommend this practice and am very grateful to have discovered them. If you aren't looking for a practitioner who listens to your concerns and provides superior care- this is the office for you.

Excellent experience! Great customer service! I came in for a cleaning and to have some sensitivity looked at. I have anxiety, so the sound of the machines triggered an attack. Dr. Chan offered to allow me to blast music through my headphones. He even used hand signals to tell me what was going on.

This was the best experience. They are super friendly and followed up the next day to see how I was doing. I fell asleep during a filling replacement. I would recommend to everyone. They have hands on customer service and great quality work. I have already told everyone I can about this place. They have Netflix too. 😊

We love Dr. Yip & Dr. Chan they are both very down to earth. Dr. Yip has always taken great care of my husband and my children. Very little dentist are out there that do actually care for their patients, Dr. Yip and Dr. Chan are one of them.
