Called as a new patient with an emergency, they got me in within 30 minutes and after determining what was wrong and what the options were, they were able to take care of it right then and there without having to make another appt! Honestly speaking, of all the dentist experiences I have had over the last 35 years, this was by far the best. While I cannot speak on all the dentists in the practice, I can speak to Dr. Mark Deifenderfer who was the dentist I saw. He is beyond skilled, and my mom who was with me (a former dental assistant and dental hygienist in Northern Virginia for 15 years) would know. She commented on how thorough Dr. Deifenderfer was. The support staff including the assistant and front desk is friendly and calm which makes the environment extremely comforting for those like me who get incredibly nervous at the dentist. Face it, no one likes the dentist, but if you have to go get something done, this is your place!

Never had a chance to meet any of the wonderful Dentist, I was told about because life happens. Apparently the front desk staff does not understand that. I am very aware of your and many other medical offices cancellation policies. But that was not the problem here. This practice receptionist lack customer service skills, Although her voice was sweet as pie, she was a robot, repeating the cancellation policy and scolding me for not calling within 24 hours, even though I offered a solution so they would not loose the appointment. There is more to this review, but I will end it here. My reason for cancelling was stressful enough, they made it worst. I or anyone I know will not have VA FAMILY DENTISTRY as their dentist.

I had a periodontal procedure with Dr. Voth and it went so smoothly. Dr. Voth explained the options clearly and thoroughly; I was also told upfront what the procedure would cost me after insurance. After the consultation, communication was excellent. I was seen promptly when I arrived. The procedure was virtually painless and they explained what to expect for the next day or two. I can't find fault with any aspect.
