This is an excellent dental practice. Kayla the hygienist was incredibly friendly and provided very thorough, gentle care,. She explained what she was doing at every moment. I was so impressed with how careful she was in everything she did.
Dr. Viccelli provided me with a few options to consider in my ongoing care of existing conditions. I didn’t feel like add-on, out of pocket services were pushed on me at all. Their concern was for my oral care and what was best. I highly recommend Shockoe Dental.

As one who hated going to the dentist, Dr. Lipscomb and his incredible staff was/is able to set me at ease and take great care during my examinations, repairs and Xrays. The staff is friendly and willing to meet my needs when an issue arise. Can't say I enjoy going to the dentist, but this dentist is easily rated as my favorite.

Upon going in I felt confused due to the location on the lower floor but when arriving I was welcomed and really was treated respectfully and given all appropriate information! I have a process to go with my dental care and this Is definitely the place and home for me to continue my dental needs!!!

I am an adult with pretty bad dental anxiety which had kept me away from the dentist for ~7 years. While I wouldn’t say the doctors and staff at Shockoe Dentistry have completely cured that, they definitely have gotten me comfortable with seeing a dentist again. I’ve had to have a lot of work done due to my neglect and everyone has been very patient and gentle and understanding. Can not recommend enough, especially if you work at or around VCU since it’s a quick walk or bus ride down Main St.

I went to Shockoe Dentistry in order to get my bi-annual teeth cleaning done and simply put, my experience was perfect. The receptionist was very friendly to me as soon as I walked in and was very helpful explaining all the forms I had to fill out. Kathy, my Dental Hygienist did a very through job cleaning my teeth and answered all of the questions I had about keeping them in better shape. Dr. Lipscomb was just as friendly. Go to Shockoe Dentistry!!!!!!!!

I love the dentists and staff at this office. I just needed a permanent filling put in, and Dr. Vellucci was able to get it done quickly and painlessly. I've been terrified of the dentist since I was a kid, which has caused me to put off going to the dentist for 5 years. I was SO nervous to go to the dentist because it had been so long, but I needed to because of a possible infection. I am so happy I found Shockoe Dentistry. The staff was amazing. I told them how nervous/scared I was, and they were so friendly and comforting. They were able to schedule me for an emergency exam/x-rays in less than 2 days, and then Dr. Lipscomb was able to pull my tooth immediately that day while I was in the office. It was a great experience, and I am so relieved I went in. If you're nervous and putting off going to the dentist because it's been too long or you're just scared in general, schedule an appointment at Shockoe Dentistry. You'll feel so much better!

Very friendly and courteous staff was on time for my appointment did not have to wait and very concerned about my well being. Going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do but my experience with this group has always been pleasant. The office is very convenient to my job I can walk to the dentist!!!
