Had a wonderful experience. My dental hygienist, Shawny was so nice and accommodating. I enjoyed her company and she made the visit so much less stressful, as I sometimes have dental anxiety.
She was so great I can’t even remember the doctor’s name lol! He was very nice as well and did great work. I will be coming back and bringing my family here as well.

The staff at Mint Dental are super friendly and very helpful. The variety of available appointments suits my busy schedule. Having Saturday appointments is a plus for me. There are many different dentists with talented hands and a light touch. My overall experience has been positive since I first started coming to Mint Dental in 2012.

I had my first appointment with Mint Dental last week, and I am so glad that I made the journey from Wasilla to have my teeth cleaned here. The office is absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere is comfortable. My hygienist was Terra and she was wonderful and very thorough! She made sure I was relaxed the whole time and did a great job explaining what she was doing and why, and gave me lots of tips on maintaining a healthy mouth! I wouldn't hesitate to go see her again! Thanks, Terra & Mint Dental!

This is an amazing office. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to be seen quickly and they helped work with my insurance to save me money. I would highly recommend!!!

I had a great experience at Mint Dental. I don't go to the dentist often, but they were incredibly fast and professional. The hygienist (Rachel, I think) was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the dentist was too. They spent enough time with me to do a thorough job, but did not waste my time. They made recommendations for care and did not push procedures I may not need. So, it was a good experience.

I should also say that the office is beautiful with a fireplace, message dental chairs, and coffee. While that is nice, it also makes me nervous about my healthcare costs and where that money ends up. It's great to have a nice office as I suppose most dentists do these days, but I'd rather the money spent on those types of luxuries be spent on reduced rates, additional education or loan assistance for staff, or some sort of yielding investment like advanced equipment.

I asked for an appointment for a consult with their orthodontist. They set me up with Dr. Bowman. I was never told he wasn’t an ortho. I discovered this later . When I called to inquire about this discrepancy the office manager told me I could cancel. I had already had the moulds of my mouth made and was about a month or more in waiting for my Invisalign’s to arrive. Dr. Bowman told me I should be able to get express Invisalign’s at about $3500 and half the time. After my long wait I was told $7000 and 8 months...okay...the assistant attached the attachments and caught my lip in the drill which ripped my lip open. In order to not keep opening that wound I didn’t eat until dinner. An attachment fell off when I took my appliances out so I could eat. I didn’t see Bowman that day as he was too busy with another patient. The next day he did put on a new attachment. Due to Covid our evals were done via email pics. The email address I was given had a firewall so he wasn’t getting the images. That took awhile to figure out. At the end of it all I thought my lower teeth weren’t straight enough. The assistant could see what I saw as well. Bowman seemed mad at me. He told me I have 5 years to fix it. I wanted to just continue on and get it done all together. He told me I shouldn’t worry about that lower tooth but the “big, black hole in my mouth!” The big, black hole is a filling that he sees when I open wide which is not something I do for other people. I told him no other dentist has EVER mentioned this before. Why didn’t he say it disgusted him during my consult visit back in October instead of during my last visit? Why? He was distracting the issue from my crooked tooth to a filling.I told him that maybe I will get that filling switched to porcelain. He will NOT be the dentist however. Makes me feel sad. I did everything to the best of my ability. I wore the Invisalign’s exactly as directed and took excellent care of the appliances and my teeth. Super great home hygiene and was trying to be the best patient ever. There’s nothing I could have done better.

Fantastic team! Very professional. Understandably, things have been busy with the changes COVID has brought but they’ve always had a clean, very well maintained environment and are working hard to protect their patients. Really great at helping put my anxiety at ease and I appreciate their wonderful, friendly staff.

I have been a patient at Mint Dental for a couple of years, and have primarily seen Dr. Bickler, who has been a wonderful provider. She recommended wisdom teeth extractions on all four wisdom teeth, which I agreed on. She explained to me that Dr. McNeil would perform the procedure, but I had not yet met him. The pre-op appointment was done over the phone, and I was assured that I would be able to speak to Dr. McNeil on surgery day and ask him questions.

On surgery day I was welcomed by a team that prepared me for the procedure, and they also assured me that I would meet Dr. McNeil and be able to ask him questions prior to the procedure.
As I was sitting in the chair, hooked up to ECG, blood pressure monitoring, and O2 saturation, Dr. McNeil walks in. He does not look at me, just walks right by, as he mumbles "Hi, I'm Dr. McNeil, how are you doing", but never looks me in the eyes. I had never met this provider at this point. He did not even glance at my vitals, which I found concerning. Without even a proper introduction, he asked one of the team members to hit the lights so he could start the IV. I was still waiting for him to ask me if I had any questions, or at least tell me that he had reviewed my x-rays with Dr. Bickler and that he agreed with her diagnosis. But that never happened. He warned me that I would feel a poke as he started the IV. I realized I had to hurry if I wanted some answers to my questions, so I asked him how he would proceed with the extraction. As I am asking the question, I watch him push the IV sedation, and I realized I would fall asleep. It is by far- the worst encounter I have ever had with a provider. I was sedated in the middle of a sentence.

When I woke up from the procedure, Dr. McNeil was not there. I was sent home with post-op instructions. As I was called for my post-op appointment the following day, I asked if Dr. McNeil could call me back personally. I was told that he was in surgery all day and that all complaints had to go via management. Management called me back and said that Dr. McNeil felt terrible. I was told that he thought that I was an established patient, which I found worse. If that is how he treats his established patients, I am horrified.

The way I was treated that day by Dr. McNeil was totally unprofessional. Since I have never met him before, I don’t know if this is how he is all the time, or if this is just a one-off. In any case, I feel I deserve an explanation from him, not his office staff. On a final note, I have had great experiences with Dr. Bickler, the front desk, and other dental hygienists at Mint Dental.

The staff at Mint Dental are great. It was my first visit there on a Saturday as a walk-in. My tooth started hurting and I didn't have a dentist in town. I was happy to find a dental office open on Saturday. Everything was explained and I felt very comfortable. Would recommend Mint Dental to anyone looking for a dental Office.
