Yay, I love going to the dentist! Said no one ever...
I have great fear of doctors, any doctors, especially dentists after a few bad experiences in the past. That's why I haven't gone to one for almost 10 years. I did my research, when you have healthy teeth like my co worker (60 yo, no issues) you can go anywhere for your check up and basic cleaning. But if you have something bad going on in your mouth ( I have bunch of issues and periodontal disease on top, well actually that's the bottom or a root of my issues) it's hard to find a doctor. Yep, out of hundreds of dentist in the area. So, I m sitting with a phone number in my hand, battling my fears and anxiety, thinking if they rude or pushy on the phone I'll hang up and never dial any dental office again ( I work in customer service). That was almost a year ago. Btw, Sarah and Danielle are awesome, they like sisters to me now.
Fast forward to today. Dr. Prane and my hygienist Stephanie have saved my life, I mean my teeth. I was never pressured to anything. Every question was answered, every procedure was explained in advance, every payment was discussed in advance. Most important I was never judged!
If your dentist tell, you need to have tons of work done, after seeing you for 10 minutes....run. If your X-ray or/and pictures of your teeth were never shown to you...run. If you ask a question and get no answer...run. If hygienist spends only 15 min in your mouth...run.
I can see the difference between my teeth from last year and now. Dr. Prane goes tooth by tooth, and we discuss my options, treatment plan etc. Same with my hygienist Stephanie, she always give me helpful tips, what to do at home, how to take care of my teeth better, what else is out there for me to try? We discuss what is going on in my mouth, what are we going to do, where we need to pay more attention? I m embarrassed to say, but I've been flossing my whole adult life, just to find out that I've been doing it wrong. Thank you Stephanie!
You don't have to settle on bad doctor, there are great doctors out there. Dr. Prane is wonderful, she has magical hands. Even if you here for a basic clean, she'll always come to check up on you.
Office is cozy and welcoming, latest magazines and drinks always available.

My husband and I have been going to SFDC for at least 8 years now. Since we started going there we have moved an hour away, but we still make the trip to Dr. Prane and her team because we love it there. They listen to you and make sure you feel comfortable, no matter what. I would highly recommend going to this dentist!

I recently had my teeth cleaned at this office and had an awesome experience from start to finish. Dr. Prane also fixed one of my front teeth this week within 12 hours notice. Great office, I highly recommend!
