I wasn’t happy with my current dental office so I saw a commercial for Dr Castro and decided to make an appointment there. I checked in and completed my paperwork. While I was filling out my paperwork Dr Castro came to reception area to give condolences to a patient’s family for their loss. Right away I was impressed because I’ve never seen that before. My daughters and I were referred to Dr. Castro from a family member. We went in for a routine 6 month cleaning. I gave them my insurance ahead of time to ensure that we were considered in network. Come to find out 6 months later that we were not. Not only are they demanding I pay over $600 for a routine cleaning, but they were not willing to even work with me to reduce the amount. Why did they not look to see if my insurance was in network ahead of time when I made the appointment well in advance and gave them my insurance? That is poor service. They did not even bother to call me even after they learned the insurance would not cover it 100%. All I got was a letter in the mail two months later. Then two months later another letter. When I finally got them on the phone after calling several times. I pleaded with them asking why they didn't call me or even let me know ahead of time when I made the appointment. I asked them to help reduce the amount. Then a few weeks later they send me another letter stating they would not work with me and I had to pay. Honestly, I have never been dealt with so poorly. Do not go to them! They are unreasonable, have poor customer service and charge way too much for services!
