Dr. Elmitt is professional, extremely gentle on my sensitive teeth, and an all-around good guy. When I had a dentist in a different state tell me that I needed some major work done immediately, I had them send the x-rays to Dr. Elmitt, who assured me that I did not need any of the expensive work that they were proposing. He has surrounded himself with excellent assistants and office staff. And he has donated toothbrushes to several of my charitable causes. Five stars all around.

Dr. Karch is a exceptional dentist. I saw him after another dentist diagnosed I needed a root canal. A specialist did the root canal but Dr. Karch was there for after care and to place the crown. Dr. Karch provides a welcoming, comfortable and professional approach to oral health care. No procedures are recommended without deep consideration for the absolute necessity of the actions and costs. Again, can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was with Dr. Karch. I would recommend him to everyone I know!!

Fantastic dentist in the Johnston/Des Moines area.
My two favorite things:
1) Whitney, my hygienist, has somehow perfected the art of being friendly and conversational WITHOUT having you try to awkwardly answer questions while shoving dentistry gadgets in your mouth.
2) Quote from Dr. Elmitt (paraphrased): "We try to avoid drilling into your teeth if we don't have to."
My translation: These people are good, honest dentists. They will keep your teeth clean & healthy, and only perform additional work if it is in your long-term best interests.
Other things to note: the office is very clean, bright, and comfortable. The staff was friendly. They had TVs in the room with Netflix (or just a serene video of ocean fish swimming in tranquil harmony).
