I have never liked going to the dentist since I was a little girl. Always frightened and always painful. So I didn't go much.
Until recently when I had to do something. Toothaches all the time, my front teeth looked horrible. My son, his wife, and my husband all went to Dr. Flack and came back with fabulous reviews!
So I thought I would give them a try. Couldn't stand the pain anymore. I had a lot of dental work done all under sedation and I will tell you that it was amazing!! I had extractions, deep cleaning and my front teeth fixed - all at one time! I don't remember a thing other than Dr. Flack and his staff and their wonderful care and kindness.
There are no more excuses for not seeing a dentist any more!! I would recommend Dr. Flack and his staff every time!! They are the best!! Thank you Dr. Flack and staff!!

Great experience at my latest appointment, Dr. Flack was able to downgrade some fillings to sealants upon a closer examination. No pain whatsoever, and was a cheaper and faster appointment as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly as always. By far the best dentist I've ever had.

I have been missing a tooth since I was 19 years old, so I finally decided to get an implant. I was very anxious before this appointment because I thought it would be really painful and take a very long time to complete, but I was pleasantly surprised. I decided that I did not need sedation and only had the doctor get me numb beforehand. The procedure went very smoothly & I was profoundly numb. All I could feel was some vibration and it just felt like I was having a cavity filled, but they were actually placing a fake root into my bone. Both the assistant and Dr. Flack made me feel very comfortable and kept checking to make sure I was okay & the appointment seemed to go very quickly. Afterwards I wasn't sure if I would have a lot of pain when I got home, but I am not in any pain. I have of course been rinsing with salt water like I was instructed, but I am pleasantly surprised to say that I was able to go into work today and I did not have any discomfort. The location in my jaw where it was placed is a little tender to touch, but I just haven't been touching it. I am happy to say that I am so very pleased with the experience I had & I hope that if anyone has reservations about having an implant placed, that they get the chance to read my experience and give this office a try.

After completing the procedure for a dental implant, I wanted to leave a review sharing my experience. From the extraction (which I feel is the most difficult part of the procedure) to the final placement of the crown, I received professional and competent care from Dr. Flack and his team. There was minimal discomfort involved in the steps of the implant procedure, and it was well worth both the time and expense involved. I am confident in the staff at N Mankato Family Dentistry; and recommend them for your next dental procedure. After being a patient for quite a few years, I can honestly say, "I love my smile."

I was visiting my daughter and chipped my front tooth. They were so accommodating and super friendly. I live out of state and was treated like a patient that had been going there for years. I appreciate the way you made my bad situation better. Thank you!!

My experience with Dr. Flack, Melissa and Laura has been outstanding. My case is complex and Dr. Flack developed a plan for me that included replacing old fillings and InVisalign. Most dentists would have sent me to an orthodontist but Dr. Flack was up for the challenge! My results met and exceeded all my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Flack and staff.

I started going to North Mankato Family Dentistry in order to get dental work done under sedation. I have been going here for 8+ years. After multiple sedation appointments, I tried going without sedation. Today I was able to get a tooth extraction without any sedation and everything went very well. I would recommend Dr. Flack and his team to anyone thinking about sedation Dentistry or to anyone that is thinking about switching dentists. Him and his team are very caring and curtious.

Dec 2019-I was referred to them from my original dentist for some work to be done. I was referred due to them having sedation as an option and my original dentist did not have that option.

All the employees were very respectful and professional from the secretary to the dentist. I had all my old metal fillings removed (more than 10) and had it all done in one appointment under sedation. The teeth were all in different quadrants of the mouth as well. After under sedation I do not remember much of it as it was a very helpful option for those that deal with anxiety issues. The doc said on average it takes about 2 weeks before you are fully healed. I was on the much higher side of the average and it took about 5 weeks before my teeth stopped completely aching as it was a large trauma to my teeth.

All in all the appointment went great and the sedation option helped through the anxiety issues. I would recommend this business if you have any anxiety during dental visits.

Dec 2022-Had 2 crowns prepped and seated. The sedation option worked very well, did not remember much of it. They had a good attitude and did good dental work. In between the temporary and permanent, I experienced a lot of tooth pain. This pain continued after the permanent was put in. The doctor was hesitant to give me some meds for pain, but did end up giving them after a few inquiries to the pain and the meds helped and took all the pain away. He refilled it one more time in between the temporary and permanent crown seating. I again ran out of pain meds and he would not give me any more meds as he brought up that they keep an eye out on that stuff and told me to go to the ER if I need more. The doc is aware of the past head trauma and teeth sensitivity from past appointments mentioned above. The day after the crown seating, I had to go to urgent care to get some meds because I had none available other than OTC meds. The meds given at urgent care helped and worked good. I was disappointed that I had to go somewhere else to get pain relief.

The quality of work and sedation option was beneficial and met expectations. Due to the hesitation of the doc giving me meds to subdue the pain is the reason for the rating I have given.

Dr. Schuck was incredibly helpful in taking care of some significant work for my special needs son. The whole team did a great job making him comfortable and getting him through the procedures. Very happy with the care and attention from North Mankato Family Dentistry!

Amazing staff! Had an extraction done and they made me feel very comfortable. Everyone was very nice. Great follow up care as well. They truly care about their patients. I had a bad experience years ago and had put off going for a broken tooth for 2 yrs. It's not covered by my insurance but this practice will be my new practice!
