Edited to add: sadly… even after making this well thought out post, and their staff commenting for the public to see…. I was not contacted. I have chosen not to contact them directly because honestly… it’s embarrassing. I do NOT have the funds to correct what has been done. I never smile anymore where anyone can see my teeth. It is awful. I will post a picture below if I am able.

I couldn’t be more disappointed about my outcome that was from this dentist. I have thought a very long time (months) before I decided to write a review because I NEVER ever have posted a negative review, anywhere so let me be as specific as I can be.

Their office staff and hygienist (whom I actually had the most interaction with) was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! They were patient, kind, willing to help me space out payments, etc. Nothing but high praise for them and I definitely believe it reflects well on the actual dentist.

However, as I stated initially, the final product literally makes me sad every single day.

I have a front tooth that was damaged as a young child. I had a root canal and crown placed at age 8, then a replacement crown at at 18. These served me well (by other dentists) until age 42 when I unfortunately got an abscess even though I had had a root canal.

They sent me to another dentist (endodontist; the kind that does those sorts of procedures) and he did his job well.

I came back when that was completed to then get my now permanent front tooth set in place. I was so excited. I used THEIR recommended whitening products to ensure my own teeth were ready for a new crown on the necessary one & have as white of teeth as I could at age 43. They whitened well and we picked out one of the whitest crowns. Again…I couldn’t have been more excited to FINALLY be able to smile freely and to not have to edit every single picture taken of me.

All I can say is it was all for nothing. We saved and had to genuinely sacrifice to afford all of this for my well being and health only to have an even worse looking product than was placed nearly 25 years prior.

It all would have been fine I believe had they either one… told me the cement they use is grey or two just gone in a completely different direction for my complete satisfaction? I am not sure what the answer would have been as I am not a dentist. But my expectations FAR exceeded my outcome. My hygienist kept saying this was going to be a fabulous match (to the rest of my existing teeth) and again it WOULD have been but I wish she would have said to expect it to still be grey all over.

I told her repeatedly that I was excited because my old crown had metal underneath and it made that tooth look grey too and she always replied saying that this would be totally different because there’s not metal underneath.

My tooth sticks out like a sore thumb. It makes me incredibly disappointed and I smile less now than even before because I had told everyone that was getting a new tooth and now I just feel kind of silly.

Listen, in a day and age where the world is turning upside down I get it…this is 1st world problems. TRUST ME I GET IT. I have two children with an incurable disease…this is ABSOLUTELY the least of my worries but I just felt like if I could help another patient have realistic expectations then I would.

Overall, this dentistry absolutely did the job well and my tooth is fine, healthy, & functional.

They were very kind, worked well with me and seemingly thousands of other patients.

I absolutely AM NOT bashing their business…I simply wish to share my experience because again…I was so very disappointed thousands of dollars later.

Angela was very knowledgeable of her profession and seems to really enjoy and take pride in what she does, by far the best dental experience I’ve had

Excellent in every way. Hygienist was fabulous and gentle which I appreciated. I usually hate going to the dentist but this was an all around pleasant experience.

Everyone was so nice! I highly recommend this practice to anyone who needs Dental work done.

The best dentist we have ever been to! Extremely nice high tech (state of the art) facility, wonderful people, and excellent treatment!

Today I had an awesome experience. Starting from the receptionist to the dental hygienist to the doctor everyone was very inviting they were open and honest with me they even let me share my opinions on what I needed and wanted from them. Thank you so much for an awesome Experience.

When I arrived at the office, I had two of my grandchildren with me and not wanting to leave them by themselves in the waiting room, they came to the back with me when my name was called. The dental assistant was phenomenal! She was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. The dentist knew that I was very apprehensive and made me feel so comfortable. He took the time to explain in detail what needed to happen in order for me to have the desired results. I’d recommend Gainesville Family Dentistry to anyone who is scared of dentists as they make it a point to make sure that you are completely comfortable as well as completely informed.

Today was our first visit. The staff was friendly and helpful, our dental exam was thorough and they made my teen feel perfectly at ease. I was delighted to book our follow up. Great office!

Dr. Billingsley and his staff have always done a great job taking care of my teeth and my family’s dental needs. They are honest and only do what is necessary. Also, I’ve never had problems with using my insurance here. They file claims well and responsibly. Everyone is friendly and I never have to wait more than a few minutes when I arrive for my appointment. Their new location is extremely convenient for me and very clean.
