After relocating from Michigan to Tyler TX, and leaving my old dentist of more than 30 years, it's fair to say I was a little apprehensive. Smith Dental was so welcoming and truly focused on patient comfort and made me very at ease. Casey is a kind great hygienist and Dr Douglas is really smart, easy to talk to and just overall friendly. I feel I can trust them 100 percent and they truly care about what they all do for all the right reasons. I am happy I found them. The entire staff from start to finish are great people. Nice waiting room, clean and cheery. The front desk person was friendly and professional. Great smiles everywhere. A playroom for kids. Comfortable chairs.
I was called back quickly. They didn’t walk so quickly that I couldn’t keep up. Again very friendly and professional and personable. They really listened to what I wanted. Very good communication skills! The dentist looked me in the eye. She listened, she explained the problems I was facing with solutions. I felt comfortable and not ashamed of my how bad my teeth had gotten.
The treatment plan was explained. Different options were given. Also different payment plans were discussed.
I left with a copy of my options and phone numbers of people who could answer any questions later if needed. Everyone was friendly. I felt comfortable that they could help me.

No better place to receive treatment for teeth.The people, staff, and dental personnel are top notch-professional. The environment is clean. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. It is as close to stress free as possible. Before I went to Smith Dental Care, I viewed dental offices as necessary torture chambers. I would give them more stars but 5 is the max. If you need dental work or care, you need SDC. It is like a "spa" for your teeth and gums!

This is the best dental experience I've had in my life! I had a root canal done, I live in Ohio and am here for work, this place was recommended to me. The receptionists were nice and friendly, the dentist is the Bomb.com!! No pain, from beginning to end! Thanks Smith Dental!! I will never forget yall!!!!!

Smith Dental was able to get us in quite quickly after we had complications with another dentist. They evaluated my son and recommended a specialist. It was a good thing they did as the specialist found some things that needed to be taken care of immediately. They explained everything so that both me and my 15 year old son could understand. We will be going to Smith from now on.

I received the best of care, very professional, and informative about what to do next. So disappointed Smith Dental is not "in network" with United Health Care. Should Be!

I had been having tooth pain for a couple of days and it all came to a head today, Friday.. I called several dental offices early morning trying to find anyone to help me or have mercy on me, all said Monday morning was the soonest. Then I remembered my son had been to Smith dental before and liked it, so I crossed my fingers and called. They were so polite and gracious on the phone, they moved times around and got me in that day. What a blessing! Turns out I have an abscess and absolutely needed antibiotics. Dr. Douglas was friendly and informative, and got me headed in the right direction to healing. Thankful to have found Smith Dental!
