West Lakes Dentistry

It's hard to find a great dentist, so if you're in the market I recommend West Lakes. They facility is spotless and modern, the hygienists are friendly, gentle and efficient. Really can't say enough about this place - started and run by women - great for the whole family.

West Lake Dentistry is everything I would like for my oral care--excellent care, conveniently located to my house, courteous staff--I'm always welcomed with a smile to feel that my business matters, comfortable surroundings. And this last point may not matter to anyone but me, but as a member of the Westonka Historical Society, I love that their office started its life as a fast-food building (that would otherwise be sitting abandoned and unattractive) and has been re-purposed into a lovely professional establishment that enhances the little town of Mound. This group exemplifies good use of resources and that speaks volumes to me.

I love West Lakes Dentistry! My entire family is seen by the most fantastic clinical staff and always look forward to our visits! I would recommend West Lakes Dentistry without hesitation and am excited about the additional location in Chaska!

I love West Lakes Dentistry. The hygienists are wonderful. They care so much for their patients and remember things about me from previous visits. I appreciate how friendly everyone is.

Yesterday I had my first visit with them. They took the time to get to know me a little before jumping right in with the cleaning and exam. I had Liz, who was absolutely great. The way she talked me through the stages of what she was going to do, and how she did everything was wonderful. Sometimes you may get a hygenist who is so over aggresive it turns you off, but she was gentle in her cleaning and yet I knew it was getting done right. I have a tooth that is a little sensitive and as soon as I made her aware, she was so accomadating to me, making sure I was ok.
I will be going back for more services as the entire staff was so welcoming.

I have not actually been there myself yet, but I called to schedule an appointment for my fiance and was very pleased. The lady on the phone was able to answer all of my questions and get an appointment made within a couple days. My fiance seemed to have a good experience. We'll see how things continue to go, as they are actually not in network with his dental insurance provider.

For visit number two we couldn't remember if the appointment was at 10 or 11, so we went online to get their phone number. The site said the office did not open until noon. It was only about 8:30, but we called anyways and they were open already. My fiancé later went in for his deep cleaning, and when I came home he had an appointment card for something another week out. I asked him and he said they only did half of his mouth. I'm beginning to get a bit weary, but will continue to let things play out.

Now there are two words I never thought I would use to describe my visit to the dentist.Loved it is a bit heavy but d-mn close. I was recognized and addressed by name when I arrived and everyone including the young lady at the reception desk seemed to be genuinely concerned about my comfort and explained every thing in a language I could understand. I'll admit that may have been two or three times because my fear is irrational but it is always lowered to a manageable level by the professionalism of Dr. Minor and her staff. Wonderful place with wonderful people. I could not ask for more.

All of my children had their teeth cleaned today, and one of them had to have a tooth pulled. They called to ask permission to take his tooth out, and my son had no issues with that. He felt very comfortable, with us not even there. It was great!

Very disappointed with our experience at West Lakes Dentistry. I took my 4 year old there last fall and was told that she had 4 cavities that needed filled, and that they needed to be filled immediately. I was guilt tripped and basically told that I'm a bad parent for letting her teeth get that bad. After being provided an estimate of $400 to have the cavities filled, I said that we needed to hold off on scheduling the appointment while we worked to budget that in. The receptionist responded that "Each day you let it go your daughter is in more and more pain, so I guess you need to get your priorities straight!". I left in tears. I was then hounded with phone calls and emails for the next month, harassing me to get the appointment set up. I just took her to Camp Smile in Excelsior (which is absolutely amazing by the way) and was told that she has zero cavities and her teeth look great. Do not put your child through dental work at West Lakes Dentistry without getting a second opinion. This place is extremely money hungry, and does not look out for their patient's best interest. Will never be back again!!
