Our family had been treated by the same dentist for 25yrs- After relocating to Colorado Springs I thought I would never find another dentist like him, one who I could trust with my complicated dental issues.
My first attempt seeking a new dentist, I found Dr Keen. I felt at ease as soon as I walked into her office, by the way I was greeted at the front desk and how I was set up in the exam room- I found everyone very pleasant and proficient with their position in delivering my care. It then felt especially comforting when Dr Keen walked in to introduce herself. Immediately disarming me with pleasant conversation Dr Keen sat next to me to listen to my concerns. She responded to every concern, prioritizing each problem while setting a plan toward a solution. She focuses on solving one problem at a time even if it means involving another practice for its specialty. Dr Keen is honest and straight forward. I find her to be brilliant and I totally trust her to be my new dentist. I admire her work ethic as a healthcare provider of dental medicine. Being an RN and my husband an MD, we've been around healthcare professionals of all sorts for many years, we give Dr Keen and her team our Vote of Confidence 100%.

The office is attractive, the staff is professional and very pleasant. I had a regular teeth cleaning and check up performed at my dental appointment. The dental hygienist was great and fun to work with and so is Dr Keen. They all treated me very well. I am so glad i found this dental office.

Getting my dental care from South Springs Dental Group (SSDG) has been a pleasure. I would even go as far as to say fun! That's crazy for a dental office, right? Not these guys. I have found them to be approachable, friendly and highly competent, from the call to set up the appointment, to the dental hygienist Dawn, to Dr. Keen going over my teeth x-rays and talking with me each time. Plus, I take pride in my dental care including brushing my teeth at work after lunch, and daily flossing. That seems to have paid off because at each 6 months Dawn comments that I'm doing a good job caring for my teeth. I would highly recommend SSDG.

Don’t normally review anything but this place is worth it. I’ve never had such a phenomenal experience at the dentist. They were very considerate about the things I was worried about. Super friendly and welcoming. Extremely helpful and thorough. Best place I’ve been for sure!

I have had an on-going problem with some of the office staff being unprofessional and their procedures inconsistent. Normally, before appointments I receive multiple text messages regarding upcoming appointments, almost to the annoying level. So today, I was surprised to get a phone call 38 minutes after my son's appointment saying we missed an appointment. When I called to apologize I was told I would have a $50 "no show" fee. So when I let her know I did not receive the standard reminders I have come to rely on, I was met with condescending bordering on disrespectful comments like..."Our texts are a courtesy, not a requirement," and "I asked all our other patients today and they all received their reminders." Then she attempted to change the subject to tell me I have a $30.00ish credit and my fee will only be $20ish. Umm, commonsense tells me the fee is still $50.00 regardless of the credit!! And why do I have this credit? And if so, why am I just hearing about It? So, she then looked into the computer system and did, in fact, see that my reminders were turned off by them. This was proceded by blaming someone else for this error followed by blaming this third party who operates this system. No apology...just excuses. To top it off, in a sarcastic tone, she said she would be happy to drop the charge, but that I was just attempting to get out of paying the $50.00. The juvenile behavior was astounding! This was my first time missing a medical appointment here or ever. I will be taking my family's business elsewhere and writing a letter to not only the dentists at all locations, but to the insurance company as well. After reading other reviews here, and on other sites, I can see I am not the only one to have this type of issue.

Hygienists are fine. No complaints there.

Regarding dental work, I have had a different doc every time. They have differing assessments and treatment recommendations, which is very confusing. For example, the first doc I saw said I needed to have a few fillings replaced. What she didn't know was that they were only 6 months old. I declined the work (office staff gave me a hard time) and when I came back six months later a different doc said I didn't need them replaced. I understand there are differing opinions within the profession, it is just confusing to the patient. This new business model doesn't work for me. I miss the days where you see the same dentist and staff really knows you and treats you well.

Update: I am a military spouse and missed the appointment because the packing company did not finish the pack out on Monday. They were supposed to be done on Friday and certainly by Monday. I had no way of anticipating this by Friday to allow for the 48 cancelation window. Yes, I did forget (and hubby was working), but had I realized the policy, I would have never had allowed the front office to pressure me into scheduling the work. The front office staff was well aware of my circumstances and still shamed me. Dr. Keen would never have responsed this way, then again, I think their business strategy is to have a good cop bad cop thing going. As far as what you do for me, please mail my credit to my current address and it will forward. Thank you.

July Update: $50 no show charge mailed to me. Not surprising. I will pay because now I don't trust that they won't send this collections if I don't. Money isn't the issue anyway. It is the principle of the matter for me.

Leslie is the best person that I have ever had at leaning my teeth. She was very professional and caring during the whole procedure. She is truly outstanding at this dental office.

I had an excellent experience at South Springs Dental Group. The office is conviently located on South Powers. It is super clean and easy to make appointments and be seen. They take adults and children, which is nice. I can take my kids and self to the same place. Dr. Keen is really down to earth and her fun personalitly put me at ease. The front office and DA staff are excellent as well. I would highly recommend this dental office. They also except Tricare which is great because we are a military family.

Scheduled my appointment for 8:00am, and was told to arrive at 7:40 am for check-in. Got there was greeted by no one had to call to get someone up front to check me in. I then proceeded with my paper work, and when I had a question went back up front and again no one was there. When I called out a man came out and said "Excuse me we're trying to have a meeting! We will get to you and then he checked the clock and said at 8 when we're done and open. We're not ignoring you.". Then he just walked off. Well maybe don't schedule patients when you need to have "meetings". Plan accordingly. Also the way they bill is unethical. Please read all of the paperwork that is given to you. If they are a preferred clinic through your insurance they can not charge you for services before they have billed your insurance. Horrible customer service, as well as ethical practices. I left. I will have my time wasted.

I had a filling replaced that ended up needing a root canal and crown placed. Dr. Keen and the staff were great. I was able to get everything done at this location and id not have to go to a separate oral surgeon. They did a wonderful job and made my visit much easier. I have no problems at all from the procedure.
