I waited for over 2 hours for my SCHEDULED appointment. They told me they had not allotted enough time for the appt. Before me. Said I could stay or reschedule . I chose to stay thinking maybe an extra 15-20 min.wait. I could not justify taking off more time from work. Could not process my insurance because they claimed they needed my husbands SS#. The person who did my x-rays gauged several areas in my mouth. I became sick 2 days later with the back of my mouth swelled. I never did have my teeth cleaned as they should have been due to their scheduling error. They also couldn't wait to shove money issues in your face. Don'' t believe the commercial about no insurance no worries. They told me even with insurance I would be payng 60 percent up front even before my insurance. The front desk gal was also inpersonal and revealing way to much cleavage for someone who claims to be professional. I will not be returning or recommending this service to anyone.

Dr Shama & his entire staff have done a amazing job helping me manage my anxiety over dental visits! I had let my anxiety keep me away from dentists for several years & they now have me calm & my oral care is back on track! Their patience & understanding of how anxiety effects someone & their ability to handle it is beyond excellent!
I am so grateful for all that they have been able to accomplish with me!

Zero stars is what their service worth. Staff are friendly, but I had to wait for over 45 minutes (you don't have to be as patient as I was) for the doctor to show up. Not only he didn't, but also he didn't even had the courtesy of telling me that it's gonna take a while or apologize, nothing. Second time, waited 20 minutes, same scenario, then I left for good. Never gonna go back and suggest you don't too. One of the staff was upset that I was leaving! Excuse me!

When I go in for my 6 month cleaning, that service itself is great. However, I had my wisdom teeth extracted here in June 2016. I wasn't informed that I wouldn't be put under and my teeth literally had to be hammered out of my mouth. I didn't feel it because he did a good job of numbing the area but because I wasn't sedated at all, I had a panic attack in the chair. Again, I was NOT informed that I wouldn't be put under- in fact I wasn't really informed of the procedure at all.

Second- Whenever I go in for a cleaning, I have to wait for at least 30 minutes before they call me back, and then sometimes I wait another 20 or so minutes before the hygienist actually comes in.

Third- I have great dental insurance through my husband's work. I have only ever had to pay $42 for the fluoride treatment and the regular exam is covered twice a year. This April 2018, I received a bill in the mail for $118, stating I owed for an exam from April 2017. I called the Mankato office and asked them about this- they stated that I owed $76 because my insurance had sent me a check for that. I looked in my bank account, and yes they did, so I paid the $76 thinking it was taken care of. I received another bill for $42 for the periodic exam from April 2017- I asked the Mankato office again to look into this as I refused to pay it and they said they would. I AGAIN received another bill for $42. I am hoping to get this figured out, but in the end I am switching to my husband's dentist.

Really great people! My mom is raising all 3 of us on her solo income she loves taking us there but cannot afford what insurance doesn’t cover which makes her really sad because like I said before she likes the staff and me and my brothers like it there it’s just a lot of money

I went in with an infected tooth. Their routine 1st visit is extensive xrays, eval by hygienist, then very brief exam by doctor.
&then sitting with "finance" person. I was there over two hours!
I need a lot of work& was given an estimated care plan that was thru the roof. The hygienist care alone would be over $400! (Have since rec'd estimates for initial hygienist care at$150) They inclu a power toothbrush for over a $100 in the estimate!!?They did recommended an over the counter product for dry mouth & charged me $30 for small tube. The same paste is available online &at other dentists for $16-$18!! Also the treatment plan does not explain what each tooth requires, or a clear explanation.
I was given a prescription for my infected tooth but had to schedule another appt to have it extracted. I was told it could not be pulled while infected. I have since found out thru three other dental offices that it should have been pulled at that time!
A 50%deposit was required to schedule for the extraction. (I paid it but had health issues for first months of 2018 so I have not rescheduled for the extraction.)
They are very sales oriented as opposed to medically focused. The prices I have since received from other dentists are far below Aspen's. They are not affordable for those of us with no insurance and/or living on Soc Sec, retirement, disability etc.
I can only caution others seeking dental care.
I regret going there, letting them put me thru their intense sales process but not extracting the tooth! I regret that I paid for what should have been the "free first visit" and losing my $200+payment.
Be a smart, informed consumer!
Shop around!

Waited an hour after the appointment time only to be told “I’m sorry I have no idea when we will be able to get you in”. Staff that is more worried trying to fill a patient roster versus providing acceptable care to the patients that they already have waiting. If you are in need of a dentist, go anywhere else!

I wish I could actually leave review about the staff at Aspen Dental however, I have made 3 appointments in the past 6 months of which they all have been cancelled on me. 2 of them were cancelled the day of and now my latest one was cancelled a couple days before. They say they don't have a regular dentist and are using temp dentist.
