Mint Dental

Mint Dental was recommended to me by a friend when I first moved to Anchorage a little over a year ago. I have mild to moderate dental anxiety and have had pretty terrible experiences with other dental offices in the past. The team at Mint Dental were SO understanding of my issues (without making me feel like a weenie or weirdo) and were so gentle and kind and fast and AWESOME. That alone is worth the 5 star-rating to me...

….but it gets even BETTER! All 3 times I have been there every single one of the staff (from the front office to the hygienist to the dentist) have been superfriendly and nice, and I have never had to wait longer than 10 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time. Plus, they send you text message reminders of your upcoming appointment so you don't forget. If you have to change your appointment, they are very accommodating.

I had to go in to Mint Dental las minute to help repair a chipped section of my molar and the experience was excellent! From the time I arrived to the time I left I was treated as if I were a lifelong patient. I was pleased with the prompt service and care as well as the repair work done on my molar. thank you Mint Dental!

Dr. McNeil is super duper awesome!! I have had bad teeth for roughly all my life. And I have spent the majority of that time in and out of various dentist offices, never finding one who would and could provide me with the non judgmental, friendly, compassionate care I needed. Until one day I had another horrible cavity brewing. Looked up in network dentist for my insurance and found Mint dental and Dr. McNeil. I did NOT want to go in, but I was in crazy pain. So I called and I'm so glad I did!! They literally got me an appointment for less than 30 minutes later!! The dental staff was very friendly and the lobby is warm, inviting and has the most comfy chairs!! Oh and they have a very clean, modern, state of the art facility. They even had this mouth piece that kept my mouth open while the doc was knocking out my root canal!! Yea. That emergency visit? Dr. McNeil made the time for me between patients and gave me a complete root canal. He could of easily pushed me off but instead he truly cared and understood how much pain I was in and made sure I didnt leave without a solution. Fast forward 3 weeks later and he did the exact same thing for a couple more pesky cavities. Thankfully these were just fillings, but he stayed late after the office closed to get them completely done. I have no idea how I happened to chance coming here and finding such an amazing doc. Im so thankful I did though. Because now I can finally get the work I need done!! Never thought I would say this but I almost look forward to it!!
Thanks Dr. and thanks to ALL the staff at the best Dentist office in Alaska if not the entire west coast!!! 😁😁😁😁♡♡♡

P.S. They had a sign in my dental room saying they would give a free movie ticket for a review. Just wanted to clarify here that I did NOT receive the movie ticket. Why? Because I wanted my review to be honest and free of any "influence". So yes the hype is real. This place truly is hands down, the bees knees!!

Let me say this 1st. I avoid the dentist as much as I can. This was a very positive experience. The tech was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about her job and did very well helping me manage the pain and all that was going on at the time.
The Doctor was human and not on an ego trip like so many are. He was very thorough and knew that it was going to be painful for a bit.
I apologize for not getting the people names involved with my treatment but I very much appreciate there help and professionalism.

Mint Dental is the absolute best dental office I’ve ever been to! I recently had an emergency dental procedure, and with my dental-phobia/anxiety being *at least* an 11 (on a scale from 1-10), I was originally terrified. However, I was sooo completely blown away with how caring, compassionate, and surprisingly gentle Dr. Richard McKinney was! His assistant, Olena, was also a blessing! They made me feel so calm during my visit by keeping my informed and in the loop with everything going on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is place is AMAZING! Great staff and Dr . There’s one lady that stands out the MOST and she’s a hygienist, She help my Daughter to be more comfortable as ever and she’s so professional and Great worker . SHAWNY thank you for literally being the BEST ❤️ My kids said that we will never change their dental clinic as long as they have a Great person like you there . Again Thank You!

This is the third dentistry I had been to. The first two were terrible. I had a great experience here the staff are welcoming and warm. They will make you feel comfortable, and they are very understanding. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for Dental needs.Thanks you guys for my amazing smile.

As a mom I wanted the best care period for Zions oral surgery. We got it I love this office and it's staff! AMAZING. So relaxed not only in the waiting area but in the room it self. Very clean. Very efficient. Warm and welcoming. Thank you all at Mint dental

I broke a tooth on my dentures right up front. I called Mint Dental and they told me to come in and they could help me. Not only did they replace the tooth, they showed me that the dentures were wearing out and asked me if I would be interested in having them replaced if my insurance will cover it. I told them I would definitely be interested and they submitted the request to my insurance. We are still waiting to hear what the insurance company has to say.

Of course, this all happened right when the Covid-19 pandemic started gaining notoriety here in Alaska; but Mint Dental still performed admirably.

When my regular dentist wasn't able to fit me in last minute they instead recommended I visit Mint to quickly address my issue. Their facility is incredibly nice and they were very acommodating. I am very happy with the service I received.
