This dental office is one of a kind! They were the first in my search that said they accepted the insurance I currently have for my five children, accepted appointments for all of them in one visit, and were open on Saturdays! Once we arrived, it was a great transition as I was able to complete most of the paperwork ahead of the appointments (on their website). Once my family arrived, the only things I had to do were to sign a couple required digital signatures (per child) and let them see my DL and insurance cards. My children and my husband agree that the team were welcoming, friendly, accommodating, and professional. How can a dental office feel any more like home? Well, in the restroom they provide a way for you to brush and gargle before you are seen. If you like to watch TV, they let you have the remote while waiting in the lobby (and the wait was reasonable - not too short or too long). The kids liked that! In addition, they had a TV in their patient room. The only thing my teenagers seemed to complain about ... (my son was indifferent, but ...) my daughter wished there was a sample of mouthwash in her take home care bag. I must say, the bags seemed to have thoughtful selections for toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss! I had one child need a referral and scheduling that appointment was not a burden either. This same child happens to be my youngest and he claimed that his cleaning felt nice! Glenside Dental did not disappoint as I did not feel I was settling for less with stopping my search after finding them! I look forward to our next scheduled visit!

I went on a Saturday for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction and this office took such great care of me !! Even when I cried like a baby while he was injecting my mouth with numbing stuff. They were very patient and kind , took their time to make sure I wasn’t in any pain , and provided clear instructions on what my steps were at home to care for my mouth! I would definitely recommend !!!

They get you in quickly which is nice, so that’s where the two stars come in.
HOWEVER, I went to a dental surgeon this past week who showed evidence on just how bad Dr. Shan here messed up. I was a loyal patient to Dr. Shan until recently.
My cavities weren’t filled in appropriately (X-rays prove this- there are holes beneath the surface to where I have to get them refilled), the fillings were either not shaved down appropriately or they were overfilled. One was overfilled so bad that it cracked and the new dental surgeon explained that it looked as though they were just trying to get a job done and move on essentially. Which is the exact feeling I get from this clinic.
Honestly I am disappointed that I now have to spend thousands to get my mouth to where it should have been when I first came to Glenside dental. If you can, I’d go elsewhere.

I was not happy with the services. My husband was charged a $60.00 copay for a yearly exam that is free! All they did was an X-ray and exam his mouth. The receptionist told him that if they over charged him, it will be credited to his account. We were told that we had to fill paperwork out in the car and stay in the vehicle, during my husband’s exam. I took my child to the restroom and seen other patients and people that was not being treated sitting in the waiting area. When my husband was checking out he asked to use the restroom and the male dentist told him it was not open to the public, even though my husband was a patient... me and my child had just used the restroom right because he came out. I feel like we (my husband more so) were definitely stereotyped and treated different because of our color. Definitely don’t recommend this dental office!

The staff here was really nice and everything was clean. However, I wasn't happy with the quality of my filling or how I was treated by Dr. Shan. I would not recommend this dentist for adults with anxiety about dental treatment because I felt that I was treated very condescendingly. Additionally, I felt that she was a bit pushy about braces even though I told her that I could not afford them. As for the filling on my molar, one of the points was ground down on the opposite side of my tooth. I can't recommend this office at all.

Staff was friendly and helpful if things needed to be explained. Happy to say they are still taking covid seriously! <3 <3 <3 TVs are in the rooms with the chairs and that's weird, but not bad.
