Dr. Patel is amazing and so gentle! Pulled 4 teeth without breaking any and all in 20 minutes. I think the problem here with complaints is I did get a $150.00 charge for an oral b toothbrush but look through your paperwork and read! I asked for it to be removed and it was right away. I did have to apply for care credit but how else will you afford fixing every problem in your mouth you have neglected for 12 years? I think patients are confused with past dentists that lie to you to make you feel good about your teeth. Honestly I wasn't happy when I found out I needed 4 teeth pulled 2 were wisdom teeth rotting far back. Also 11 metal fillings replaced and 5 new but I asked questions.....they showed me my xrays with visible decay under my existing fillings proving to me the work that had to be done. I also wasn't happy to find I had to have antibiotic shots to kill bacteria causing infection in my gums $75.00 a piece that my good insurance doesn't cover. I don't regret choosing aspen now have no pain in my mouth and the first time in 12 years my gums don't bleed when flossing! Dr. Patel tells the truth doesn't tell you what you want to hear but will solve every problem so you can go back to normal 6 month cleanings. Thanks again!

I've never like going to the dentist office. At Aspen Dental they were amazing made me feel comfortable. I just got dentures I was so nervous,but Mandie and Rachel explained everything thats gonna happen, then when it was time for the needles Karina took time to talk to me. Dr. Patel is an amazing dentist! He takes his time and makes sure u are comfortable. I would highly recommend them.

Great experience. The staff seemed to have a general concern for my comfort and dental hygiene (vs some places I have gone to in the past where things seemed like they were just reading off of a script). Dr. Patel had to give me a shot in the gum for a procedure and he was very slow/gentle about it. I will continue coming back to Aspen Dental in Machesney Park.

Dr. Patel did excellent work on a crown I needed. He gave great attention to detail. His dental assistant Libby made me feel comfortable during the procedure with her dancing and singing. I also want to thank Mandie for helping me find financing on the crown. Finally I would like to thank the Hygienists Kim and Taylor for getting back on the right track with the deep cleaning I received.

I went with Aspen as I travel for work and move often. I thought it would make it easier for my records to go with a chain. Upon calling to set up my first appointment, I was told I could only see the dentist at that appointment and not be able to get a cleaning. This was their protocol. As I am a contract employee, I'm not able to request off work easily, so I requested to also schedule with the hygienist for a later appointment while I was on the phone. The man told me that was not allowed. Taking off of work for multiple appointments is frustrating. The first appointment with the dentist went well, everything was fine. However it was difficult to schedule a follow up with the hygienist, as she only works 1 day out of that office (Rockford). The office scheduled me for an appointment with a hygienist at the Loves Park office. Not a problem. I took off work early, arrived on time, but then had to wait for 30 minutes for my appointment. Knowing that they are this far behind, it would be nice if they gave a courtesy call. I wouldn't have had to leave work early. My hygienist was apologetic for my wait, but blamed the schedulers and rushed through my appointment. They seem to be lacking in scheduling ability despite posted flexible hours and their courtesy could be drastically improved.

Also, for each appointment you go to, they send you several texts and emails asking you to review them and give them 5 stars. They also have this posted everywhere in their office. The requests are annoying enough on their own. If you are constantly requesting 5 stars, you should provide 5 star service on a routine basis.

Team was excellent, very knowledgeable , caring and asked me how I felt often. Karina the assignment was fun and enjoyable. Made a tough situation feel calm and relaxed. Not like any other dentist visit I have ever had. Thank you so much for the wonderful smile.

I was happy with my visit. They explained things to me that no one else has. The only disappointment, and is with all dental places, is that if you can't afford the out of pocket work and not eligible for any type of financing, you can suffer, the problem I have is that dentists and doctor's say how dental care is a health issue as well but hardly anyone can get the help to take care of themselves in that aspect.

What a good experience from the moment I walked in the door. I needed to get new dentures and was nervous. Jill, Meghan, Selma, and Dr. Patel made me feel so comfortable. All of them are so great. I felt no pain. I had my new denture the following day and they look beautiful, thanks to Ryan. Dr Patel and his staff are such caring people. I would recommend this dental office to every one.

The difference between the final cost $320 and the estimate $270 is something to keep in mind. "No surprises" is an Aspen Dental saying. Would you be surprised with this difference?

My dad just got new dentures at 91 years old. We got really good care from the staff at the Machesney Park location. One person, Kamille, was especially helpful caring and professional. Her excellent care will keep us coming back!
