My first visit was awesome and I was very impressed. The second visit, which was less than 2 weeks later was a different story. They repeated the same "photo" (not xray) exam that was done at my first visit (and it was an unpleasant experience the 2nd time). I was given a LONG laundry list of work that needed to be done to the tune of $4000 after insurance. This was told me while walking down the hallway where anyone could listen in. I feel like I do when buying a car, that I'm being led down a path to pad their pockets. I feel like I need a second opinion to make sure I'm not being hoodwinked.
Update about 2 weeks later: I had a tooth extracted that broke half way through. Although the dentist had to do a lot of work to get the rest of it out, I was never in any pain and even afterwards had only mild discomfort. I'm very pleased with my extraction.

This place is awesome! The office staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor was nice and listened to my concerns and opinions about what was going on and what I was wanting to accomplish. The financial associate was wonderful! She was so understanding and helpful in securing the necessary financing so I could make it all happen! Amazing! Just allow a couple of hours from start to finish if this is your first appointment. They are very efficient and somewhat busy ( they are popular!) I highly recommend this office! The other Rd St Peters!

I am new to the St. Charles county area, and I needed a dental office that was close by and that could see me right away. I made a call to Aspen Dental in St. Peters and they were able to make accommodations the next day for me and my son.

Michelle (Front Desk) - The first person that I encountered was Michelle at the front desk, and she was very friendly and helpful.
Julie (Dental Assistant) - was extremely friendly, and she answered all my questions as well as explained all the details to me.
Dr. Kimble (Dentist)- He was absolutely wonderful. He made me feel at ease even while performing a tooth extraction :-)
Kelly (Treatment Planner) - She greeted me with a smile, and she did an excellent job of explaining the cost and the payment options.

Aspen Dental on N Service rd is the best dental institute I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending. I have had horrible, traumatizing experiences with dentists, and this place is the only one I feel remotely comfortable visiting repeatedly. Dr. Herbst and the staff are so helpful and nonjudgmental, and they’ve always gotten me in so quickly when I had horrible pain. If you have dental anxiety or just absolutely hate going to the dentist, PLEASE GO HERE!!!

The office staff, dental assistants, dentist far exceeded my expectations!
Believe me I don’t like going to dentist and my teeth show years of neglect. The Aspen staff went above and beyond what I expected on the first visit. They offered different options for completion of my smile.
Of course my review is based on the St. Peters location.

My daughter and I arrived on time traveled quite a few miles to get there. First and foremost, our insurance company called and made the appointment and I'm wondering why they didn't obtain all our insurance information then. The end result we didn't leave Aspen Dental until it was closing time. RIDICULOUS!!! I HAD TO CALL AND GET THE CORRECT INFORMATION IN ORDER TO RECEIVE SERVICE'S FOR MYSELF AND MY DAUGHTER!

Experience was decent until it took me 2 months to receive my retainers. During that waiting period another appointment was scheduled and expected to be paid for when I still haven’t received the retainers I already purchased. Im not made out of money nor do I have time to keep going up there. On top of that I was met with a real non-chalant and snoody attitude by an unfamiliar receptionist as If I hadn’t been waiting almost two months already. That was the icing on the cake for me. Seems like no real efforts were made until I contacted their corporate/business line. Customer service and communication matters. Will continue my dental plan elsewhere.

My crown cracked and needed replaced quickly and my dentist could not get me in until the middle of December. I Google emergency dental and Aspen came up. I phoned them and they got me in the next day, put a temporary crown in and ordered a new crown which they will attach permanently. I am so happy I didn't have to wait 7 weeks.

If you want to be robbed of your money and wait for hours to see the dentist this is the place for you. My husband went here a few weeks ago and the dentist refused to work on him unless he got a "deep cleaning" which would cost hundreds of dollars with insurance. Then my mom had got dentures and after all was said and done they said she owed another 300.00 because they changed the procedure. Everyone in this office should be embarrassed to work for such a money hungry company. Dental care is expensive enough without crooks like you around. There are many other dental offices around with integrity and care for there patients go to them this place isn't worth your time.

If I could give a negative number I certainly would!
I originally contacted the office because I had heard their implants were more reasonable than the average. When I called, I was told I would need to see the dentist to discuss the prices so I made an appointment.... huge mistake!!!! This has by far the rudest unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. I should have left when I overheard the receptionist talking to a patient on the phone like a child that was being scolded. My appointment was at 2:45 I arrived at 2:20 to allow for enough time to complete the new patient paperwork then waited until 3 to be seen which was not a big deal. Spent 20 minutes getting a ridiculous number of x-rays. I was told it will cost $.50 as long as I did all of the x-rays again not that big of deal, but odd. Fast forward to 4pm....It has been an hour and 15 minutes and I still haven't seen a dentist. Obviously, I didn't expect a consult to take this long. I needed to be at a bus stop at 4:30. When I asked the staff how much longer it would be before I would see the dentist they left me in the room and returned with the office manager (Kate) who was incredibly condescending. From then on it only got worse. I was told this is how they do things. Okay, I suggested they may want to make new patients aware when they are scheduling so that they can arrange their schedules to allow for that amount of time. They looked at me like I was an alien and proceeded to explain their procedures as though I needed to conform to their norm. Again, I encouraged them to tell patients in advance.
Finally, a dentist entered the room! He was awesome! He explained to me that he had only been there a couple of days and that he had heard the same concerns from other patients. He quoted me $2500 for an implant and we discussed my options, then came up with a treatment plan. We agreed I should begin taking antibiotics and that he would be calling in a prescription to Walgreens. Again... he seemed Awesome!!!!!
Unfortunately, I am now back to dealing with the office staff. The office manager (Kate) takes me to a desk to discuss payment. Two crowns and three extractions &10,800 and some odd change. WHAT!? Oh, we will apply coupons so that it is only $6,800...okay feels off but I need to leave now to get the kids off the bus. Can I call you to discuss this? Kate tells me this is not a problem. I leave and call her back while I am driving home. Things get even more odd, the price they quoted me for the implants was for dentures rather than a single implant. Asking how that was different was a waste of time and only allowed (Kate) to take her condescending stance. I decide I need to think about all of this before moving forward. Then I confirm someone would be calling in the antibiotics the doctor prescribed to which she agrees would be happening. Fast forward two days..... the pharmacy has not heard from the dental office. I call to ask about this and get the receptionist (Page) you know the one I overheard when I arrived.... Guess who is now being treated talked to in the same tone? She will call me back....JUST WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I have never written a bad review about anyone, but this needed to be shared. I'm so upset by this that I plan to locate the owner of this specific office so that I can share what is happening.I find it very hard to believe that this business model is what they had envisioned. If this were my business I would want to know! .....JUST WOW!!!!!
