MINT dentistry | Highland Hotel

I went to Mint off Skillman in Dallas, the staff is absolutely great. I went in August 2021 for pain, swelling, and discomfort around my cap that was installed 2 years prior, I knew it was a gum infection stemming from the cap that was put in, but when I went and asked about what I could be done about it, the dentist at the time told me I would have to remove the cap that they installed, wait a few months then get another put in because somehow the one they put in prior was causing the gum infection and that I would have to pay for all of it out of pocket since my insurance wouldn’t help cover any of it. I simply don’t understand how the work they did two years ago cannot be helped at all. Basically came in to get a prescription for antibiotics and that’s all the dentist could do/was willing to do. And here I am 2 months later October 2021 with yet another gum infection stemming from the cap they installed.

Every single person here is extremely personable and very kind. This is, by far, the best dental experience I've ever had. They provide music of your choice, massage dental chairs, sunglasses for the bright lights, and water. And everyone talks to me about each step of the process before we even get started so I know what to expect. Love, love love MINT Dentistry!!

I've been going to Mint for my dental work for a few years now and absolutely love it. Every time I come in I'm reminded how awesome a dental experience it is. The last time Paige at the Mockingbird location took great care of me. Even though you see different staff each time, they're all highly qualified, professional, and thorough. Win win win...

Upon arriving Mint Dentistry I was greeted by a very sweet receptionist then had my xrays done. Once completed they immediately took impressions of my teeth for the complimentary whitening trays. The doctor came in and performed her exam which was followed up with my cleaning. Minus the sensitivity of my top teeth the cleaning was great! The staff was extremely nice and the facility was very clean and up to date. They gave me my complimentary whitening kit and I was on my way! Great place to go for your next visit!

I broke a tooth yesterday and they got me in and fixed it today! I was invited to come early as they were running ahead. I waited less than 5 minutes before going back to the treatment room. The tech was polite, professional, and gentle while taking the x-rays. The Dentist was Terrific! I’m very afraid of the dentist office usually, but the Mint Team is helping me get past those fears!!

Let me preface this with saying that I have never had any problems with my teeth; no cavities, never had any orthodontics work. The most I've had done is wisdom teeth extraction with no problem.

So I went in for a simple teeth cleaning, came out with a diagnosis of 6 cavities that "I needed to get filled." 6!? Zero insight or explanation or anything to help tell me more about the diagnosis. The Dentist (who I still to this day have no clue of her name) just sat down after not even looking at my ACTUAL teeth, just said "yeah, you have some cavities and you need to get them filled." That's it..very blunt, not helpful at all.

After having their "procedure coordinator" or whatever she was (again, don't know her name or why they have hired someone for that position? Completely adds onto the fact of how sketchy this place is), my bill went from $2000, to $1000, and down to me only paying $100. Sounds weird, and again, no sort of explanation or anything.

I ended up calling my Dentist I have seen for 13 years (only came to Mint because I don't live close to her office anymore), and she took a look at my x-rays and images. Just got off the phone with her and she said there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with my teeth and to run away as fast as I can from Mint. She also referred to them a "money sucking conglomerate." Any dentist office that can advertise SO MUCH about their neat "perks" and luxury offerings, must be sucking money from somewhere. As someone who works in advertising and media, they are spending a ton in advertising!!

If you care anything about integrity and don't want to take any part in taking advantage of insurance, then do not go to Mint Dentistry. I will not be back, and never refer ANYONE to go there. They play off the fact that you won't ever see the same hygienist or dentist as, "working as a team." I do not buy it.

Only good thing I can say was they were friendly. That's about it. As far as dental "care", not their expertise.

I went to this dentistry based on all the good reviews. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. However, don't let the giant TV screen in front of the bed and the portable x-ray device fool you. During my last 2 visits for dental cleaning, I was told by 2 different dentists at the Mockingbird location that I need a crown on 2 different molar teeth. I was hesitant about getting a crown (even though my insurance would have covered all the cost). I just didn't like the idea of removing much of the tooth's original structure. The second time they advised me to get a crown (because they saw a tiny cavity on a previously filled teeth), I decided to get a second opinion. So I went to Baylor college of dentistry and had my teeth checked by a dental professor. There was absolutely no need for a crown, nor could they see the cavity in question. Please be aware. Always get a second opinion when getting a major dental treatment. Another reason I'm giving this dentistry a single star is because after my first visit for 5 small fillings (who knows if I really needed 5 fillings) they sent a $2000 bill to my dental insurance, when they told me in person that the insurance company's share of the cost would be $600. They managed to get $1100 from my insurance company and cap my yearly limit. No harm done there, I didn't need to visit a dentist again that year, but I have every evidence to believe that this dentistry is driven by greed rather than care for patient's teeth.

I love this dentist office. The staff is always friendly and comforting. I've never had a bad experience in the 5 years I've been coming. Massage chairs, Netflix/Pandora and even sunglasses to keep the light and water out of your eyes, luxury at its finest.

My new dentist!!! I seriously love Mint Dentistry and they really do take care of their patients! I did not know this kind of dental office even existed! I just moved to Dallas and was referred to Mint by my coworkers. They are so nice, friendly, caring, and did an awesome job fixing my 2 front teeth that were chipped and did a great job with my teeth cleaning. I have PPO insurance so I did not have to pay anything at all and even got free teeth whitening trays that you get to take home and use whenever you want. They are so easy to use. I've used twice this week and my teeth look whiter and better than ever! My mom and sister went today since they have PPO insurance. They are just as shocked at the whole experience as I am! Hands down, THE BEST! Thank you MINT!

Awesome experience at Mint Dentistry. The staff was great, Zero wait time, listen to the customers needs. A lot off freebies. Decided on getting my veneers done through them... Did I mention free whitening too! You all ROCK!
