My son had an appointment at 10 on a card, when he got there not on the books but they could get him in at 11. When I got there he was not on the books for 11 either. I took time off work to go with him and when I told the receptionist, she stated that she was checking his insurance and since I didn't have an appointment I would have to wait out in the car. I waited in the car until 12:45 when he finally came out. The dentist finally got to him at 12:30, did not know what he was in for and since the insurance would not pay for a deep cleaning they did a regular one that lasted 5-10 minutes. My personal dentist takes at least an hour to do a regular cleaning so they basically did nothing and we wasted 2 1/2 hrs. I would like to know what they charged the insurance company as it was definitely over charged. Looking for another dentist.

I am updating my previous review to reflect the current situation, apparently sometime after May Western Dental lost their orthodontist, my child has had braces for months now with nobody to continue his care. I was told not to mess with this company that they would screw me over and I didn’t listen and now I wish I would have. Because now I’m stuck with braces on a child and no recourse. Simply stating that you will look into the matter does not help the situation. We need something done like now, no actually like yesterday!

While it might take a long time to get in and sometimes it seems like it might take forever to get the paperwork rolling especially when you’re working with Medi-Cal, the people in that office are very caring and considerate. I would recommend them on just that alone. I really feel like they are looking out for my son and his dental care.

Cody, Kenia and Monica were very kind and attentive and get 5 out of 5 starts!!!! Cody was training Kenia. His attention to detail in training Kenia as well as explanation of the process with me was clear, professional & informative. He seems to care very much about the comfort of the patient. Monica explained in great detail what was needed for each X-ray taken to ensure I had an optimal comfort level. The 3 star review is due to the wait time, overall process and lack of organization from the top. Appointment for exam and cleaning was 8:30am and I didn’t get out of there until 12:30. I had to reschedule 3 times because of their error or staffing. If you have an appointment, it is imperative to block out your entire day because of their gross lack of time management. This has been Western Dental’s MO for over 20 years. It’s a shame they can’t do better.
