Today I went to East Charlotte dental to pick up a set of top partials, and my experience was absolutely amazing! The staff is genuinely friendly the entire staff makes you feel welcome and make you feel relaxed, and I have created such a special bond with every last one of them.

I scheduled a new patient appt for my 19 year old daughter and told the receptionist she needed an exam because her wisdom teeth are coming in and she’d also need cleaning. They scheduled her at 4pm, did the exam and told her they couldn’t clean her teeth because they were about to close. My complaint is why wasn’t this expressed during the call so another appointment time could’ve been scheduled that would’ve allowed for both services to be completed. My daughter took off from work for this appointment only for enough to be done to file on our insurance. I expressed my complaint on a vm and received a message saying I should’ve been there with her.
I’ve only dealt with them on the phone but definitely won’t be making another appointment for any of my family members. The dentist could be great but all I have to go on is the lack of communication from their front office staff.

Dr. Byrd is a great dentist. Very knowledgeable and courteous. They also have a great staff. Latisha and Darien are very personable and sweet. If you are in Charlotte I highly recommend Dr. Byrd.

The staff there is so awesome. Latisha and Darien really made me feel comfortable with helping me schedule my kids and client’s appointments.I definitely would recommend this dental office with anyone who would need any great dental work done!

I spoke to a keyona this morning ( unsure of how to spell it) either way this morning I call bright and early to inform them that i wound not be able to make the appointment due to financial issues she says oh this will affect you negative if you don’t make the appointment cause your calling to cancel on the same day, you become a person that can’t make appointments because of this ( this is the first time I would be rescheduling by the way in addition I waited 2 months for this appointment) keyona did not address my issue at hand with helping with my request nor did she show any empathy or concern. I waited a long time and am very disappointed that I had to reschedule let alone speak to someone who could have not cared less about what I was saying you could have helped me with my immediate issue and the advise me of the by the way in regards cancelling appointments you never know what people are going through FYI you should treat the people paying you with insurance/cash whatever the form is better because of the people you have a job period. I told her I did not want to speak with her anymore to get me someone else she placed me on hold and never came back. I will be going to another dentist office I’m one less person that they have to worry about I prefer to spend my money somewhere else with better customer service and a more caring and concerned staff you can obviously tell it’s all about the money here businesses like this do not last long especially when your working with people
I addition I never gave them a hard time when they had me in their system saying that they had done work on my mouth before the had on paper work that I had three fillings with them ( they have only done 1 on me ever) they were trying to get money from for a service that was not completed also they overbook you have an appointment and I waited for almost a hour before they seen me then afterwards when I’m trying to pay for the service I received. They were holding me up for service that I never received I was literally going back and forth about the fact that they obviously had my chart mixed up terrible service the dentist did good on the ONE FILLING I GOT

My dad had a painful root canal last year. So when he moved to Charlotte he was very nervous. Luckily the staff at Friendly Dental knew how to make him relax and feel comfortable. He’s 75 years old!!!
