During these unprecedented times of a pandemic, businesses limiting their hours and open days, Ideal Dentist was not only open but happily fit me in the schedule going into a weekend. Upon arrival, the dental assistant was extremely welcoming and compassionate to my concerns and pain level on this last minute appointment. I explained how I just moved to Dallas, my dentist of 11 years in Houston was scheduled to do an implant on Monday and I just went in to see if he could extract the tooth to relieve the pain. He said it was not necessary and after doing an X-ray he suggested grinding the tooth down to keep from hitting on other teeth and that would bring relief until my implant procedure on Monday. He was considerate to my implant dentist knowing extraction and prep was preferred the same day.
He advised antibiotics until then with ibuprofen and sent me on my way. The checkout was easy and very friendly. This was the kindest and easiest dental experience I have ever had. Highly recommend. I am now pain free:)

Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. most people hate going to the dentist to have a bunch of tools and hands put in their mouth. Ideal Dental Uptown makes this experience very tolerable and enjoyable. conversation is great and they actually care about your health and well being. they were a little bit busy during my first visit but they made sure that they got me in and out as quickly as they could so that i could get back to the office. i have already recommended them and will continue to recommend them when i am asked where i have my dental work done. The best part about my experience was the amount of times i was told that i have beautiful teeth. Thanks Ideal Dental Uptown!

My visit to Ideal dental this morning was my first dental visit in over 4 years. I have pretty good teeth and haven't had problems in the past, but since it had been so long, I was expecting the worst. Ideal Dental did a great job of checking me out and getting me all cleaned up and back on track. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was called Diana and she was especially good. Billing was easy, too. The staff explained my options clearly and I left feeling like I paid a fair price for outstanding service. The visit was so easy and the cost so reasonable that I will not be skipping any more dental appointments.
** Update November 2017: I'm still a patient here, and still just as pleased. I had my teeth whitened last year. It hurt. (A lot.) Not during, after. But I like the result, and they give me whitening gel at every visit for maintenance and don't charge me. This place is great. Some people complain about the cost of a first visit, especially if they haven't been to a dentist in a long time, and I get it. No one likes to spend a couple hundred on something they haven't budgeted for... but these are your teeth! And when was the last time you heard someone complain about the cost of a pedicure? or a good haircut? Expect to pay more up front if you've been neglecting your teeth for awhile (like I was), and once you're back on track, the cost really is minimal. I'd write it here but I honestly can't even remember what I pay because the cost of a cleaning and a check-up is so reasonable. I do a lot more damage down the street at Whole Foods.

Who would have thought that a trip to the dentist would be an incredible experience?! Tamara, at the front desk, was extremely pleasant and informative about my insurance. Dr. Mugianto was so nice and explained everything to me thoroughly . Carrie, the hygienist, took very good care of me and made me feel comfortable during my treatment. Overall, my entire time at Ideal Dental was exceptional. The whole staff was kind and well educated in their area of expertise. I would highly recommended this office for all of your dental needs.

The staff here was ultra pleasant, with amazing bedside manor.
They made sure to not just tell me about my teeth but educate me about my dental health as a whole.
All the fear and anxiety I held from the past, was melted away by the wonderful treatment I received.

Ideal Dental of Uptown made me feel comfortable and safe during my visit. Going to the dentist during this pandemic is a new experience for me and I'm sure for many others. The office is locked so you have to call when you get there, wait in your vehicle, and someone from the office will come out and they take your temperature and ask questions related to COVID-19. I came in as a new patient and they gave me a very detailed description of my treatment plan. I absolutely loved my dental assistant Martin and my dentist Dr. Fonvile is just superb! He told me exactly what I needed done to my teeth. Victoria the receptionist went over my treatment and the costs of everything. I look forward to my next dental visit at Ideal Dental of Uptown. I really did enjoy my 1st experience here and I highly recommend!!!

Everybody at Ideal Dental Uptown is so great! They're always friendly and courteous, and they really work to fit you in to their schedule. Saturday hours are great, they can even schedule surgery on a Saturday. I've gone in for cleanings and wisdom teeth extraction, and everything has been wonderful. I definitely recommend them!
