Northside Dental Clinic

I recently retired and moved to the Springfield area. I'm so glad GOOGLE led me to Dr. Hayter and his assistant, Tiffany, at this clinic. I have had to have a crown, a tooth extracted and a bridge built in the last 8 weeks (take my advice, DON'T WAIT to have your dental needs addressed.) Realizing I am very anxious about dental work, Tiffany and Dr. Hayter are continually checking in with me during my procedures, "Are you doing ok?" Dr. Hayter is focused on pain management. Dr. Hayter is detail oriented and been fair in charges for services. Tiffany is a cheerful and friendly care giver. She has great technique in her work, communicating what is going on as she completes her work. Tiffany is also noted as having a good team approach, very positive toward the other staff in the clinic. I recommend this clinic, Dr. Hayter and Tiffany without reservation.

I love Northside Dental! I've been going there for years and they are amazing people. Everyone is friendly and always makes you feel comfortable. I've also referred several friends, co-workers and family members who love it!

I have had a fear of Dentist most of my life due to a bad experience when I was a child. I have had a wonderful experiences on every occasion I have had to go . I had to have three teeth capped and even though I was apprehensive the procedures were much easier than I thought they would be and no pain whatsoever . They have a machine that made my tooth the same visit so it was all done the same day no having to go back this was a big plus for people like myself who are uncomfortable in a dentist chair . Dr .Meyer was great I completely trust her with my teeth and I would recommend her to any one she is gentle and kind and very understanding but most importantly she is a great Dentist.

Do NOT go to this clinic if you have an emergency. My husband, a long time patient there, starting having tooth pain that grew increasingly worse over the weekend. By Monday morning he was in excruciating pain and had developed a serious infection. He was turned away by the dentist there because he didn’t have an appointment. He was told to go to a dental Er. The staff gave him the wrong address but he ended up randomly walking into Alan Zinke DDS office and was immediately seen. They took X-rays and gave him a prescription for antibiotics and his staff called around and got him into another dentist for a root canal. A real dentist has compassion and takes care of the needs of those who are suffering. Shame on this clinic for the way they handled my husbands emergency. An infected tooth can be very dangerous. They have no business being a dentist if they can’t deal with emergencies.

Dr. Hayter was probably the most down to earth dentist I have ever dealt with. The appointments were scheduled quickly and on time. Everyone was nice and courteous. The entire office helped put my dental anxiety at ease.

I am typically not one to speak negatively in a public setting, but I feel it is my duty, as a fellow human being who cares about your well-being, to warn you to avoid Northside Dental Clinic on W. Kearney at all costs.
I went in a few months ago for what I thought was a routine wisdom tooth removal. The operation was botched not one, but two times. Pieces of tooth and bone continued to come up out of my gums, and I had to go in three times for the same procedure. On the third procedure, the dental assistant repeatedly jabbed my throat with a wooden tongue depressor to get my numbed and flailing tongue out the way, as I had no control over it to the numbing. These things happen; I understand they are only human and their job is probably more difficult than it looks. The dental assistant repeatedly apologized for jabbing my throat. I hold no ill will toward her.
My beef, however, is with the way the rest of the staff handled the situation afterward. The secretary gave me the wrong person's prescription, some guy named Bill or something. I took it to the pharmacy, hoping to relieve the intense pain that comes with tooth removal and throat jabbing. Upon arrival, I was informed that my prescription was not for Josh Kennedy, so obviously they could not fill it.
Okay, moving on. Whatever. Again, mistakes happen. My throat became so sore that I could barely talk or swallow food for several days. I went to the doctor and was informed that I had a throat infection. There were multiple sores on my throat and mouth, which the doctor said were caused by a foreign object…in all likelihood, the dental procedure.
So, I went back to the dentist with pictures of the sores all over my throat and a doctor note and told them I didn’t want to pay my bill. I figured the least they could do for such a remarkable number of failures would be to forgive my bill.
Even after vowing that they would be permanently losing my business and threatening to tell everyone I know to avoid the place, Northside Dental Clinic is unwilling to budge on this. Apparently their $80 payment means more to them than their future business, their customer service and satisfaction, or their reputation.

I love Northside Dental Clinic. Have been treated by Dr. Hayter for the past few years and would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist. I also want to praise Kristi for her work. I am never unhappy about coming here.

The girls at Northside Dental are awesome! Thank you Maggie for getting me in right away. And Thanks Lauren and Dr. Smith for working on my toothache. Thanks Sam and Mary for always being nice! Always a great experience at Northside Dental.

Using this office has been one bad experience after another. One group will schedule me, then say they cant do anything because I need to see my dentist. Of course they schedule me when he isn't there. Now they scheduled me almost a month away. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I would rather pay to have someone else fix the work than keep giving them chances to do it right.

I have been going here for years. They have great, friendly staff. They always give you all of your options and let you choose the best plan for you. Never trying to push you into expensive treatments, etc. I would recommend them to any one :)
