I shared with hygienist Jess my last few dental visits I was experiencing anxiety and was feeling a little anxious just sitting in the chair before the appointment began. She was very understanding and proceeded with my appointment. At the end of my appointment she took the time to ask me how I was feeling and if the anxiety got the best of me. Because she handled me with such care I did not experience any anxiety. Thank you Jess, and thank you New Jersey Dental.

From the beginning of our visit at the front desk to the end, it was a fantastic experience. Both women at the front desk, were very professional and kind, Alicia our dental hygienist was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain to my daughter how important it is to take care of your teeth, she was super patient and kind, non judge mental which is hard to find. Our dentist (sorry but I forgot her name) was just as sweet and professional. Thank you for such a positive experience. Going to the dentist is stressful as it is, so its nice to have this type of experience. We appreciate you all.

Today was first time at this office and the experience was better then ever. I’ve been having tooth pains for weeks and ended up having to get a root canal. I was so nervous that I was going to be in pain but my dentist ensured me that I would not feel nothing at all and he was absolutely right not even a pitch. This was my first time getting actual work done on my teeth and gotta say this was best. Also everyone that work there were nice great service keep it up jersey dental group !

My daughter recommended this office, and today was my grand daughter and my first visit. Thus far, best experience. Friendly staff, friendly doctor with great bedside manners. The atmosphere in general was very welcoming, friendly and comfortable. I will definitely be going there for a very a long time to come.

On September 30th I had a horrible experience with "Dr" Navpreet Sekhon. During my visit, I paid my $500 hard earned money towards a follow up procedure. I was called back to begin the casting for some bottom partial dentures. I had to address the fact that one of the upper partial dentures I received earlier from her was cutting into my gums and very uncomfortable to use. She had begun to setup for the lower casting and wanted to look at the other one afterwards. When I gave her the problem partial she accidentally dropped it on the floor. I wanted her to pick it up immediately but she wanted to begin the lower casting first. When she finally picked up the partial she assured me that she would disinfect it before trying to adjust the fitting. As I watched her pick it up I also noticed that she sprayed it with a chemical in a spray bottle. The spray bottle contained a chemical for surface cleaning and disinfecting. I looked at the bottle and read the hazardous precautions. It stated that it shouldn't be used for any type of human consumption or products that may enter the human body due to its harmful residue on products for humans. I asked why she did this and she stated that she rinsed it, but she barley ran water over it and briefly set it in some water that was on a counter. This was unprofessional and I stated my concerns and the hazardous warning on the label of the product. I suggested that I should leave and she raised her voice at me and said that I could go with out even apologizing or recognizing her wrong doing and lack of hygienic professionalism. I discussed this with the office manger before leaving and getting my money back. The Office Manager "Erica..." completely understood and deeply apologized for the lack of professionalism on the dentist's behalf. The office manager stated her concerns and said she would talk with the dentist about it. The manager couldn't understand why she didn't wash it thoroughly and rinse it off with the Listerine in the office. I completely agreed and left the building after withdrawing as a client. This is just wrong and I will be following up with legal civil actions against her. Be aware of this dentist if you are assigned to her while there.

Just got off the phone with a woman unsure of her name at the front desk literally at this time and apparently she doesn't like her job, was very rude from the start and got even more rude towards the end. She was already speaking to someone in the background rudely so I'm not sure if that's why she was in a mood. All I was trying to do was give her my info to make a first appointment and I guess also because I accidentally said the wrong number for my date of birth and then corrected it that seemed to annoy her more. Didn't even finish before I told her I'm just hanging up which obviously she wouldn't care anyways who would?, and if she doesn't like her job then don't work there. Unbelievable.

Arrived about 10 minutes late and front desk receptionist was very nice and said she could still fit me in. Everyone was very pleasant from the receptionist to the technician, to the dentist. The dentist was extremely gentle, attentive and ready to address all of my issues. She even replaced the temporary filling that had come out of my tooth right then and there. Great experience, trust me I've been to plenty of dentist offices.

Dr. Clemens should be terminated from this practice immediately for refusing to treat a boy who has autism - literally saying this to both the boy and his mother upon learning of the fact shortly into an otherwise unremarkable visit for a route canal. If the dentist had looked at the child’s chart he’d have known that the boy has autism - as do 1 in 44 American children - and perhaps he could have saved the child and mother the trauma off what unfolded if he’d simply asked a colleague to handle the treatment. I can even picture the conversation:

“Hey, dentist colleague! Yeah, you - the nice new guy around here, ha! Come here for a sec. Can I ask you something? I can’t stand treating kids whose brains aren’t exactly like my own ever-shrinking dysfunctional one. I hear a kid is coming in who needs a route canal ASAP and the whole autism thing is just a dealbreaker for me. Why parents even care about their kids’ teeth when they’re autistic or whatever is beyond me! So, well, everyone knows you’re a much better human being all around than I am - heck, you even thank the mailman everyday! - so would you mind taking this one so that the boy and his mother won’t be traumatized by our encounter? It’s really best for everyone. You do remember what happened the last time I was forced to fix an autistic kid’s teeth, don’t you? You’ll do it? Oh, great! Thank you. Want to go have a smoke with me in the parking lot?”

The dentist asked the mom and boy to leave. Discrimination pure and simple.

Today was my first visit. The hygienist that took care of me was very kind and she seemed very genuine. She was very assuring and knowledgeable. She also was very gentle with cleaning my teeth after we discovered I had sensitive gums. Also, the dentist was very kind and she was also very knowledgeable about my treatment plan and what I needed and wanted to get done. They also found a room for me to breastfeed my child in private. I thought that was going the extra mile and I appreciate them. So fingers crossed that this will be my new dental family after this great first impression.
