Distinctive Dentistry by Mullens & Nguyen

Dr Mullens, Caitlin and the rest of the staff I encountered today were absolutely amazing! Let me first say I loathe going to the dentist. After the last 5 years of attempting to fix what a previous dentist did and just poor genes in the teeth department, going to the dentist has become one of my top 5 most dreaded things in life. I moved to Florida about 2.5 years ago after finally finding a great dentist in Chicago I could actually trust. I faced the challenge of finding a new dentist that could complete the complex work my teeth needed and would continue to need. It got so bad trying to find an honest dentist here I started flying back to Chicago just to see my dentist there- which as you can imagine is expensive and very time consuming- all because the dentists I had seen here were eager to just pull teeth and push for unneeded procedures. Last night while at work one of my teeth unexpectedly broke!! Sheer panic set in knowing I cant get to Chicago for at least another month due to schedule issues. I took a leap of faith and called Dr. Mullens’ practice after being recommended by a friend first thing this morning. They fit me in just 2 hours later! From the second I walked in everyone was friendly and caring. Caitlin the dental assistant was so knowledgeable and immediately put me at ease. When Dr. Mullens came in I expected the same judgmental run around I would normally get and expected him to want to just pull my tooth. He listened to me, my dental work past and my concerns with most dentists I’ve encountered. He looked at everything and came up with the best plan for me and my tooth that was both a CONSERVATIVE yet an aggressive approach to save my tooth with as little invasive work possible- exactly what I needed and exactly what my dentist back home would do. He even took the time to compliment my other dentist on the work he had done to begin repairs on my teeth (that told me a lot about Dr. Mullens genuine character)! I was immediately so grateful and put at ease I honestly started to tear up. He was able to fix up my tooth in no time at all until I can return in a week for a crown. If you’re like me and unfortunately don’t just get to have a cleaning twice a year and call it good- and require some dental work I encourage you to give them a call. I don’t ever write reviews (honestly I think my only other review ever was my dentist in Chicago lol) but I know that the amazing reviews and recommendations are what pushed me to call and I’m so grateful I did. Thank you to all of the staff here for really helping me out today! I will recommend their services to anyone who asks here moving forward!

I have severe anxiety about going to the dentist. I have had several bad experiences in the past and they have made me very nervous about having dental work done. Everyone at Dr. Mullen's office was wonderful and totally put me at ease. My hygienist was so kind and easy to talk to. I saw Dr. Nguyen and he was awesome! Very approachable and very thorough. Everyone talks to you like you're an actual person, with a brain, not just a number. I cannot say enough nice things about everyone in the office.

This is the premier dental practice in NE Florida. Their focus on customer care is unparalleled. Their capabilities enable them to provide a wide array of in-office services not found in other practices. This group has handled my dental needs for almost 20 years. It's a confident, skillful team that will always make you smile

Recently, on August. 20th, I had my appointment with Dr. Nguyen. I was anxious from the start. However, from the greeting of Ms. Darlene, one of the ladies at the receptionist desk that followed all COVID precautions; went out of her way to escort my mother to the door....It was refreshing. We were greeted by Ms. Kathleen, the hygienist, with Dr. Nguyen and she was sweet as much as he was...He explained everything to me that I could understand and be more confident in my oral health. Also, I enjoyed Ms. Liz as she worked with me and my financial situation...Thank you guys so much!

My experience was sensational. The dentists and staff are professional and polite, and their equipment is beyond any dental equipment I’ve ever seen. Take my word for it; this is the place to go. ❤️

I absolutely do not like going to Any dentist so much that I have not gone to a Dentist for almost 10 ten yrs..I was forced to go today because my Medical Doctor said it was medically necessary in order to proceed with required medical treatments..I Loved Dr Nguyen and his Staff from the moment they greeted me at my car..they are friendly..welcoming..soo accommodating..offering me a blanket..presenting me with options if I have fear of future treatments..options that will work for me with future appointments..Darline met me at my car with a Huge smile and a compliment….Brook eased my fear and anxiety about appts with knowledge and care..Maribelle attempted to make me look good with her fantastic photography skills and fun...and helpful caring funny flexible Liz who became my Comedic Partner in Crime guided me through every step of the way..And lastly I cannot say enough about Dr. Nguyen..he’s calm…extremely positive..has a sense of humor when appropriate..presents the patient with treatment options as well as financial ones…I will be spending the next year with these people receiving extensive treatments..therefore this was not the only dentist I ‘interviewed’ ..but this was The Best and The Last

This is one of the most nicest dentist I have ever been to and I dont plan on ever leaving. They listen to your concerns and want to make sure you are 100% satisfied. Everyone there is so caring and compassionate AND they are great with my kids!

My experience in dental offices hasn't been the best. I feel like most dentists are a get you in and get you out. Then ask, "where is the payment." If you want to feel welcome treated as a patient and not a dollar, Dr. Mullens and Nguyen dentistry is the place to go. The staff is great. They made us feel comfortable, took the time to tell us what we needed and how they would go about the process. They were not trying to get us in and out. The staff was here for us, not for the money. Thank you, we appreciate it.

This group knows about time mgmt. You arrive on time and they put you in the chair immediately. No waiting around. That makes me smile!!

From the minute I walk in the door until I leave, I feel as tho Dr. Mullens and his staff truly care about my dental health. They are friendly, welcoming, professional and very knowledgable and trained in the dental field. I don't ever feel as tho I am being pushed into having dental work don't that isn't necessary. As a patient who is petrified of going to the dentist, once I get into the office, my fears seem to subside. I highly recommend Dr. Mullens and his staff.
