We have been going there for over 10 years and service has been good. But lately we have had several appointments cancelled or rescheduled. This last time it involved a serious procedure that could not wait and we were given a referral to another practice. We've been loyal patients for many years and expected more from this practice.

If I’d had the time and money to sue this place, I would have. Two years ago I came here with wisdom tooth pain. Dr. Addams suggested I remove all four teeth, and said that he could do the procedure, rather than going to an oral surgeon. I was told the cheapest anesthetic would be fine, and so I went with it, trying to save money and not knowing any better. The procedure went horribly. I was fully alert and conscious for the whole thing, my teeth broke and fractured and my sinus cavity was punctured. It went so poorly that they decided to leave the last tooth in and not complete the procedure. I was given very general aftercare instructions and a single sheet with almost no information on it. When I developed an infection a week later, I came in crying from the pain and was met with a condescending, almost amused attitude from the entire staff. I was furious and hurt. I was prescribed antibiotics that didn’t seem to help. Ice didn’t help, the pain meds didn’t help, no suggestions seemed to work. The infection got worse and worse, and I choose to consult a dental surgeon, who was relieved I had come in. He cleaned up the wounds and told me that the infection was dangerous, and could have potentially been life threatening. I lost my job due to all of the time I had to take off due to complications. At the end of all that, I still was saddled with a $700 bill. I called explaining my situation and $40 was taken off as a courtesy. I’m sickened that I have to pay them anything. It seems others have had good experiences here, but be wary.

6/22/21 New patient with GAF&CD l am a "Global Traveler". Before the end of 2019 l was out of the U.S. more than in the country. l have experienced dental or medical care in a few countries: Italy, UAE, Spain, Diego Garcia. The GAF&CD practice is most impressive they represent the real spirit of the RVA. A place that takes great pride in their mission to help others. The Hygienist Bethany dressed professionally, very skilled, efficient, yet, gentle, KIND & soft spoken. Dr. Matthew Graham is all the above with the best personality and the patience that can only be defined as Biblical. Dr. Graham's assistant Brooke a professional, caring, skilled person with so much empathy that it could of filled the room. The receptionists & insurance specialists are professional and very friendly. All in all this is an A++ dental practice.

Excellent dental practice, but schedule challenged. I've walked out more than once, today for the last time. I drove 40 minutes in rush hour traffic to make an 8am appointment, but my hygienist was in a meeting with the office manager and couldn't take me on time. I now have a new dental provider for the first time in many years.

I've been going to Grove Ave. for years. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to Dr. Adams and his entire staff! He has a great sense of humor (thank GOD) and is so patient with me. His staff goes above and beyond to help in anyway possible. Jenny, in particular, is always willing to take my calls, help me with my insurance questions and recently listened to me cry my eyes on the phone when I lost a back tooth while out of town on business.
