PearlFection Dentistry - Frederick Maryland

My appointment earlier today was for a filling on one of my upper left teeth and it was done nicely by Dr. Huang. Dr. Huang and his assistant, Katrin, meticulously worked on my tooth to make sure that it was filled properly and not causing me any issues right after so that I can eat, drink, and smile with high level of confidence! Thank you once again Dr. Huang and Katrin for your care and commitment!

Dr. Huang did an amazing job fixing my sons tooth. I would definitely recommend!! The nurses were very patient and helped to calm my sons fears and anxiety about the procedure.

My first visit here was an emergency visit. I had a fractured filling that was causing some very intense pain, so I called around several dental practices to see if I could get an appointment within the week, but had no luck. One of the offices I called referred me to Pearlfection, so I called them, half expecting them to turn me down. Pearlfection booked me the NEXT DAY. I was so relieved I cried, because that’s how bad the pain was. I saw Dr. Stringer and her assistant Susan, and both of them were so sweet, and helpful, and genuinely put me at ease (I ended up needing a root canal). All the staff I’ve interacted with there have been very friendly, but Susan and Dr. Stringer definitely left an impression on me and were just generally wonderful people. I think I’ll be making this office my primary dentist from now on. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the wait times do tend to be a bit long- which I understand because they’re a big practice- and because they don’t seem to use topical numbing before they inject the lidocaine. Although my only experience with the lidocaine injection was with a different doctor, for my root canal. Maybe I was a little spoiled by my previous dentist, but I’m a baby when it comes to pain, and not having the topical numbing prior to injection was definitely a lot more painful than I anticipated. But overall I ended up really liking this practice.

Pearlfection dentistry is honestly the best experience I've had with a dentist . I've had alot of dental work done in the past and I've never been treated the way that I was treated at pearlfection. There dental assistant Susan was so nice and perfessional. She took the time to come up with the best plan that would work for me and my situation. I will definitely
be recommending them to others that need dental work. And the best thing besides there professional
assistance is it's a one stop shop for all your dental needs. You don't have to worry about having to go to a bunch of different places to have your dental work done. I strongly recommend pearlfection to anybody that needs dental work done in Frederick.

The attention to detail and customer service is amazing. I was looking for a dentistry since moving to Urbana, I have definitely found the spot. Also, I want to thank Susan for being so nice and making the process smooth!

Pearlfection dentistry in Frederick, MD. has been amazing through my new denture process. Very detail oriented, caring and great overall. Dr Chi is amazing and Katrin was great to work with. I'm a bit surprised that this practice has such great reviews - perhaps all the negative reviewers went to Yelp, where they have a very low score, and they go out of their way to solicit reviews on Google from only happy clients. But my experience with them was terrible.

I scheduled an initial appointment, for which I was told to allot 90 minutes. I ended up having to fill out a lot of paperwork at the beginning (why couldn't this be done in advance, via e-mail or their web site?). Then, they did x-rays and an exam, but no cleaning or other dental work although I told them I had specific issues I wanted addressed when I contacted them in the first place. Then, they set two separate appointments for a cleaning and MINOR dental work, which I was told they would confirm by e-mail (I had e-mailed with them previously when inquiring about going to the practice, so I knew I had no issues receiving e-mail from them, and I specifically asked if they would confirm appointments that way so they gave me no paperwork regarding future appointments). After more than a week not hearing from them, I called to figure out the appointment schedule and was told the first one was a day away! At that point, I had a work conflict, so I asked to reschedule.

This time, they confirmed the schedule over e-mail. However, when I called on the way to the appointment to let them know I was running five minutes late, they claimed I had never confirmed the appointment! This is although I could show them the e-mails back and forth confirming everything. After wasting time being put on hold, asked another question, put on hold, asked another question, and so on…they ultimately disconnected me (by accident, on purpose – who knows?)! But they never called back that day, or the next, or the next…

The final straw is that they just called me today to ask why I wasn’t there for my 1:00pm appointment given that it was 1:10pm – but I was completely unaware of an appointment at 1:00pm. I never would have agreed to such an appointment since I had an all day meeting for work yesterday and today. When I said, “I think I am done with this practice.”, the front desk person said, “That’s alright sir, I think the feeling is mutual…” and, in the snarkiest possible tone, she added, “…you have yourself a nice day.” When I commented that this treatment was unbelievable, she repeated even more sarcastically, “You have a nice day.” and hung up.

There are at least another DOZEN dental practices within a couple of miles of this one – I strongly suggest you choose one of them – I will be.

Dr Stringer and Susan were absolutely wonderful! I felt completely at ease and they answered all of my questions and took the time to listen to me and my concerns. The whole team at Pearlfection was great. Very professional, kind, and knowledgeable.

Absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly staff. Susan in particular was my favorite! She was so kind and pleasant to speak to. We chatted for what felt like 10 mins but was actually about 45 on a range of topics but mostly our favorite thing: food. I can’t say enough good things about Susan and Pearlfection as a whole. Dr. Stringer was also incredibly kind and helpful and I loved our conversation about Toronto. Great experience! Thanks Susan!!!

Empathetic! Professional! Accommodating! Three words to briefly describe this place. With three children I have been through a lot of dentists. Moving here from Charlotte NC was a big undertaking, to find a dentist that could compare. Pearlfection in Frederick has exceeded all other dentists. From the moment you walk in.... they care. Be open with them and tell them your fears(we all have them)....I promise they will do everything to change your perspective. Thank you Tracie for everything.🥰🥰
