The Dental Hygienist& the Dentist were nice. I was overcharged for my visit. When I go to checkout I am charged a ridiculous about as much as I pay for a copay for an MRI. I then ask why I was being charged so much for a routine cleaning with no x-rays? I am told yeah something looks funny with your insurance. No one in the office from billing looked into this matter while I was there in the office. My debit card was just swiped.I was told billing would get back with me. If you review the system and see that something looks “funny” why would you not look into the matter instead of just charging the customer the wrong amount.I then go to my car and call to verify with Blue Cross & Blue Shield(Federal)what’s covered on my plan. The representative from Blue Cross Blue Shield then calls the office and confirms the name of the Dentist that I saw while I was on hold on the other line. I was then told by the representative that my copay should have been $30.00 and that the office and the Dentist were both in network. Now remind you I just paid $ 30.00 in January for the same service. I am sure I want hear back until the claim is submitted to the insurance company. I will be moving on to the next Dentist and not recommending anyone I know to this one.

Had my 6 months cleaning today. The place just had a make over and looks spotless. Front office checked me in promptly and I was in the chair in 5 minutes. Joan is the best !! She is professional and very thorough (even updated the "google map" of my mouth). I was in and out in an hour, painlessly and happily.

I recently had extensive dental work done by Dr. Dixon at Commonwealth Dentistry. This work included multiple trips and many hours each time in the dental chair.
From the kind, always willing to help front-end staff to the many experience dental assistants, I was always treated in a professional and timely manner.
The type of work I had done requires much stress on teeth and gums with lots of Novocaine. Not one time did I feel pain even from the shots.
After multiple visits I am extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship and the care extended for their patients.

From check in to check out everything wen smooth. I was especially satisfied by the clockwork of the staff while I was in the chair. Dr. Dixon was available almost immediately, and Megan expediently took Xray's with the new Xray technology. Erica handled the cleaning with concern about my gum line, and recommended a plan to get my issues under control.
Overall I was completely satisfied with my visit.

I love commonwealth! The ladies in the front and back are so sweet! Morgan, my dental hygienist, is super nice, always asks how my family is doing, and is so good at her job! Dr. Meadows is always friendly and easy to talk to. Would recommend the Colonial Heights office to everyone!
