STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! And BEWARE: they try to hide bad reviews with multiple excellent reviews RIGHT AWAY! I donโt have time rn to write a full review on my experience, but one small example is they insisted I need X-ray; then claimed my tooth 3 and 4 needs crown, it will $3760 and insurance wonโt pay anything. I got suspicious, visited 3 different dentists, 2 of them were shocked who the heck said that because these tooth are freaking solid!!! I did filling with the 3rd dentist, told nothing to him about dr. Mehdizadeh so to make sure theyโre unbiased. It only cost me $49 in total. Yes, $49!! Do you now understand why they didnโt want to report it to insurance? This business is a scam. Dr. Mehdizadeh, Iโm so sorry for myself for thinking that I can trust you just because weโre from same country. And Iโm even more sorry for youโฆ you could use your expertise in the right way to make this world a better place and make people smile bigger but instead you just decided to make your own pocket biggerโฆ and Jennifer? Donโt even get me started on that.

Had a wonderful check up and cleaning today with Dr. Kiyan. I had veneers done here 4 years ago now and they still look as good when I got them. I get compliments on my teeth all the time and people donโt even know they are veneers!! Haha. This is office is truly the best in San Diego and Iโm grateful for what they have done for me.

I am sad to write this because I have been going to this office for ages, ever since I was in college. However, I have been going through a very difficult experience ever since I underwent a gum cleaning procedure in September of 2022. It is now March 2023 and my claim is still unresolved and no one answers my phone calls. I paid for two cleanings after the procedure in advance and have only received one. I have contacted the office multiple times but no one answers my phone calls or text messages. I contacted my insurance company and they stated that Floss sent incomplete information to them. Since Floss is out of network they cannot do anything, my only recourse would be to report them to the state dental insurance commission or to seek legal action. I cannot believe that this is happening. Now I'm questioning whether the procedure was even necessary given this suspicious behavior.
There are a lot of positive reviews on here, but fyi they were promising (at least to me) free dental whitening for a good review. I have never received the dental whitening.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kiyan in the past due to moving away from the area. Iโve had always loved his work, and what a perfectionist he is towards everyone! Dr. Kiyan is super friendly, compassionate and professional. His staff follows an extremely close second. The dentist is not my favorite thing to do but I know Iโm in great hands with Dr. Kiyan and his staff. The office in La Jolla is immaculate and state of the art. The music adds a nice feel. The close up imaging of your teeth on an Apple computer puts an entirely different opinion about your teeth. A smile is worth a million dollars. Thank the lord it didnโt cost that! I am glad I have moved closer to Floss and have a beautiful smile now thanks to Dr. Kiyan and his wonderful staff. Five Stars all around!

Jennifer should really honestly be fired for her behavior. Someone on here described her as belligerent and that couldn't be more accurate. We received at $14,000+ quoted package or treatment plan, whatever you want to call it. Jen felt it was very offensive to suggest they sell their patients on anything other than a "plan" and was very offended in the idea that they "sell"... Our first run in with Jennifer was when they charged us for a dental cleaning beyond what the dental plan had broken down. (Their cleanings are $350+.... and is not covered by insurance due to their prices. On top of that, they want to do them every 3 months. This in itself is a huge cash injection into the company.... sales...). This was annoying, of course, because the girl there before her who was much better to deal with and who sold us on this, explained the package was all we would every be charged... package... not plan. But sure, lady... its a "plan." After several convos with Jen, she spoke with the dentist and they approved a credit since they did not allow the actual payer, me, to be present due to covid. She also stated she would call me, the actual payer before charging me again. Haha, that never happened. Then, comes the best part. My husband who had temps put on his mouth, whitened with the dentist's whitening supplies for months and was told by the crown company, who was referred by Jennifer and the team, that he would not like the coloring at all and should continue to whiten. Wonderful... another issue. But thanks for your honesty, right? After all, he is being told over and over how much we're going to "love the results by the dentist." Well, let's see what we have to do next. So we called floss and received a call back and email from a very threatening and hostile Jennifer stating several overly expensive options to pay for this while also stating that there was no way my husband's color could get any lighter. Also, stating that we would "not be contacting them upset again." A mild threat and so so so unprofessional. If you can't handle dealing with upset customers, please don't. There are other jobs and businesses where you can avoid people. She was essentially, trying to pressure him into his color while also laying into me, the wife, for asking for a solution to this mess. I'm sorry but I've invested the cost of a car into these teeth. They need to be what we were told they were going to be. On top of that, I am in high end sales myself and my high end clientele expect high end results. We had low end customer service and fear of low end results. Haha... well... it just so happens that my husband's previous experience had been SO bad.. he had Jennifer personally apologizing over an hour late appointment where he was sitting outside the lobby due to, of course, more disorganization by the company. Jeeze.. more low end experiences.. So, explaining this along with the fact that we would just take care of the issue ourselves and were easily able to match the whiteness their partner stated we would want in just one zoom session, we were left with crickets from little Jennifer who ensured my husbands teeth would not brighten any more than they were. The only reason I am leaving this review is for any other client looking into Jennifer's claims as she uses "bully tactics" to save the business money. My advice: don't listen to her. She's a liar. Do what you feel is right because her gaslighting, while may be effective to some, will leave you feeling upset you spent so much money on mundane work. We have found a much better dentist and have learned from just choosing a dentist from an Instagram ad. Sorry Jen, maybe customer service just isn't for you.

It took me 20 years to find the right dentist! And I've seen dentists all over the world! I would give 10 stars if I only could. Dr. Kiyan is more than just the best dentist in his field, but also a great human being! He is very professional, honest, with a great sense of humor, very stylish and full of life and positive vibes! The whole office team is just superb! All the ladies are very friendly, attentive to details and always follow through. Office is very modern, clean and has its own personality๐ Never did I enjoy going to a dentist until now. I'm looking forward to the visit all the time and beyond happy with the results.
