HORRIBLE MONEY HUNGRY OPERATION
I wanted to have my teeth cleaned and thought I would try this fairly new office since they have locations nationwide. The ability to have a dental clinic, no matter where I traveled, appealed to me. So I signed up online , wanting a teeth cleaning, but it would only let me check "check-up". I called and they said I could only have my teeth cleaned if hygiene had a chair open when I was finished with my check-up. I thought that was odd. So, I went in to proceed with a check-up. The hygienist was very pushy with me to buy extra things ($135 tooth brush, $35 prescription toothpaste, etc). She even put a form in front of me while I was leaned back in the chair and said I needed to pay them $30 for an oral cancer screening. She was talking very fast and I felt like I was at a slimy car dealership or mechanic, who was trying to get me to replace every nut and bolt when I went in for an oil change. LITERALLY!!
I have had no problems with my teeth in years. My gums do not bleed and I take care of my teeth. The hygienist told me that I have gum disease and needed to be seen every three months. The doctor came in and told me I needs a crown and two fillings and a root canal. When I wanted to discuss options, feeling that my teeth never hurt, bleed, etc. they said there were no options and this is what HAD to be done if I wanted to keep my teeth. I got ready to check out and the lady said "That'll be $3,427. Do you have your card with you?" I asked her what that total was for and she began showing me the list of procedures, none of which had been done. Also included were the high priced items the hygienist had been trying to push off on me. I told her I wasn't letting any one crown my teeth or do root canals until I got a second opinion. She looked hurt. She left and came back and said, "We do have financing available." My insurance lady was on the phone with them and the Aspen clerk was STILL trying to get me to pay cash for procedures that they never did, services I never received, and items (such as the fancy toothbrush) that I have neither asked for, nor received. I have never heard of a place trying to get a person to pay a medical bill in full for services that have not been agreed to and also without filing insurance first, even when they are holding and have made copies of my insurance cards. The whole thing seemed like just a ploy to make money. And the teeth cleaning, which was the only thing I went there for, was never done. By the way, I had a second opinion and did not have the gum disease they rang up the high bill for and I am waiting now my second opinion on the crowns and root canal. I will update this when those are received.

I am so glad that I had the chance to meet such professional people as I did when I visited Aspen Dental. From the moment I walked into the office I got a really good vibe about the office. Everyone was so nice, so professional and above all so interested in my needs as being a patient. Dr. Patel was very informative regarding what was going on with my teeth. He found a problem that the last dentist I saw didn't. Next step, I am starting my dental work with Dr. Patel and the employees at Aspen Dental. I'm looking forward to my new smile and smiling again.

The experience at Aspen Dental was great. My wife and i both got upper and lower dentures. The office staff was really nice and polite. The lab tech looked at an old picture of my wife and made her dentures to to look exactly the way her teeth were in the picture. The dentist was really good and nice. One of the staff members worked off of the clock to help us with our wonderful experience. I would recommend Aspen Dental in Flowood,Ms to all of my friends, family, and anyone else i come across in need of any kind of dental. You can't find a more customer driven dentist office. She explained everything multiple times and smiled throughout. Eye contact, articulate, intelligent, patient first attitude, and ggenuine. She didn't push a treatment plan but laid out what was needed in understandable detail. Young lady in billing was amazing. Put me at ease about what was going to cost a substantial amount to repair all that was needed. She put forth a positive attitude and assured me it was all my decision on the path forward. She carefully provided the details for each issue and provided me information on additional cost saving plans I could look into. A+ excellent bbusiness. Professional, friendly, and customer first .You won't be disappointed .
