I have tried several other dentists due to insurance changes. Never again. Dr. Loween and Serene Oaks provide superb service. I am very comfortable and confident I'm getting the best care possible!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Horn and her amazing staff since she opened her practice at Serene Oaks Dental. Every single time I’ve been seen, I’ve been greeted with warmth and genuine friendliness. She and her staff truly care about their patients, and it shows by the amount of time and care she invests into us (this is not one of those dental practices where you’re rushed in and out, feeling confused and a little bewildered). As nerve racking as getting dental work done, Dr. Horn and her team have somehow created an environment that is peaceful, welcoming, and you know you’re getting the absolute best care for your mouth that the Twin Cities has to offer. And all done completely painlessly! In fact, her staff is so awesome that instead of looking for a pediatric dentist for my three young kiddos, I take them to her. And they literally BEG to have appointments at Serene Oaks (and are disappointed when it’s only me that “gets to go to the dentist”). With Dr. Horn and Dr. Loween, you’re spoiled by having the friendliest, most trustworthy dental team, but they also the industry leaders in terms of quality dental care and treatments. I’d highly, highly recommend them to anyone and everyone..

Serene oaks is a wonderful place to receive dental care. The staff know who you are from the minute you walk in the door and take every opportunity to make your experience comfortable and efficient! From the blanket and heated neck wrap to the paraffin hand dip and tv to keep my daughter entertained. It is spa like and the complete opposite of what you imagine when you think of going to the dentist! My daughter and I both go here and would recommend to anyone who asks!

Dr. Horn and the staff at Serene Oaks Dental are the kindest, most patient people in the dental industry. When I sit in a dental chair, internally I feel like Dustin Hoffman in "Marathon Man." My first visit ended in a panic attack. Through their calm, gentle as they can be behaviour, I have two shiny new crowns. I'd suggest anyone with "dentist phobia" to become a patient with them.

Because of past orthodontic encounters and the subsequent anxiety re: teeth, dentists, x-rays, braces- (you name it, if it had to do with entering the dentist's office), I was a wreck every time I had to make a dental appointment. I'm sure my chart was "red flagged" within 1 minute after entering Serene Oaks. The good news is that at Serene Oaks, that doesn't mean, "look out,problem patient ahead!" Rather, for Dr.Horn and her team, it means, "extra special care and attention needed- pull out ALL the stops to reassure this one".

I'm especially grateful to Melissa for accepting me and my ensuing challenges, from x-rays, to impressions, to procedures; her explanations helped me understand things about my mouth & bite, her tricks of the trade got me through my overactive gag response, her presence alone is a comfort & reassurance that no matter what lies ahead, we'll make it through it together.

I can't imagine another dentist with the patience of Job (yes,it has taken me years!) to stick out this process with me. Thanks Dr. Horn, for your continual professionalism and persistence. I didn't truly understand the dysfunction of my bite (I thought it was working for me) until I finally completed the work to be where I am now. I am thrilled to chew bilaterally, to be pain free, to have my teeth and jaw in the correct position, to take a bite out of a sandwich (no more cutting it into small pieces)- everything fits!

I thought it was all about a beautiful cosmetic smile, but it's not. It is about the health and well being that comes with a corrected bite. But don't worry, Dr. Horn will make sure you have a beautiful smile to reflect that as well.

Quality service and attention to detail make this place the best. Top to bottom, everyone that I have encountered has made me appreciate what Serene Oaks does. I know that when I am "in the chair", I am getting great dental care. Additionally, things like smiles, patience, questions answered and other non-treatment things add up to a great experience and good oral health. Thank you.

Dr.Gesica Horn and her team have done a great job taking care of me. They are always so friendly and they are very intentional of creating a calm and peaceful environment. Now that I am finally cavity free I promise to do my flossing!

June 2021 Update: Due to a change in insurance coverage I had to switch dentists and in hind sight have found Serene Oaks hygiene and billing practices to be more aggressive than necessary. Staff is still thorough and kind, but...Deep root scaling was performed regularly and our new dentist is telling us that isn't needed as often as was performed. Small cavities Serene said needed filling turned out to be only stains. They quoted me one price and tried to collect several hundred more when the work was done within a year, telling me their prices had gone up (during COVID). They honored the original quote after I was clear I wasn't going to pay the higher price. They tended to over collect on the day of service (we had dual insurance coverage) and then hang on to the credit (sometimes several hundred dollars) until the next visit. One time they told me I had a $1,000 credit, it took several months to get that refunded, and then just before Christmas they said it was a mistake and wanted it paid back. It's just not the way I want to do business.
