I have never had an experience at the dentist like the one I had today. From the minute I walked in, til the minute I left I felt welcomed and that everyone there genuinely cared about me and, obviously my teeth. My anxiety about dental work is at an all time low and I feel that I will be taken care of. I've never felt that after leaving the dentist. Is that weird? Thanks South Shore a Dentistry!! It's a fantastic facility with great dentists and hygienists. However, let the buyer beware: ask point blank before booking an appointment if South Shore Dentistry is IN-NETWORK with your insurance company.
At no point after taking my insurance information did the office management inform me that they are out-of-network for Cigna and have no intention of ever becoming part of Cigna's network. I believe that I even asked when originally booking if they "accepted Cigna insurance," which apparently wasn't enough to warrant a full disclosure (that, yes, they accept it, but no, not in-network).

An excellent dentist is absolutely priceless! I have been to other dentists... actually by accident (and that's another story), and have had subsequent and costly dental failures. Having been with Dr. Burt almost 20 years, I can say that I've never had a failure. And by that I mean a crown with a small gap that developed rot or a crown that has popped off. Really, the peace of mind that I have with Dr. Burt is wonderful. You want a great dentist so that you don't have to think about dental issues. His staff is competent, courteous and friendly as well.
