Hats off to Dr. An Nyguen and the staff at Smiles Included (Dental Associates of Winter Haven)! They really know how to care for their patients needs and concerns. They are genuinely caring and compassionate people who helped me move past my fear of the dentist. I was severly traumatized as a child by a dentist and ever since then I have been fearful of going to the dentist. But after being treated so well and having my procedures explained to me in detail every step along the way...I can truly say my fear is gone. Thanks again for a job well done!

Stay Away!!!. They are quick to run your credit payment for co-payments, but I am still trying to get the offfice to bill insurance CORRECTLY - 18 MONTHS later. I have been patient and waited ALL DAY today for a return call that never came. I previously sat in the office for over 20 minutes to straighten this out approximately two months ago.
Due to Doctor error, my Good Tooth was loosened, so he cemented it to another one, then left the cement on the teeth, when I complained that it cut my tongue, he only cleaned the inside, the outside STILL has left over cement on the teeth - makes it feel dirty and rough.
After one appointment, the technician walked me out, I had previously paid, tech stated: a procedure was not done, remove from billing, the staff member who took my payment stated: you are good to go - where was my credit for the procedure that was not performed?????
Still think they are wonderful???
I am still searching for a GOOD DENTIST - any out there??

Dr. Ledger and his assistant Yamans (sp?) were super!! My husband had a tooth pulled there that was hurting him, he has a lot of medical issues and Dr. Ledger kept this all in mind as he pulled it. They were polite, funny, timely and professional. I definitely would recommend to everyone.

i have never been to a dental clinic where the staff is always so polite. Dr. Ledger is the best dentist i have ever gone to. when he gives me a shot i don't even feel it. He makes sure you are pain free. i would recommend him to any and everyone who hates to go to the dentist because of the pain. well Dr. Ledger is your dentist. Thank you again for me having pain free dental fillings.

Don’t take your kids here. I waited an hour because they were running behind. The dental assistant who brought us back didn’t want my younger daughter in the room. Wanting me choose between going back with my reluctant son or leave my daughter alone in the waiting room. My son sat down for less than 5 minutes before they determined they couldn’t work on him because he was whimpering. I asked for 5 minutes to calm him down, which he did but they wouldn’t hear it. He already had been there so they knew he was afraid of the dentist. They should have taken that in consideration before scheduling an appointment they had no intention of going through with. Or maybe it was to close to their closing time for them to care. Save your time and money go somewhere else.

They stretch out progress no concern for patient comfort. Did series of xrays without protection for patient. Have not followed treatment plan. Called to speak to office manager left on hold for almost a hour.

I am sorry to have to write a negative review of this dental office. I was hopeful that it would be a good place to receive dental care. And perhaps in the past it was better. For perspective you should know that we do not have dental insurance, but this place allows a small discount with Careington, which we were entitled to and received.

My last visit was supposed to be for a cleaning. When I went in, the hygienist (who did not introduce herself) was different from both previous visits. She began to tell me what I was going to have done today. I told her that I was only in for a cleaning, and she said that they "always" do a peridontal probing to assess gum disease at no charge. I allowed that, and when finished she said that I had moderate gum disease "some 4's and 5's" and they would need to work up a plan for treatment. She spent maybe 10 minutes and came back with a print out showing treatment and cost, about $1100.

Once I got over the shock, I told her that I had only budgeted for a regular cleaning (not the special one with planing and anesthesia), so could we go ahead with that, so that I could discuss and budget for the other. She said she would have to "check on it." She left the room for several minutes and came back saying, "I'm sorry. We can't do a regular cleaning, because we would be failing to do what you need." I was incredulous. "You mean you can't clean my teeth at all until I can get this procedure done?" She told me that was correct.

I left, determined to do research. I forgot to tell you that when she told me I had this condition, I asked her if it was aging or some other cause. She said it was usually "poor home care". I floss at least twice a day and brush twice a day, and have always been told my teeth are well cared-for.

To close, today I went to a private dentist with his own hygienist. She saw no evidence of peridontal disease, and the dentist believes the only tooth that needs repair is a crown (which I had been told to expect by my previous dentist in another state).

I do not trust them. It is unethical to refuse a less expensive cleaning. Some of the employees lack basic courtesy. I would avoid this place.

Entire staff was super friendly and helped ease my anxiety of having a tooth pulled. Also got me in quickly to help stop the pain. Thanks so much, I now have a new dentist.

regardless of the score of this dentist my experience wasn't nearly as great, and not because i hate the dentist. i scheduled an appointment to have my teeth examined to get quote for extractions and dentures. it took a bit of work to get the x-rays done and the dentist tried to tell me he could fix my teeth before opening my mouth, i said no, i need them pulled out and dentures made, once he examined me he agreed that it would probably be best.

after the examination the dentist was nice enough and explained some of the procedure and it felt like he cared a little, but once it came to the quote i was given an estimate of over $9k for 18 extractions, a partial lower and a full upper to be made. i wasn't aware that the cost of dental work had gotten that insane, even if i financed it the procedure would wind up costing $15k after interest payments, which i couldn't afford.

the real issue i have is that the finance person who gave me the estimate didn't seem to be very interested in explaining any alternatives or whether i could afford the procedure, or perhaps opting to remove the plugs for my jaw to reinforce the bone for the dentures to sit on, which are another $120 per plug, times 18. if that was removed then it might have been reasonable to do the procedure, but i wasn't explained anything, just pushed out of the office with a sheet that had an exorbitant amount of money on it if i wanted to do it.

now onto the serious part, teeth cause health issues, i have health issues because of my teeth and i wanted to start a process of fixing this so i can let me body heal itself, instead i wasn't talked to in any means about my pain, my health or what i could or couldn't afford or given any options, instead i was sent on my way feeling depressed about the whole thing. i feel like this office only cares about how much money they make, not about whether you die from an abscess tooth or a systemic infection. i urge you to reconsider if you are in a position near the one i am still in, because this dentist wasted my insurance checkup allocation amount, i now have to take more time off my busy work schedule to find another dentist that hopefully cares about you and your health and not just your money.

edit: i also just recieved a bill from them on top of my insurance. all i got was an exam and x-rays. my insurance covers those procedures, so why did i get a bill as well? well, i can't say i'm surprised. of which i'm not paying your bill, most decent dental offices offer initial exams for free.

i wound up going to affordable dentures in kissimmee, the initial exam was free, i didn't have to clamp my already broken teeth onto plates for 30 minutes either, they have modern equipment that does a full mouth x-ray in 10 seconds, pain free. the bill was half what these guys wanted and the service was excellent. they showed that they cared, where dental associates of florida failed to do so.

edit #2 :

Now i'm getting letters from collections over $50 that i refuse to pay. I waited months to see this office because of the positive reviews i saw, many other dentists had 2-3 month waits as well. I gave my insurance, never was asked for a copay because my insurance should cover basic new patient x-rays and initial exam however i have been getting a bill for it until it was sent to a collections office. Not only did i sacrifice my health waiting to see these people i now have to deal with this, long story short, i will be forwarding a complaint to the florida board of dentistry regarding this company and their ethics and procedures. I work hard for a living, i care about people and have never gotten a break since this Covid stuff started, but i don't want sympathy, i want people to voice their opinions when they are treated with ill respect and fight fraudulent practices. I paid Affordable Dentures $5.4k up front before my procedure and i was happy to pay them, so it was never about being poor and still isn't. it also took less than a week for an appointment, not over 2 months of pain and feeling sick.
