Booked an appointment. I took off work and pulled my kid out of school, when I arrived they said "sorry we don't have you on the books. You can come back in 4 weeks". Now I have a 13 year old girl who was eager to get her braces off. If it wasn't braces, I would switch Dentists.

While the doctors are good the receptionist lacks in manners. She actual made fun of me. She has no ability to show empathy or compassion. Would have stay with Modern Dentist if not for her.

I can't say enough of the great people here. I went from feeling miserable to wonderful in a matter of hours. Maranda & Yvonne met me at the front desk as a walk in, set me up with a same day appointment and Dr. Cicone assisted by Taylor absolutely took fantastic care of me. Dr. Cicone is spectacular to say the least, can't thank you all enough. I appreciate y'all, thank you. Highly recommend!

No matter how much I say it's not gonna be enough. I have been coming to this office for 7 years. Wonderful staff!!! Very professional ,very caring !!! Doctor Guan is awesome and very caring !!! Angela is the sweetest ,she always greets you with her beautiful smile :))))

From the office staff to dentists and specialists, my experiences with this office have been top notch! It’s convenient to be able to go to an office where you can see a dentist and a specialist or hygienist on the same visit. Dr. Guan has always been wonderful and Dr. Strong made getting a root canal as painless as possible!!

So i have been coming here for about two years now and i never have had any issues until now. The front desk people are not the nicest and their customer service skills can be greatly improved with some proper training, but the dentist's are always nice. Sometimes i have to do payment plans due to other financial agreements but i have never had an issue with this in the past. Today i woke up to an email stating they had taken out $54.20 and that in turn caused my account to be overdrawn about 19 bucks. I had originally set up a payment plan for today(26th) but i ended up paying it early on the 17th. Why was money taken from my account if i already paid off the amount? I called and spoke with Tyler who had an attitude when i interrupted him from trying to tell me he saw nothing on his end. Yes, i am wrong for interrupting but telling me you don't see it on your end is not the correct answer to someone who has already paid their bill and has no money to their name. I said my spill and after i was done he said "let me know when i can speak" and that caused me to become even more upset. He stated he would call me back after he spoke with their financial company and i checked my bank account after speaking with him. I noticed they did a reversal and the money was put back into my account as well as i think the over draft fee was dismissed. He sent me an email stating he tried calling me several times, which i didn't receive any calls nor do i show anything missed since i had it out waiting on his call; but the email stated what i already found out. My biggest issue with this situation, is that it should have never happened in the first place since i already paid the bill a week prior. I was also in the office last week and set up a different payment plan and nothing was mentioned about still being set up on a this old plan. I don't like how this situation was handled by Tyler nor do i have confidence to set up any more payment arrangements due to this.

The Dental Staff here is great, I have been a patient for years and have no complaints. They are a team of passionate, and compassionate workers who make the experience of going to the dentist much more enjoyable.

Dr. Guan is the best!!!!!!! I love this dentist so much he takes really good care of his patients and I always leave feeling very confident with the work that I got done. The staff are also amazing and super friendly and knowledgeable about any questions I have. I would recommend this place to family and friends!!!!

I had a bad toothache and my wisdom tooth needed to be pulled I was super scared to be at the dentist. Dr.Guan and his assistant Rashonda, explained everything that needed to happen,in order for me to have a better experience they made me feel comfortable and they were very patient with me, they took the time and understood it could be scary and they made the process simple and easy. I will definitely go back when i need more dental work. They took care of me and made sure that i felt good throughout the process it was a very good experience they are professional and very understanding and they will work with the patients to make sure you have a great dental experience. shelly w

Oral Surgeon Dr.Rex Cockrell is exceptional and the BEST dental surgeon we have met.
My son had a bad swelling in the mouth and was in terrible pain on the 18th of July 2015. We had to rush him to Lone Star Dental which was the only place we could get an appointment on a Saturday. We were advised to extract his 4 wisdom teeth as soon as possible. His usual Dental office could not give us an appointment for the extractions and I contacted my Dental clinic which is Modern Dentistry and they gave us the appointment for the 23rd of July. After taking antibiotics my son was still in pain and the swelling was still the same. On the day of the surgery Dr.Cockrell examined him and informed me that the infection is quite bad and he was not sure whether he could extract all four teeth as his primary concern was clearing up the infection and extracting the teeth on that side. My son was very keen on taking out all four teeth. The surgery went well and all four teeth were extracted and my son was happy. I was very happy that Dr.Cockrell gave his phone number to contact if we need anything. Since my son was not eating and drinking I called the doctor for advice. He wanted him to take 8 Gatorade bottles for a day and to my surprise every 2 hours the doctor called to check how he was doing and whether he took his Gatorade. On the 24th evening he developed a low grade fever and the doctor advised me to take him to the pediatrician the next day. His fever went up to 103 and we took him to the pediatrician and she changed the antibiotic. Still the doctor was in touch with us calling and texting, checking on my son.
Next day his fever did not go down and he was feeling very sick without any food and drinks. We took him to the Cedar Park Regional emergency and they did blood work and was not happy with his blood levels and rushed him to Dell Children's within 1 hour. He was admitted to the hospital and doctor Cockrell made a personal visit to check on my son which made my son happy. He excused us and said he will come back in 10 minutes and went out. I was surprised to see the doctor coming with a bag full of tennis gifts for my son which made him so happy and that was the first time he smiled after all his issues. His thoughtfulness, caring nature and been there when we needed help and prayers were unbelievable. I have never seen a doctor care for his patients the way Dr.Cockrell did and all our friends, relatives and the staff at Dell were impressed with how he treated my son. He still checks on our son and prays for him.

That was not the only incident we experienced at Modern Dentistry.
Doctor Guan who is my Dentist is excellent too. I had to go for an extraction and a filling a couple of weeks ago and Dr.Guan did not charge his professional fee. He informed me to pay only the co pay which was a surprise to me. Because of what I had to go thru with my son he did not want to charge me. I have been going to Doctor Guan for sometime and he has been very good with all dental work he had done for me.

The staff at the office is very kind, understanding and very helpful in any situation.
