Before you read this review I want to make it clear that I understand that most bad reviews are from people that sometimes can never be satisified. I did give Aspen the benefit of the doubt and used them for 2 consecutive annual dental plans so this is not just a one time bad feeling. Aspen dental is probably one of the worst example of the bait and switch con. They always get you to talk with an office manager before your visit and you have to pay before service is provided and once you agree to the price, they do the work and bill you for more. They always have a reason for the difference in price and you cannot convince them otherwise. Most dentists tell you what the cost of a service will be then perform the service and you pay the agreed price. I have a prepaid plan that pays for me to have 2 checkups and cleanings per year and it takes almost that long to get the appointments to get the work done, then I was told it would cost me $130 for a cleaning that was part of my plan. I'm changing to a different provider as no one could be worse than Aspen so anything will be an improvement. Be careful when you agree on a procedure and try to get it as a firm price guranteed in writing. Good luck if you decide to go there.

So clean and efficient! The flow of the office was so smooth and fluent! Learned a lot that I didn’t know and was never told about my teeth and gums. A wealth of information!

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TREATMENT PLAN AND BILL & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

They had incorrect information (codes and negotiated rates) in their system for my insurance. Despite numerous calls from my insurance company to them informing them of the correct codes, rates, and co-pays, they still did not adjust their system. In fact, because of this, coupled with their 100% pay policy for oral surgeon at the time of MAKING the appointment, I overpaid by almost $700. It took almost 2.5 months to have a refund issued and we are on 3 months for them to correct a billing issue.

Extremely poor customer service, phone calls to the office manager and assistant office manager and regional manager go un returned for days, emails take a week or longer for replies. If you have a billing question or insurance question, you must call the local number and they office manager is always busy and fails to return your call and when he does call or email back, the inquiry is sent to the billing department. The dentist owns the practice, however, the management aspect is performed by Aspen Dental Management Inc.

Billing and insurance issues seem to be a recurring them. A quick Google search shows numerous complaints and successful lawsuits. I just filed a Billing Compliance and Grievance with my insurance company to assist in resolution of the matter. As the ADMI Regional Manager appears to be non-responsive to the matter.

Not brought back till 15 minutes after appointment time. Made the appointment because a crown came off, just need that dealt with. They wanted to do all new patient work up. When I said lets just get this fixed first, they get rude with me and hand me a paper saying this will be what it will cost you for today. YOU HAVEN'T EVEN LOOKED AT ME!!!!!!!! How do you know what shape my tooth is in that lost the crown???.

I had first appointment of the day at 8 am. But I waited 1 hour. They said they double appointment with other person at same time. First, how can you double appointment in front of computer? Second, why did you treat me second? I am very mad because the other person came after me and they treated him first. I am sure my appointment also made first. It only take 20 minutes for treating my teeth and they let me wait for the other person's an hour work. I don't want to make an assumption. You discriminated me because I am women, I am Asia and I am not your friend.

The dentist and here staff were extremely nice and they made my experience there great. I had previously read some not so great reviews so I was skeptical walking in but everything went fine. My only complaint was that my appointment was at 11:45 and I was not seen until 12:10.

Same day wisdom tooth extraction went well, wound is already clotting after only an hour. I'm sorry I forgot the attendants names, but they were all very awesome while I was in excrutiating pain. Dr. Agrawal was honest about the difficulty of the removal and apologized for taking an extra few stabs, but frankly I think he was being modest. I was never once inconvenienced during the whole procedure. He was very confident. As someone who uses his hands for work myself, I can tell you I believe he knew exactly what he was doing at every step. I prefer local businesses but it is so hard to get in nowadays without paying an arm and a leg, and Aspen was actually the best priced. I had an x-ray from my local dentist, Dr. Tran, who also deserves a mention along with her staff Lynn, and most places didn't really care about that, kind of blew me off. But Aspen actually respected the fact that I was paying cash, had already shelled out for an x-ray, and was in a lot of pain. I'll be keeping my local dentist but recommending that she refer to Aspen, and telling my friends to go there as well.
