I felt very lucky to have such a fantastic dental experience. From the assistant Brittney, to the hygienist Lisa and the Dentist Dr. van der Bunt the whole process was done in a way that kept me at ease. They all took the time to answer my questions about my continued care as well as keep me from becoming anxious during the procedures. I am finally not afraid to go to the dentist. Thank you so much for taking such great care of me.
I did have to laugh at the art work in your office, it seems a bit outdated considering it is from the 80's, at first I was hoping that the instruments you used in the office were a bit more updated than your art work. lol

Seriously you have a medical professional uncomfortable with a mother breast feeding a child? This man has no business as a health care provider in this state. As a former health care provider I can think of no situation where my comfort was more important than patient care. I will guarantee when he is in need of care no other medical professional will ever be side tracked from their job by a hungry child, exposed body part or any other situation that is non life threatening when they are caring for him. Because most care givers are professional!

My name is Brett and I was recently seen on Saturday the 18th and Monday the 20th for a very simple and straight forward extraction of two teeth that are continuing to cause excruciating pain. I was told that on Saturday I would have these two broken and painful teeth extracted on Monday as all x-rays and imaging were done Saturday. When I arrived Monday I was bullied by no less than 3 people in my operatory who would under no circumstances remove my painful infected teeth. Dr. Joshua van der Bunt told me he would not even consider removing my broken teeth until they had removed every single good tooth in my mouth, even though 12 of them were in perfect working order. The Dr. insisted I needed full dentures and would not take no for an answer. When I said I wanted to think about he said the consultation was over (I was there to have 2 teeth pulled). I only need a partial denture but Dr Joshua van der bunt told me it would be much better to remove all my teeth and start over. I still have enough teeth in my mouth to chew and eat my food properly, but Dr Joshua van der Bunt, the dental tech and the other unknown person in my operatory suddenly became very agitated and commenced with the most uncomfortable hard sell I have ever encountered. I was flat out told that removing every single tooth in my head would make it impossible to chew, but I would get used to it after 4-6 months. I then asked Dr Joshua van der Bunt if I could keep the good teeth to chew with and take out only the bad teeth for the time being. Dr. Joshua van der Bunt flat refused and stated this was a consultation only, after I had had the exact same consultation 2 days earlier without talk of removing any good teeth until such time required, with Dr. Stephen Alan, which he understood. Dr Joshua van der Bunt then told me he would put me on a course of Antibiotics when my chart clearly stated I had finished a course through St. Charles 2 days ago. So it's obvious he had not even glanced at my chart. I a am a college graduate with an advanced degree in the sciences. I am also a salesman and know a money scam when I hear/witness it. I have never felt less cared for and more disregarded in my entire life. This was nothing short of disgusting. After I said I would not be having my bridge removed and all my other functional teeth, they pushed for a deep clean cleaning on and around my painful teeth. Why in God's good name would they offer to clean my remaining teeth when they told me these teeth needed to be removed today, even though I was scheduled for 2 simple extractions. Why would they want to scrape and rake steel dental tools over my throbbing teeth. First....they have little regard for the patients level of comfort. Second.....they wanted to bill my insurance company under false pretenses. First....one totally unnecessary second consultation. Second... pulling teeth that were just fine so they could bill the insurance company for an unnecessary procedure, which included full dentures. I have money for implants but that would not put money in their pockets today, mass extractions would. From the moment I entered the operatory, I was subjected to the most intense hard sell experience of my 47 years on this Earth. I will be filing a formal complaint tomorrow with the ADA, The Better business burea and the Willamette Dental Group. I will also be calling the Bend Source and the Bulletin. In my opinion, Dr Joshua van der Bunt has an over developed sense of self entitlement, thinks far too much of himself and has zero desire to actually listen to those whom his business relies upon. He wants to do what he wants to do, patients be damned. Bend Willamette Dental flat out disgusts me. Shame on all of you!!! I must however mention that Dr. Stephen Alan was awesome, but he now has his own practice in Lapine and I will go directly to him for my next procedure, provided he is in no way affiliated with Willamette Dental group. I now know why he is leaving the Willamette dental group in Bend.

I had an er visit last Thursday I had a tooth that was killing me and I had started self treatment of antibiotics and on the second day I couldn't take it anymore. Called Willamette and was able to get in. They took x-ray of the tooth in question did a quick exam. Told me I needed a root canal. He gave me a persciption of 10 pain meds and handed me a card to a different office in the area and told me they would contact me with in 24 hours. With it being a holiday weekend we where going to go camping but couldn't because I was in so much pain that I couldn't get under control. I called the office a total of three times over the weekend with no response. I called again tusday and asked if I could see someone because I couldn't take the pain anymore. I was on a soft food diet, was taking 800 MG of ibuprofen every 3.5- 4 hours, had an ice pack on my face constant, was puting anbesol 4-5 times a day,and had finished the antibiotic with no relief. I was Called back and was told three times that the dentist was not going to give me any more pain meds and he refused to do a partial root canal or open the tooth to put medication on it. He did everything he could for me unless i wanted my tooth pulled, and he sent my refural to another office so I had to contact them in order to get treatment. I informed him I never once asked for pain meds all I wanted was relief and some treatment to get me through till I was able to get a root canal. I also in formed him that he gave me a prescription for 10 pain meds on Thursdays and I could take 1 every 6 hours. It is now Tuesday and I have two left. So tell me again that I'm med seeking! I was never so upset in my life. I have been going to Willamette for 4+years and I will have to say I will never go back.

I was initially happy with the work Willamette Dental had done. However, 6 months later my fillings are loose, cracking and falling out. I would not go there again.

I’d give it less than one if I could. Honestly the worst place ever. I took work off for an appointment made 1 month out, when I went in that morning they told me the doctor called in sick and there was nothing they could do. I just needed a cleaning!!!! And then they couldn’t reschedule me for another month and a half!!!! The lady at the front desk was the rudest person ever.

I've been treated well here. I don't like going to the dentist but have always been "happy" with the quality of the work done here and the folks doing it.

Best experience ever. Very gentle dentist. Dr. Chris Williams was kind and did an excellent job extracting my tooth. I recommend him to everyone!
