Dr. Karvounis is amazing. Very patient-centric, explains procedures and treatment plan, asks for questions, concerns. TResponds in informative, concerned way to be sure everything is understood. Extremely calm, confident approach to treatment. Excellent treatment under her care. Thank you!

After a horrifying experience at NIHA, what a pleasure to meet Dr. Adams and his staff. My first impression, it looked like a spa. Everyone was friendly from the first moment. Dr. Adams explained everything in detail, what my options were, how long it would take, and how comfortable I could be. Lemons were turned into lemon aid. I can't wait to reccomend it to my mercury laden friends. Thank you, so much!

My wife and daughter went in for a free exam and just the cost of xrays. We also were told for a full extraction and replacement it would be no more than $30,000. After the exam the price was over $50,000. They charged my daughter $278 for just the xrays which she paid. My wife also paid the same at the end of the visit but they were having computer issues and said they would email the receipt.
When my wife got the email they charge us an extra $130. When I asked why since the exam was free. They said it was because I had insurance.
This has to be illegal.
Side note. Their exam room was dirty and had ants crawling in several location. When I pointed it out they said the guy was coming to spray.
Bad experience. They wasted our time and money then tried to have my insurance pay for a so called free exam.
Very discouraging place.

Stay away! Dr. Gary Adams while performing a tooth extraction, had me in the chair for over 4+ hours and numbed up while he was going in and out treating other patients. At the end of it, he negligently left a piece of root in my gum (after I specifically asked him to take a precautionary xray). As a result, months later, it caused an infection in my gum and I had to go to another oral surgeon to have the piece of root removed. He said that he was sorry for leaving the root in, however he refused to pay for the cost of the oral surgeon to fix his mistake. Also, be careful in letting him shave down your teeth to correct your bite, he'll use basic analogies like "your teeth should fit like a puzzle", but he over shaved and now my teeth are sensitive to hot/cold. Go at your own risk. Hope this helps people avoid my same ordeal. It's a good thing you fired him!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!!!!!!!!! This has been the worst experience ever with any dentist in my life. I found this dentist on Google after my dentist of many years had retired, due to their good reviews on implants . I had a treatment plan in place and this office was close to me. I went in for the initial visit which was fine. I needed 2 dental implants which we discussed could be done and an initial fee. After paying the fee (which I was quoted), A time was set up and I came back. I got the implants in and was told that it needed time to heal (3-6 months) which was fine with me. I also spoke to the doctor about braces in regards to straightening my slight overbite. Dr. Baer informed that I would not be a candidate for traditional braces due to the fact that the enamel on my teeth was not strong enough(??) , I had never heard this but I thought, hey she is a dentist she knows what she is talking about. I made the next appointment to get my crowns put on, I was molded and they told me 3 weeks they would be available and I could get them put on. Now they are telling me I owe 2000.00 more than what was initially charged. I spoke with the office staff, they gave me a break down and I paid it and moved on . I went to a general dentist in my area for my 6month cleaning(as I was only using Dr. Baer for the implants) and they informed me that the implant on the right side was not put in straight and was slanted. They offered to take over the implant treatment from where I was , they just needed to know what type of implant it was. I called the office at least 5 times and asked for this information, it was never given. Finally I said forget it, and got the crowns put on. I hated them, I expressed my frustration about how they looked and dr baer assured me that this would change after the invisilign treatment was done. I was molded for my invislign that day by the assistant and was told there was nothing left for me to do. I paid the money (initial 70% of $3694) and was told that they would be ready in 3 weeks at that point I would pay the balance .

3 weeks later(feb 2016), I get a call from the office staff requesting payment of the balance, I asked were the invisilign ready and was I was told the mold was never sent off because Dr. Baer forgot she needed to take pictures. I was furious. Not only did you not order them, you are calling me to collect a balance on something that did not exist. I informed the staff that I did not want to move forward with the treatment and to refund me my money. I was told that I would have to pay $100 for the molds. Fine

I contacted my insurance company and informed that I would not be going forward with the treatment and they stated that the office would need to reverse the claim. I contacted the office and was informed this would be done. You guessed it (it was never done)Fast forward to May 16, 2016. I had not heard anything from the office, so I called again requesting to contact my insurance company and a refund. I spoke to Deann who stated that she would email me the information. I received an email stating that I would be receiving a refund of 747.00 and they have contacted the insurance company. I may not a be a mathematician but something here is off. I called the office back and spoke to Deann asked to send an itemized statement, and guess what. they miraculously charged me a 518.00 consultation fee . I called the office and spoke to Melissa(the office manager) who was extremely rude and condescending and stated that their fee was added when I no longer wanted to complete the treatment. (read the rest of my post on Yelp) character limit met here.

Not a good experience. I wanted stainless steel alternative for 9 year old son. They wanted to give him a new 3d scan (CT) which would have fried his brains. Also, offered a sealant he did not need for $1000. Front desk was very cold and bossy. As soon as you're done with the dentist, they corner you and sell you a credit card so you can pay their way too high prices. Bossy desk lady insisted I sign something ludicrous with the $9000 estimate. I refused. Not so natural, holistic rip off artists bossy and demeaning like most other doctors.

Wish I had known about Dr. Baer and NDA 15 years ago, because there philosophy is that you need to save living teeth and not let them get to the point where they have to be killed with root canals. Very wise responses to all my questions. Highly recommended

This was the best experience I had at a dentist, especially getting an extraction. Due to my past experience with extractions that felt like a jack hammer was being used on my jaw I was extremely anxious so I asked for nitrous oxide. I really didn't need it; he was so gentle that I barely knew he was working.

Incredibly fast and effective.

Called in the night before as a new patient with severe tooth pain.
Filled out online forms.
Showed up 20mins early as requested.
Online forms were in the system and ready (no "fill out extra stuff" phase.)
Dr. Tipograph and her assistant started appointment on time.
Exam directed at issue area and X-Rays done.
15 mins into appointment start I had a plan for action (we reviewed x-rays, and extraction of the tooth with previous crown/root canal work, very infected root, and abscess, implant post, follow up to include crown.)
28 mins into appointment had cost break down and they had contacted my insurance to confirm coverage and my payment.
Dr. Tipograph had open space in the schedule and said we could get the extraction and implant post same day.
1hr into the appointment tooth was out.
I have had previous jaw surgery, so scar tissue, above normal amount of nerves, fast metabolism, took some extra work to drive the post extraction pain spike down, and the abscess/root clean up were hitting a lot of different nerves.
2hr 18 mins into the appointment, abscess and root were cleaned out, flushed with ozone water and ozone gas, and implant in place.
2hr 40 mins payment was processed, and I was on my way to pick up scripts (pain meds, antibiotics, very short term steroids for recovery.)
Got follow up call from Dr Tipograph at 7pm to check in.
12 hours later and "as needed" pain meds were no longer needed.
Next day, no bruising, no noticeable swelling, no pain meds, no pain.

Outstanding results.

Amazing turn around (next day first appointment to pain gone in less than 48 hours.)
Incredibly understanding (I move a lot as a military dependent, and came in with no records and only guilt for not having seen a dentist for 3 years was brought in by me, staff and doctor were committed to fixing what's wrong and did it fast.)

Dr Baer is a gentle genius and a giant in the field!!!
