OBT DENTAL AND ORTHODONTICS

Thanks to the entire OBT Staff for helping with the appointment and with recommendations for future treatments. I want to thank Valeria specifically she was amazing on the phone and made everything a pleasent Experience, and a shout out to all the girls in the front desk y'all are doing an awesome job!

Dr. Sumaya Anjum is fantastic. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to the dentist due to a past experience I had as a child. She, along with her assistant (I wish I knew her name), were so patient with me and made sure I was completely numb before drilling on me because they knew I was fearful of the pain. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable before starting the procedure, and then once we got the procedure under way, she was very fast and efficient. The reception staff has always been helpful for me as well.

This establishment has repeatidly ignored my calls and voicemails for simple requests. They also took weeks to communicate with my doctor just to verify documents prior to care. Now i finally came in myself to create an appointment since they cancelled my last ones due to covid and NEVER contacted me back (several weeks have passed and I'm having a serious dental need of attention.)

Now they tell me in person they no longer accept my insurance since MAY!!!!

I WOULD NOT recommend .

Not the same, this Business has taken on the practice of charging for services well in advance of the scheduled appointment, if you are not willing to risk paying full price well in advance, you will likely be banished from services. With the shift in access to medical and dental treatment, the element of risk has increased dramatically for all, the risk of my showing up on the day of services, pales in comparison to the Business' ability to deliver services on the scheduled day, as there are far more variables that could affect the Business' abilities than are that would affect the consumers ability to keep that appointment. The only element I had that would assure the Business' ability to deliver on the agreed services (paying on the day of services, at the service location) and pricing has been removed leaving me vulnerable to financial harm.
Long and Short is, I will now have to seek dental care elsewhere as I find these billing practices to be inappropriate. The business has shifted their portion of risk to the consumer. The Consumer is left with no financial protection (other than to legally pursue the return of their money), nice move for Dr Olmos and his staff, however I find this to be Poor Consumer Relations and does not take the Patients Best Interest into Consideration.
Perhaps the new Kissimmee office is a better choice as I have seen a notable overall decline in satisfaction at the OBT location since the new office has opened in Kissimmee. At any rate, I will have to search for another provider that uses more appropriate business practices.
I feel you can get successfully have your Dental needs met at this business, however you will have to be willing to put your money on the table well in advance in hopes that the services will be available to you at the agreed date and time. This will include A) The building is safe and accessible, B) the service provider ( employee ) has made it to work on that day and is not ILL, plus a host of other variables that can be encountered on a daily bases with any business, which could impact the business' ability to deliver the goods or services on the scheduled day and time.

PREVIOUS REVIEW: (1 year ago) Always a Pleasure, Dr Olmos and his Staff are always professional, Courteous and Caring, Dr Olmos always takes the time to explain conditions and procedures in a manner that is understandable to the patient. I am grateful to have found a Dentist in the Orlando area that always puts the patient first. OBT Dental is the only Dentist that I would recommend in Central Florida.

If you want a Dentist office who is interested in what is best for you and has the best staff, then OBT Dental is the place. Everyone has always been professional and friendly at this office. The Dr explain every detail and answer all my concerns. I am now taking my 12 year old son there because he deserves the best. They certainly take their time to give you individualized treatment. Dr and staff really cares for his patients and there true needs. I couldn't be in better hands!!!

I call numerous times! When the call goes through they place me on hold right away i only know because i hear the background and i called various days!!! Everytime i call background sounds different so i know it isn't automated. They place me on hold for 27 minutes then hung up. Worst dentist ever they never call back for follow ups. They gave me the wrong referral knowing what insurance i have. I wasn't supposed to pay for my exams because it's covered thru the insurance. A complete RIP off!! Please avoid at all cost!!

Great customer service. I come here for all my dental needs. Very clean and welcoming. Doctor was very knowledgeable. Like the recent updates too. New chairs and equipment.

Went into the office to discuss a referral they sent to my insurance company. They should have sent it as an emergency but didn't, and had the nerve to argue with me, a patient who is in pain, as to when they are going to send it. I have never had a dentist that delayed the treatment of a patient who was in pain. An emergency referral should have been sent on the day of my appointment, but it's just now getting done 2 days later, only because I went back in and argued until it got done.

If I can give it ZERO stars, I would! They are such rip-offs! All they want is to charge up the insurance companies and charge up the patients. They wanted to charge me $5,000 ((insurance charge) and $1,200 out of pocket for the same job I've been getting on my teeth for the past three years which use to be $3,000 (insurance charge) with also $1,200 out of pocket! WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!! Not only that, I got care credit and pre-paid about $3,500 and they still owe me money, but they still want to charge me EVEN WITH THE MONEY THEY OWE ME!!!!! Such a bad place!!!! I'm going to contact my insurance company with all the work they've done and show them that they are stealing money from the insurance company and I'm sure its not first time, but I promise it'll be their last!!! I'm going to compile all the paper work in a video and post a review on YouTube of their fraudulent services!
