We had a billing issue one time when paying cash for service. Their billing system is confusing and they give "estimates" then bill insurance and charge a balance. I simply do not like this method, but it is not enough for me to give them one less star in my review.
The entire staff, hygienists, dentists and front office alike are all patient oriented and professional. I am equally comfortable in there as is the rest of my family. Each dentist I have seen is great, Dr. Adams, Dr. Staas and Dr. Beck. All great. Overall, I love this practice. I would highly recommend them.

My husband has been going for almost 10 years now and highly recommended Dr. Stass. My cleaning and filling appointments were exactly what I expected. Hygienist was very thorough, checking in with me frequently to make sure I was doing ok. When Dr. S replaced my filling, I did not feel a thing and my tooth sensitivity went away immediately. My kids both had good experiences getting their cleanings as well. I highly recommend this practice!

My wife made an appointment over the phone where she was told that her insurance was accepted. She brought her insurance card in with her during her appointment and they performed a routine cleaning and a few x-rays. She called to schedule a follow-up, and she was notified for the FIRST TIME that her insurance would NOT be accepted and that she was liable for several HUNDRED dollars, all for routine preventative procedures.
This is the first health care provider that provided any type of service before verifying whether or not our insurance was accepted. The phone call my wife had when she scheduled was misleading.
The office manager notified us that “we are responsible for knowing our insurance,” and offered to “work with us,” but it amounted to less than $170 in a discount. BEWARE - you may end up with a nasty bill if you go here!

I am a retired 73 year old and have been a patient of this practice for at least 4-5 years. I have been very happy with Dr. Epperly. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment and the first thing said to me was "do you have insurance?" Not "are you having a dental problem?" or even "how are you?" I gave her all my insurance information and was told they can use both carriers (one in network and one out of network) and she scheduled my appointment. This morning I arrived for my appointment. I cheerfuly greeted the receptionist and was asked for my insurance cards. She looked at them and said we do not take these. They are HMOs and we do not take HMOs. You will have to pay for everything out of pocket. I told her I can't do that and her response was dead silence. She just stood there expressionless. Neither she nor her co-worker said a word. The fact that I was scheduled for a probable root canal and an extraction apparently meant little to them. Receving no response, I politely said thank you and again waited for a response. Again stares and dead silence so I walked out. I would like to continue to see Dr. Epperly but I do not understand why the insurance situation has to be kept such a mystery. Even the practice website has no information about which carriers they are in-network with. I obtained one of the policies specifically because I was told online that this practice accepted this policy.

As a current Invisalign patient, I spend a good amount of time in Dr. Adam's chair. He has a great personality and is very knowledgeable. The staff is very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend his office.
