Fantastic place, very clean, everyone was so kind to me and I truly appreciated that! I went here for a second opinion because originally I went to Enchanted Hills and Enchanted Hills wanted me to have an expensive deep clean procedure for periodontitis even though I am young and have good hygiene care and I left Enchanted Hills very confused and frustrated as they did not explain anything well to me. I went to Dr. Cowden's practice as he had great ratings and I am so glad I went to him! Jonie, the hygenist, was fantastic and she answered all my questions very well and was great about patient education. Jonie was also very gentle with the probing too as Enchanted Hills was not gentle at all. After going to them, they told me I just had slight gingivitis but no bone loss and no cavity and that no expensive procedure was warranted. Dr. Cowden was great as well! They both answered all my questions and I truly appreciated the kindness they both showed me and the front desk was so kind too! I definitely recommend Cowden's Family Dental! Thank you again!

So I give a 5 star for staff they are as friendly as one can be. Honestly I don't know why so much 5 star ratings. The dentist himself is not attentive. When he arrives in the room examines you then takes off youre not knowing the follow up plan till his techs come in. The technology they use is pretty outdated and I was asked to do a review from the hygienist. I am pretty picky when it comes to my teeth and choosing doctors, being friendly does not cut it. You must be knowledgeable. I had about 10 cavities due to an underlying disease I have. I was told I didn't have no cavities when my mouth was in complete pain. I know what cavities feel like and he didn't do any treatment for me also i had a problem with a few teeth pulled and he charged me 35 bucks just to talk about it for 5 minutes something I should have Googled in that case. If you read all the reviews its mostly for friendliness not for good dental service. I wasn't pleased and wasn't gonna give a 5 start because the tech asked me to

An all around absolute best experience. Dr. Cowden has put together the perfect team for an enjoyable dental experience. Reception is always happy to see you, Cheryl the hygienist is careful and thoughtful, Holly is a pleasure to close out business with and Dr. Cowden is bar none the most considerate and willing advocate in your best health. They couldn’t find my appointment in the system, and I showed them the reminder card they had provided me with showing I did have an appointment . They talked to the dentist and said they could see me but it would be awhile. I waited 50 minutes and asked how much longer it would be. Unfortunately I had to leave to pickup my daughter from daycare. I’m extremely disappointed I took off 3 hours from work to not be seen.

I saw Dr. Thompson and Tanya today for my cleaning. They were both very kind and friendly. Tanya took her time to educate me and gave me good suggestions to help my oral health as she cleaned my teeth. The office staff is nice as well.

I had been driving up to Santa Fe to see a wonderful dentist when someone in the neighborhood told me how much they liked Dr. Cowden and how clean his office was. I had just had to cancel an appointment in Santa Fe because of a conflict in my schedule. Fortunately, Dr. Cowden's office was able to get me in quickly and I liked everyone right away. This is my second year and I've been very pleased with my experiences. I'm so grateful to not have to drive so far!

I've been going to Dr. Cowden for several years now. I was so impressed that now he is the dentist for my whole family...grandchildren included. Dr. Cowden and his staff, from the women at the front desk to the hygienists in back are always professional, kind, call you by name and make you feel comfortable. Dr. Cowden is the best dentist I have ever had and I highly recommend he and his office to everyone.

Love em. Even though I moved farther away and it's a 25 minute drive, I've kept them as my dentist. Highest caliber kind of office. Dr. Cowden's an ace and an upstanding guy, and everybody who works there is polite, casual and professional.
