Charles Kim Dentistry - Downtown Tacoma Dentist

Love Dr. Charlie! I met him when he was working at Emergency Dental in Tacoma and followed him to this practice when it opened. He is up to date on modern dentistry practices and really puts his all in giving his patients the best care!

First off I wanted to say if you have any dental anxiety Dr. Charles is the dentist you want to see . He is so gentle and caring . He doesn't overwhelm with a bunch of dental words but keeps things simple and understandable. You won't be just another patient for him but he checks on you the next day after you get work done. Also on top of that , this us the most beautiful medical office I've ever been to with a view of the city .
I would definitely recommend him to my close ones !

Dr. Kim and Christi did a great job communicating what they were doing/seeing during the exam, were transparent about covered procedures and costs, and shared a lot of general dental knowledge that helped me understand the cause of my tooth and gum concerns.

I visited Dr Kim for the first time with a dental emergency. He addressed and healed my problem with friendliness, effectiveness, and professionalism.
I decided to see him beyond that healing and go through the denture process. He guided me through this flawlessly and the final result was a perfect fit.
I can honestly say that he is the best dentist I have ever dealt with.
His friendly and professional demeanor is relaxing and inspires confidence. His work is without fault and I look forward to my appointments.
He has a knowledgeable and friendly staff and the entire office makes me feel comfortable and confident.
I highly recommend Dr Kim to anyone with any dental needs.

I can’t describe enough just how welcoming and friendly everyone was. It had been years since I’d visited a dentist and needless to say, I was very nervous, but the folks at Charles Kim Dentistry made my experience beyond terrific. Vanessa was very clear and responsive through email in assisting with setting up my appointment. Maddie, Christy, and Charlie were very easy to talk to and provided so much information without the intimidation I’ve experienced in other offices. Can’t wait to go back!

One not being use to going to a dentist it’s a little scary but Dr. Kim and the team make my visits easy to come to. Thank you for being the best! I LOVE DR CHARLIE and his staff! Everyone is so kind and welcoming. They all talk to you and treat you like family. I feel so welcomed every time I visit!

I’ve been here a few times for cleanings, x-rays, general check ups. I always come out feeling refreshed and clean. I was so excited to come back as I booked a month early.

Dr. Charlie provides the latest technology in his tools. It’s a very modern workplace with a nice view of Tacoma. The chair is comfortable, the tools used are practically painless. Dr. Kim and Shalece always make sure you are in good hands and are obviously skilled in their profession.

They both demonstrate their work in appropriate cleaning, never make you feel guilty (I have the problem with other dentists) as they are absolutely open and honest with their care. They are always open for questions or discussion, always explaining their detail in work, ensuring all is well and taken care of.

I honestly have no complaints. Everyone here is happy to be there, they demonstrate it in their professional attire and manners, especially Dr. Charlie, I love his sense in style! I already can’t wait for my next cleaning! Thank you Dr. Charlie and Shalece and Cat for delivering outstanding client care and satisfaction every time!

If you have ever had a bad dental experience this place will defiantly get that bad taste out of your mouth. Dr. Kim and his team are not your typical dental office. He makes sure to go above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable as possible, making your wants/needs his top priority. While getting a treatment I must have made a facial expression showing some sort of discomfort (which was not intentional and must have felt something) Dr. Kim immediately stopped everything and proceed to add some more anesthetic. I did not feel any discomfort or pain at all through out the rest of the procedure. If your looking for a dentist look no further.

The clinic was insanely beautiful. This was also the first time a dentist asked me what my goals were. For me, Dr. Kim redefined what a dentist appointment should be. Maddie, the dental assistant, could not have been more pleasant. 11/10 would recommend!

Clean, friendly, professional, and efficient. Transparency is key in this office and they communicate what is going on in your mouth very well. Not to mention, the office is gorgeous, with a great view, and the music really set a calm mood.

I hate the dentist, waited for over 3 years until finding this gem. Glad to have found a fit and ease the anxiety of getting my teeth cleaned.
