Last Friday I walked into Advanced Family Dentistry and they identified an abscess tooth that was bothering me. Although the dentist had scheduled time off he unselfishly came in and worked on me and his daughter gave my granddaughter her balloon. That's the kind of service I want to see from my dentist!

I’ve been scared of getting cavities since I was a toddler. So at 24, I finally got 5 cavities (thanks pregnancy!). The first two Dr. Lowrie filled went fine. Uncomfortable but painless. The second three, however, were horrible. I kept having to get more shots until finally I got a shot on the tooth. Dr. Lowrie was really nice about the whole thing but the hygienist kept chatting with him about random things like baking and I just wanted her to shhhhhh so I could focus and get through the pain. I thought I would never get out of there that day! It was awful! I kept thinking well my toddler self had a reason for all the cavity nightmares. And the next day my mouth hurt so bad from all the shots. So make sure you get good anesthesia right away for fillings.
