I have been a patient here ever since Doc B opened his business..15 years maybe more. Warm, friendly and responsive staff...and Doc is best dentist I have ever been to!! Highly recommend.

I love, love, love Dentristry of Old Town Scottsdale. I always loathed going to the dentist due to really bad childhood experiences. After meeting Dr. Brittain and his staff all my negative feelings went away. He is kind and caring and top notch in his field. I couldn't ask for a better dentist to entrust the care of my teeth.

Everyone, truly everyone, at Dentistry of Old Town Scottsdale is professional, caring, and great at their job. I never like the ache that arrives after visiting for tooth repair; but aside from that I really like my visits there!

My experience at the Dentistry of Old Town Scottsdale has been nothing short of amazing. The staff is professional, friendly, and well-trained. Dr. Brittain's bedside manner is impeccable. As long as they're in business, I will not go to any other dentist.

Although my review is going to run contrary to the high amount of positive reviews on this site, I would like everybody to pay close attention to what I have to say.

I had a terrible toothache and I was sure it needed to be extracted. I have insurance through AHCCCS due to my unemployment as a disabled individual.

My first (and last) experience with this office was dreadful. I was referred to their office by my insurance company so I felt assured through referral that things would go great. I was wrong.

My situation was that I had experienced severe toothache and pounding headache for the previous week - reluctant to go to the dentist due to my fear of them and a low threshold for pain.

My initial contact with the office was with Shay on the phone - she was very pleasant and the only professional person I encountered during my whole visit at Old Town Dentistry.

My first encounter with the nurse who took me back to the room was pleasant - not good not bad. She professionally took my information and why I was there. Took some x-rays, fine. Then she retrieved the doctor, Dr. Brandon Brittain.

We discussed my situation and came to an agreement on what needed to be done. Honestly, my problem with the office came from the terrible experience with the procedure.

He started off with numbing my mouth, of course. I guess it was enough but once he started the procedure it became apparent that the pain was quite intense due to my screaming on three separate occasions - which seemed to bother Dr Britton as he said something to the effect that I was bothering his ears with my screams. Excuse me, but I was experiencing a lot of pain and perhaps at that point the doctor would address that and be concerned that I was screaming so much. Obviously not, as he continued with the procedure and in spite of my screams of pain. Regardless of my high level of pain, we finally finished the procedure. During the procedure I tried to indicate to him that I felt a movement and pain in the bones throughout the upper level of my mouth that didn't seem to be normal. I felt he blew off my concerns. Now, this is the following day and I am still experiencing pain in my mouth at the adjoining teeth to the extraction and all of my upper roof. As Dr Britton does not believe in pain medication and told me to rotate between ibuprofen and acetaminophen - which I did do - I could not sleep the entire night because the level of pain was so high.

Thank God that was over, but as I proceeded to check out - again I encountered a indifference from the front office lady who was checking me out. I could not wait to get out of there fast enough.

Pay attention to my warning. I don't believe that they truly care about your comfort or care, at least in my experience. You have been warned and informed.

UPDATE: I was contacted by the office and they were aware of my concerns and comfort level. I have to say I was happy with their follow up to address my concerns. But I approach with caution.

I’m pleased to give Dentistry of old town 5 stars. Their staff is truly very friendly and I was greeted promptly. I didn’t feel like I was at (dun dun dun) “The Dentist!” I felt like I was at a friends house after a short while. But at the same time, they were very professional.

The office, and the whole building is nice, and well kept. Also it’s especially easy to locate.

If you’re lucky, the big boss will see you himself, and go over your xrays, and other dentistry vernacular you may not understand; however upon request he/they will put those terms into simple english. You know, so you can understand.

If you’re in Scottsdale and you’ve got to see a dentist, go here. Because if you go anywhere else, well....then you didn’t go here.

I have been using Dentistry of Old Town Scottsdale for about two years. They are friendly, professional and they have always been flexible in scheduling appointments, and planning work to be done so that I could maximize my insurance coverage.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Brittain and his staff!

Dental anxiety: I want to speak on this because because I have this! When I 1st came to see Dr. Brittian I told him I’ve had some bad experience and of course he asked me what happen. I told him my history. Dr. Brittian said well you won’t have that here (in a nice way - not being smart, rude or funny) he said I will talk you through this - he even let my husband hold my hand. Yes yes I am that scared of the dentist!! Next thing you know Dr. Brittian is like ok all done!! Me: that’s it?!! Dr.B: that’s it! I tell you if you have any type of dental anxiety you just let the staff know and they will take really good care of you I promise!! I trust only Dr. Brittian now! Try him out because not only did he fix a cavity but he also did my crown. No more anxiety and I feel comfortable when I come to the dentist.
