My former dentist. Their previous office was nicer but my first dentist there was no longer with the company. They only did basic x-rays and cleaning on me.No modern technology like my current dentist has. Probably because they participate with OHP.
Each visit the dentist only spends about 2 minutes with you. The hygienists do all of the work.
The last appointment I had scheduled there fell on the day of the 2019 snowstorm so of course it was canceled. They wanted me to wait 5 months(!) to get rescheduled. Can you imagine what would happen if you had a dental emergency?
I've since found a much better dental office with great staff and had the most thorough cleaning I've ever had.

I was apprehensive because of the poor reviews but to my relief it was a good experience. I just moved to Bend in April of this year and you know how hard it is to find a good doctor, right? Everyone in the office is friendly and I was treated with kindness and patience.
Dr. Montgomery is friendly, kind, gentle and very detailed. Lynn who did my x-rays was a gem. So no need to be worried because they will take good care of you.

WORST Customer Service I've experienced. I went in for an original check up and was told I needed to schedule a follow up appointment for cleaning. Before leaving I scheduled my follow up at 1:30pm 4 weeks later. I immediately pulled out my phone, added the appointment to my calendar. 2 weeks later I received a text message confirming my upcoming 1:30pm appointment. A week later I received the same text message confirming my upcoming 1:30pm appointment. The day before my appointment I received a voicemail message confirming my upcoming 1:30pm appointment the following day. I reworked my daily work schedule to accommodate my 1:30pm appointment and woke up the day of my appointment and got going into my busy morning. Once my busy morning was done at 1pm I grabbed my phone and was getting ready to head to my 1:30pm appointment when I saw that I had received a text earlier that morning stating "Gentle Dental looks forward to seeing me at 10:20 AM". I called to ask them about it and they informed me I had missed my appointment and needed to reschedule!! Even after receiving multiple text messages AND a voicemail message confirming my 1:30pm appointment, they stated it had ALWAYS been schedule for 10:20am. I informed them that they were incorrect, that I'd not only put in my calendar before leaving after my last appointment, but had received multiple confirmations of my 1:30pm appointment from them via text voicemail. They told me they had no record of the texts or voicemails and adamantly told me that it had ALWAYS been scheduled for 10:20am and that I needed to reschedule. Asked them how I could trust that they wouldn't screw me over in the next appointment and they became indignant so I decided that I was never going to use them again and found one of their competitors.

They will rip you off! Prior to them performing my dental procedure they made me deposit 50% of the estimated cost, which was a little over $500. My health insurance then paid the claim at 80%, stating the maximum they could bill me is a little over $200. They owe me $300 that I can't get back. I have been to their office a few times on this issue, but months later they haven't followed up on getting me a refund. I got the Better Business Bureau involved, but they haven't replied to the BBB attempts to communicate. The BBB is now recommending I contact the State Attorney General's Office. Stay away from this dentist office!!

Update... After my initial post, they quickly contacted me to resolve this issue. They have now fully reimbursed me the full amount owed. I am however leaving my 1-star rating because nobody should have to go through this kind of stuff to get a refund.

Worst place I've ever dealt with. So unorganized, do not follow thru with follow up care they say they are going to, constant front desk mistakes, always to full for appointments. I'd say it was just one dentist bit I've tried two there now and same story for both! They tell u one thing such as your next app is for this and then you go in and they say, well that's not what it says we are seeing you for today. Both dentists said they'd send in paperwork to my insurance and never did. I finally called and an office girl helped. Haven't heard from them since. Have to wait 4 months just for a cleaning! Over all, worst place ever and I'd switch if I had another option with my insurance.

I have had nothing but an AMAZING experience here!!! I’m an ex drug addict and I had to have all my teeth pulled. It was a process but Dr. Hallie McNaughton was amazing and helped me through all of it..she actually cared about me and my situation and she showed that! Her compassion for others and her determination to make sure her patients are satisfied exceeds the stars I can rate on this page. The girls up front; they are so caring and friendly as well. I now take my children here and I have recommended this place to everyone on my Facebook! This is the place to go!!!

I have had nothing but the absolute worst service I've ever experienced in my entire life with your company. I have called three separate times to rectify my bill even though I was told during the time if the service that I was already paid current for my ONE preventative cleaning, each time I called they have told me that the bill is satisfied and I owe nothing. Each time, I have gotten a bill in the mail MONTHS after speaking with someone. I'm absolutely sick of this, I had one teeth cleaning with your provider and I keep getting bills in the mail saying that I owe you money. I have never experienced such chaos in a medical field in my entire life, this coming from someone with 10 years of medical experience. This is absolutely unacceptable. Anyone remotely considering going here, DONT, please don't! Save yourself the absolute headache of a "medical provider". Worst decision ever!

This is my first one star review ever. I had an appointment at 4pm to get some cavities filled. They had me wait in my car and about 4:30 nothing had happened so I checked. Long story short, they took me back at 5:20, sat there until 5:40, the doctor came in and numbed me up, then the office manager came in and said they wouldn't be able to get to me that day.

She did "find" some room on the schedule for me to come back in for that appointment and said she would see if they could help with any compensation, but that was a lie.

I decided to give them another chance and went back in for my scheduled cleaning a few weeks later. I showed up and they had given my appointment away due to a "new" policy requiring confirmation on the phone, but somehow they had the wrong phone number on file? Maybe you should let your customers know of these policies when they make an appointment? Confirm their phone number? Try to email? I wasted time off to give them a second chance.

I have never had the number of problems at any other type of doctor or dentist. I went home and called a new dentist. I would recommend you do the same.

Don't take your child here if they have a disability. Gentle Dental will refuse to do any accommodations. My child is unable to wear a mask, but they refused to let him wait outside and walk into the building and room when his name was called. At first the receptionist said it was okay, but then she got overruled. All other medical places have allowed this accommodation. Every single patient takes their mask off to get their teeth checked and they can't accommodate a disabled 9 years old not having a mask on for a few seconds walking to the room? What kind of BS is that? Also, this place is extremely cramped and their employees are 2 feet away from each other anyway, it's not as if the masks are doing much in that scenario. They even refused to let wearing a face shield be an option. Someone or some people there have an irrational fear.

Terrible scheduling practices. They offer two options to confirm an appointment. I had been waiting a month for my appointment and confirmed it via their texting option and they canceled my appointment, even after receiving a notification that I had confirmed my appointment. They said they had no control over it because I didn’t call. I will never come back to this place and would never recommend this office to anyone.
