Super convenient location for those of us living & working downtown. The dentist office has always been my least favorite place to go, but, the caring, professional staff here makes it a pleasant experience. I appreciate the reminder emails/texts and the fact that patients are seen promptly.

Recently received a letter essentially stating that the dentist is breaking up with me as I missed too many appointments.
Firstly the first appointment was canceled due to the person that had my new phone number canceled it via text message when the reminder was sent. Second the dentist was trying to charge me $750 for a scan that my orthodontist was able to provide you with already.
Lastly the final straw was an appointment booked on the 9th at 830 but it was then communicated that it was for the 19th, even though I had been there on the 9th the office was not open. I then got a text to confirm the appointment for the 19th at 830 i did not respond, they then shifted it to 9 am and are now trying to bill me for the appointment i did not attend even thought they stipulated thst they were going to cancel it!.
Unfortunately i am unable to post screen shots of the text that i have with thr two different times. You have full permission to make it public as if i was wrong i have no problem admitting i was incorrect. Also i have never received an email from your office.

As a new patient, they made me feel very comfortable. Front desk were friendly and courteous while Kayla did a very thorough cleaning. I found my permanent home for dental visits!

Shockoe Dentistry is a truly great dental practice! For a downtown location, parking is surprisingly easy, and it's super convenient from the interstate. The staff is incredibly friendly and super easy to work with - because I also work in an appointment-based industry, scheduling appointments for myself can be challenging. Shockoe Dentistry was very patient with me in finding a date and time that works and even offered to send me a reminder to schedule in 6 months instead of scheduling it now then having to change it later. Dr. Lipscomb and all of his hygientists are very gentle and make dental work as quick and painless as possible (I am an admitted hater of dental work). For my recent appointment many of their clients were running late due to icy conditions, but they worked diligently to make sure they got me out of there at my promised time so that I was not late for MY appointments. All in all it is truly a phenomenal dental practice!

Dr. Lipscomb and his staff are truly amazing. Everyone is so kind and they all seem to enjoy what they do. Dr Lipscomb is extremely patient, gentle, kind and most of all, his dental work is top notch. He has a great sense of humor and really puts you at ease when you are in the dental chair. My daughter just had her first filling done and was amazed that she "never even felt the needle!" It's refreshing to really be able to trust your Dr. and relax knowing you are in excellent hands. This practice offers everything you could ever want and more!! I would recommend him to any and everyone!

Dr. Lipscomb has a 5 star rating for a reason....and the reason is that he is best around. He is excellent at fillings and is very concerned about the patients comfort. He is extremely gentle and careful with the drill. Furthermore, his pricing is fair and honest.
